Then it was Monday morning. For meditation practice the class was working on the second phase towards telepathy. Ro was a natural at this and could do it easily. After practicing all weekend, Aerie was able to do it too by the end of the period. Momo however, still was unable to let herself go properly and was unsuccessful.
The bell rang signaling the end of the period and the door was opened slowly. A beautiful boy entered. The boy had silvery-white hair, grey-blue eyes, delicate features and porcelain skin. Recognizing him instantly, Angelique swooned and simpered. The boy ignored her as his eyes roved over the classroom. Ro shivered when they met hers. They looked so empty.
"Torin, may we help you?" Ky asked. Torin turned to him slowly.
"I am looking for someone. But I don't see her here." He said in a completely flat voice. "I'll go now." With that he left the room.
"Well, he is so well behaved that it's always a treat when he drops by." Ky said with a smile. "Now Earth magic." He clapped his hands and implements of magic appeared on the student's desks.
Magic period and lunch both went uneventfully. Ro, Momo, Aerie and Brawn all did well at exercises thanks to Brawn's help. Alexi had also done well but he seemed to spend a lot of time watching Ro throughout the morning. She tried her best not to be unnerved by this, but lunch was welcomed relief from him. After lunch came the second hour of meditation.
Everything was going smoothly one moment and then the next Ro was struck with the sudden urge to leave the room. She raised her hand and asked to use the restroom. Professor Arzandia gave her permission.
When she left the room however, she found herself walking in the direction of an empty unused room. Opening the door, she let herself in, and then closed the door. She walked to the window and was looking out over the beautifully manicured grounds, wondering what she was doing in here, when she heard the door open again. She turned and saw Alexi shutting the door behind him. Her mind leapt in fear, but her body shifted as if she were going to go to him. It took all of her will power to remain still. His smirk deepened.
"You're strong. Now that you know what's going on, you're fighting my control." He walked towards her gracefully like a predator. Her mind screamed at her body to run but it was taking all her strength not to move. If she did move, she knew she would end up throwing herself at him. He stopped just in front of her with his body too close to hers.
"What are you doing? I am under Ky's protection." She choked out. He raised a hand as if her were going to touch her necklace but stopped just short.
"This thing won't stop me and Ky isn't here." He lifted his hand and caressed her cheek. She still couldn't move. Ro could feel what her whole body was wanting to do. It wanted to wrap her arms around his neck and pull him close. Her mouth wanted taste him and her body wanted to feel him against her. "Submit to me." Alexi coaxed gently.
She opened her mouth to tell him to go to the Other Realm, but the words were cut off as he savagely kissed her. In her surprise, her control slipped for a moment and her body did what it wanted. Her hands fisted in his hair and her body pressed up against his. He groaned and pushed her back onto the window ledge. He spread her legs with his hands and stepped between them.
As her back bumped the window, her hazy mind remembered that it was fighting him. She laboriously forced her arms to release his hair and dropped them to her sides.
"I wasn't done." Alexi's voice came out in a rough rasp. The pressure on her mind increased and she could feel herself slipping.
In desperation, she lifted one hand and wrapped it around the necklace Ky had given her, hoping that thinking of him might summon him like Aerie said it could. Alexi bore down with his mind. His dark eyes drilled into her green ones. They sat there like that locked in a contest of wills until Ro felt something snap in her mind. Instantly, she was kissing him again.
As her mind fought desperately to regain control over her body, the door to the classroom was flung open with such force that it shook. Both Ro and Alexi looked at it. Her face was painted with relief while his betrayed annoyance.
As Ky stood there taking in what was happening, his face got darker and darker. His eyes narrowed and began to glow bright red. From where his hand touched the door the sound of cracking ice could be heard. His clothes also changed into the white robe he had worn in his mind and his hair broke free of its tie and began to float up around his head. He took a step forward and as he walked jagged ice crystal spread out from around his feet. He took another step. There was no noise but the crackling of ice. Alexi stepped back and released Ro. She jumped down from the ledge and ran to Ky. He pulled her behind him, not looking away from Alexi.
"Thank you." Ro gasped, looking up at him. Ky turned his face slightly and from the corner of his eye looked at her.
"Go back to the classroom." He ordered her in a voice of devoid of emotion. The one eye of his that she could see was so hard it looked like death. Ro blanched in fear.
"But, you can't-" She began.
"Now." He said coldly. She hesitated and then saw his eye flashed as it narrowed further. She ran.
