"You... Want to help me?" Said Hana, somewhat surprised.
"Yes. Because we're friends." Replied Takao.
"What does that have to do with it?" Hana asked.
Takao was taken aback by this question - the young woman did not refute the fact that they were now friends - but did not hesitate to answer immediately.
"That's what friends do for each other, right?" Takao argued.
Faced with this statement, Hana could not help but smile; which delighted the young man. He preferred to see her like this, in a good mood, rather than worried and distrustful of others. She looked quite lovely with that expression, and he memorized it.
The young woman took another sip of tea, and as she put her cup back down, she gradually lost that smile that Takao liked so much.
"I already told you, but I haven't really had any friends for a long time... A very long time, even." She said awkwardly.
"Since when, exactly?" He asked.
