He slowly got up and came towards her.
She didn't know what he was going to do.
Will he hate her?
Was he angry on her for not telling him before? What will he do?
She was scared. So she closed her eyes.
But it wasn't like what she had expected.
He didn't do anything and Instead of hitting her, he patted her head. She was confused.
He didn't do anything to her.
"Why?" she asked him.
"Why are you so good to me? I lied to you. I cheated you," she added.
"There's nothing to be worried about. Not everyone is born the same. So what if you were ugly in the beginning? Look at you now. You are cute. There's nothing weird about you," he said as he hugged her.
She was surprised by his answer.
This was the first time someone had cared for her. She didn't know what to say.
Was this really happening? Or was it a dream?
Yes it must be a dream. Or else why will someone care about her so much.
Everyone hated her.
Back in high school, the fellow classmates used to hit her and use her as they wished.
They used to always order her to do things and no boy wanted to go out with her.
But after high school, her best friend suggested her, a beauty product.
She was unsure about it at the beginning but later she finally gathered some confidence and used the product.
Fortunately the product was genuine and worked its miracle on her.

Kayden rubbed the tears on her face and said, "Don't worry. I won't do anything to you and I won't hate you. And no matter what happens I will always be here for you. And you need not put the strong act in front of me. I will always be here to share your happiness, sadness and feelings. You can always come to me when you feel sad. I will always be here for you. So cry as much as you want."
She put out the tears she had been holding back in her and cried for a while.
After sometime, she finally stopped crying. She was very tired now.
So he let her sleep in the room for the time being. He then headed out for a walk.
On his way, he met Simon who was going to the cafeteria.
"Hey, Kayden, how are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm doing good, dude. How are you?" Kayden replied.
"I'm doing good too. By the way, what are you doing here?" Simon replied as he put his hand across Kayden's shoulder.
"I'm out for a walk," Kayden replied, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm going to the cafeteria. I'm feeling hungry after taking the exams. Why don't you come with me?" he asked.
"Sure. Let's go," Kayden replied.
At the cafeteria, they were standing in the line to order food. Finally it was their turn.
"What do you want to order, sirs?"
"Two bowls of noodles, please," Simon ordered.
But he was interrupted by Kayden.
"Actually, three bowls, please. And we want to order them as parcel," he said.
They took the parcel and left from there.
"Hey dude, I didn't know that you eat so much," Simon said.
"It isn't for me. I have a guest in my room," Kayden replied.
Then they both went to Kayden's room. Simon saw Emily lying on the bed.
"What's she doing here?" he asked.
"Shh. She's tired. Don't wake her up," Kayden stopped him from speaking further.
"You must've gone hard on her," Simon doubted.
"Hey, stop jumping to conclusions. Anything didn't happen between us. Besides she is tired because she cried for a long time. You understand?" Kayden explained.
"Yeah, yeah. I totally understand. You must have done something to make her cry," Simon added.
"No man, I swear I didn't do anything. And stay quiet. She may wake up," Kayden whispered.
"Actually, I'm already awake," came a voice from behind.
The boys turned around to look at Emily who was sitting on the bed and listening to their conversation attentively.
"Ah, now that you have woken up, come and join us. I have brought noodles for you too," Kayden told her as he handed her the bowl of noodles.
They started eating and played some games as well. They had a lot of fun together.
This was the first time she had had fun with her friends.
This was the first time she had made friends too. So this is how it felt to have friends?
This feeling was really good. She was very happy.
She was glad that she was able to make such good friends who cared for her.
And she wanted to thank Kayden who gave her the confidence which she needed to make more friends in the future.
It was all thanks to him that she would be able to make friends with others.
Hence she wanted to be friends with him forever.
She wanted to stay by his side always because she felt safe with him.
She knew that no matter what happened to her in the future or what trouble she would be in, he would surely come to help her.
Why? Because they were friends.
