The blindfold was removed from my eyes. I awoke to a bright light shining on my petrified face, and long chains securing both wrists which are now red.
"Good morning Sunshine", a strange voice greeted me with a condescending tone.
"Look, this is not some movie where I ask who's there, and what have you done with my friend. Cut the crap and tell me what you want or I'll cut your tongue from the inside of your mouth, burn it, and then feed it to you", a rage emits from the inside of my angered soul.
"Feisty one, I'll give you that. But, what do I want?" The stranger asks- almost like a threat.
"I want you".
"Yeah. Not happening", I laugh hysterically trying not to go completely insane.
Just then, a flicker of light occurs behind me. It's a t.v. It's Hyun-ki! His wounded hands are tied behind his bare back, blood oozing from the lips that I kissed, and his head hanging down. A tear rolls down my cheek, but not primarily in sadness - in disbelief.
"Listen...I know you think...you want me, but if you want me, don't you want me to be happy? Just let him go. Okay?" I plead trying to fight back tears that are ripping my heart in two - seam by painful seam.
"Oh, you do love him...don't you?" the psychologically disturbed man asks with a certain fire.
"I don't just love him...I need him", my head turns away in sadness.
"Well....I love you", the man declares as he steps into the burning light.
"Codie?"
"So you haven't forgotten", Codie forces my chin upwards.
"This is really cliché", I express disappointment.
"What is?" Codie stares at my mouth.
"The fact that a guy from my past is trying to get me back, by tying up my present boyfriend, and begging me to get back with him", I explain with boredom in my tone.
"I have a feeling this is going to be easy", Codie makes a remark though I'm unsure of his meaning.
"What are you-", I start to ask, but Codie moves out of the room. I hear Hyun-ki yelling in pain, which encouraged me to face the TV.
Codie was cutting Hyun-ki's flesh deeply.
"Stop! Please!" I've never cried like this before.
"Not until you say you'll be with me again", Codie threatens before slowly slicing Hyun-ki skin again. Hyun-ki cried in severe agony, then passed out.
"Okay, okay! Just stop hurting him", I command as I imagined murdering Codie with my own two hands.
Codie enters the room, and nears me.
"I'm glad you decided-", Codie is heckled.
"The past is over, it's dead, move on! I don't like this Codie. I don't like you anymore", I spit in his face.
"You dumb...", Codie is interrupted by a sound, and turns his back on me.
"What was that?" Codie becomes distracted by the sound of Hyun-ki suddenly crying. He must've woken up.
By the time he turns back around, I've stolen the knife and key that was inside Codie's pocket. I free myself from the chains with the key.
"That was the sound of you dying", I sprint over to the opposite side of the room, and slice a rope that was attached to a ceiling light.
No was Codie's last words before he splattered throughout the room; a pool of blood.
"You deserve way worse than that you sick jerk!" I release my anger on Codie's dead body.
I have to rescue Hyun-ki!
I rush out of the door, and make a right.
What the heck? Codie's been watching me?
There were TVs showing the bathroom, bedroom, and entrance of my apartment.
This is sickening, but I don't have time for this. I have to find Hyun-ki.
I exit the room, and enter another door.
"Hyun-ki!" I release him of restraints, and hold him so tight that it's almost hard for him to breathe.
"M-M-M-Ma-Mae", Hyun-ki struggles for air.
"Sshhh. Babe don't talk, please. You've lost a lot of blood, but you're gonna be okay", I reassure Hyun-ki, attempting to keep him calm. He just nods his head.
I assist Hyun-ki in escaping - since it was hard for him to walk - and we exited the room. When we reached the entrance of the building to get out, a trap was triggered. A gun fired.
"Uugh", Hyun-ki reacts due to a feeling of a sudden pain in his head. He passes out without another word.
"Hyun-ki. Hyun-ki!" I slap his cheek to wake him up.
"Nooooo!" I scream at the top of my lungs. I move his head, and I notice a bullet lodged in the side.
He's got a bullet in his head. I've gotta get him to a hospital!
I depart from the place which now makes my skin crawl, while dragging Hyun-ki outside.
Please don't be dead. I can't lose you!
"Someone help!" I plead, regardless if anyone could hear me or not.
Fortunately, Codie was dumb enough to hold us hostage in a building that was surrounded by public venues. There was a park right across the street, and a restaurant just next to it.
"Somebody call 9-1-1!" My tears begin to blind my angered eyes.
All of a sudden, people start rushing in towards us.
"Oh my gosh! Somebody help these two", one of the strangers demanded.
"Someone call the cops", another stranger said.
That's when I fell down into an abyss of my mind.
5 hours later...
I unpleasantly wake up to a white room with an amazing view. I analyze the entire room, and identify Kallie comfortably sleeping in a chair beside me.
"Kallie", I wake her out of her slumber.
"Hmm...what?" Kallie gradually opens her eyes.
"MaeMae! You're alright", Kallie quickly stands up and embraces me.
"I'm glad to see you too, but...", a few tear droplets roll down my cheek.
"Where's Hyun-ki?" I continue; stopping the rush of tears.
"MaeMae....he's...", Kallie explains attempting to sugar coat every corner.
