"So, you two are this close. You even play games." Ahmed spoke up.
He couldn't help but detect the main reason for Sarah being so eccentric over everything.
Seems she likes Drake and based on how Drake wasn't even looking at her, Ahmed could tell the feeling isn't mutual.
Now that he recalled Drake, he knew he was the lucky one, when it comes to girls.
They always want to be friends with him. He's that pretty boy that even adults would even randomly give something to, claiming he's so adorable.
"Not really. Sarah has been in contact with me for a few years after I got overseas." Drake said.
He didn't mention how his life was less lonely then, because of Sarah. Even though it was quite disturbing that the girl reached out to him all the time, he wouldn't deny that it helped.
He had someone to play games with and talk to, before he adjusted to the new surroundings.
He wouldn't have cut her off if she hadn't tried to give their relationship a title then.
It was starting to get too intimate for his liking, because she began to call in the middle of the night and claimed she couldn't stop thinking about him and just want to hear his voice.
She was starting to misinterpret his response.
He believed since they are friends, things like that are normal, so he quickly cut her off to avoid it going too far.
Then he gives excuses that he would be going camping, excursion and so many more and claims the area wouldn't have strong connectivity.
Most are just silly excuses, but one day, Sarah asked him straight up if she's disturbing him and Drake replied 'yes'.
She ended the call immediately and he didn't bother to call back.
He could be funny and shameless. Even flirty, but he knew when to not go beyond.
That's when he could be considered harsh and some will claim he's callous.
But at the end of the day, he was like that for their own good.
Sarah seem to get over him after a few months of believing he would call her and didn't receive any call
She was still young then and being a very pretty girl, she was prudeful and didn't want to call him first.
After realizing she couldn't get him off her mind, she chose another approach and that's letting them stay as friends like before.
Drake agreed, but still ignored her most of the time. He rejected the game's request and their conversation was limited to casual greetings on WhatsApp, which would take him like eternity to reply to her.
Yet, it seems she only likes him more and Drake could only blame his good look for that.
He classifies himself as a perfect man.
People say nobody's perfect, but Drake considers himself to be.
He had the perfect height, look, wealth, influence, character and he just couldn't point out any categories he's lacking, so that's probably what was at fault.
He's just irresistible, but it seems a certain lady isn't letting that sink in.
Morgana.
Sarah had gone on filling her brother in about their past interaction and Drake's mind remained at the entrance where Morgana would step out from.
She's here! He screamed internally as the heavenly beauty stepped in again.
Drake stares at Ahmed who was now sipping his tea.
Are these people blind or what?
He wondered how they even hired this lady to work as a maid.
If a fashion show company gets hold of her, they won't let her slip off their clutch, as she's going to make their product bloom.
If the gown she's putting on at the moment could be worn by men, Drake wants it as pajamas.
To sleep in it.
Damn!
Hearing Sarah give her instructions and nodding obediently just further confirm the girl's status in the house.
Morgana left afterward, to bring the aluminum framed Ludo board.
Drake has already cooked up a perfect plan in his head and it was working.
He asked Sarah if her maid could help make coffee instead of tea, which she quickly agreed with.
Morgana frowned at that.
She could still smell the aroma and the more he talked, the stronger it got that she would have sneezed if she hadn't held her breath most of the time.
While Morgana was gone, the three began playing the game and Drake was casual enough to set rules on his own.
All this was so embarrassing and ridiculous, but screw that!
If it will give him audience with the heavenly beauty, then who cares.
Ahmed seemed cool with everything and Sarah was over the moon that he's even willing to play with them.
So, he's the only one who knows what he's doing is silly.
The game was supposed to be played skillfully, but somehow the dice was showing double one repeatedly as if it's programmed for him.
Sarah and Ahmed had their mouth wide open.
"What rotten luck." Ahmed teased.
Drake cursed inwardly.
He's more pissed over this. With this, he wouldn't be able to win quickly and leave the duo to continue.
He had requested they use one token, for the game to be quick. And now, the siblings both have their token moving towards half the journey.
But luckily for him, Sarah's token stopped at his entrance and when it was his turn, he got the exact number to kick her token back inside and she's going to start from scratch.
His joy knew no bounds when Sarah threw the dice and she also came out behind his brother.
Now they would have to make some cat and dog race.
As if on cue Morgana came in.
She dropped the coffee flask on the table and was about to leave, when Drake spoke.
"Sarah, can your maid show me to the restroom?"
Sarah was engrossed in the game and didn't want to lose.
She felt like it would be embarrassing to lose in front of Drake, so hearing Drake wanting to use the restroom, "Morgana, show him to the guest restroom." She said, feeling less tensed.
Morgana glared at Drake, surprising him.
When he came out of his slight shock that this woman still hadn't been smitten, he flashed her a smirk and gestured her to lead the way.
