Chapter 11 - His lie

Adrenaline rush inside Morgana as they drove out of the building.

She was sitting at the back, while Drake and Sarah sat at the front.

Seriously, she still couldn't point her finger on why she is needed on this journey, but who is she to go against her boss.

The rate at which Sarah will snap after a mistake from her, would be abnormal.

It was linked to the curse, so she couldn't wholeheartedly blame the lady at times, because a normal boss that couldn't tolerate the worker would have just fired the person, but they are stuck together.

"Drake, are you okay?" Sarah asked as she drove in a dangerous pace that got Drake worried.

The pain has died down, but it still hurts a little.

He was complying with this hospital stuff, because he needed to confirm if he would still be able to perform as a man and also get some time with Morgana.

"I'm alright now, so drive slowly before we get in an accident that will involve all three of us getting treatment later." He said.

Sarah also realized her reckless driving and slowed down a little.

Seeing that Drake was able to talk, unlike before, she proceeded to asking him what had happened.

Meanwhile, Morgana couldn't explain how she's feeling at the moment.

So pretty. She thought, as she looked outside the window with sparkling eyes.

She was never interested in the outside world and even though most wouldn't believe this, she had spent all her life as a banished cat, indoor.

She could easily count the number of times she went out and that was when Ayana was busy and she had no choice but to go dispose the trash bag outside.

She has seen a few vehicles driven by in the process, but she didn't really pay much attention to them and just returned inside.

She was mesmerized by the number of humans all over the place, going about their daily lives and also wowed by the giant buildings she could see.

She had only seen them in television, but now she's seeing them for real.

Her face was pressed to the windshield, while her heart continued to beat erratically.

So beautiful. So many humans.

She thought naively.

She saw couples holding hands, students in uniform, supermarkets, corporations that looked like they were touching the cloud from her angle and something odd happened.

"It looks more beautiful at night."

This sentence was heard in her head and she immediately recognized the annoying voice.

Morgana was too busy to care, but still slightly turned, only to notice Drake staring at her through the side mirror, but Sarah's question had broken the momentum and Morgana didn't ponder on why and how she could hear him in her head.

Drake also had no idea what he was wishing he could tell her at the moment was delivered.

The sight of her looking so Innocent and mesmerized, was just too cute of a sight.

He couldn't help but wonder how she will react if she sees the city at night.

Morgana continued to dwell in her mesmerization, and couldn't help comparing this sight to her own world.

There aren't vehicles in her world and neither were there people working on two feets.

Everything in her world was created with special abilities.

Each of them with a useful ability to make their clan grow, would be taken in by their ruler and with help, the abilities will be strengthen and then put to mass usage to benefit all.

This was how they expand their world, as more special abilities surface from new borns and so on.

Seeing all the building, Morgana wondered if some humans has special abilities as well.

Her train of thought was disturbed by fright from the word Sarah had spoken.

After Drake had cautioned her to drive safely, Sarah asked him what happened exactly.

Is he going to tell her the truth?

She felt her hands shaking slightly at the thought of having to go through hell from now on, but his reply gave her another shock.

"My gain from being infatuated with sex. Maybe I've contacted some sort of infection. I couldn't pee earlier…."

"Drake." Sarah cuts in, her ears all red and first thing first, she turned to look at the third person in the car.

Morgana was still looking outside the window and even though she was shocked as well, she pretend to not paying any attention.

Drake also looked outside without a care, while Sarah couldn't find another word to retort to what he said.

At least, not when Morgana is around.

Drake just hoped this would be a turn off for Sarah, so that she wouldn't be a hindrance in his pursuit for the angel at the backseat.

He just hope Morgana would at least understood he lied and not take it as a turn off, like he wished Sarah would.

Ufff!

Sucks being a perfect guy. He thought, while shaking his head.

Before they even drove inside a hospital premise, Drake couldn't feel the pain any longer, but still, for his plan, he need to proceed with it.
