Narration by Ms Felicia Ada
February 14, 1887
"Happy Valentine's Day darling," I said as I climbed out of the coffin.
"Happy Valentine's Day? It's nighttime. What are you talking about?"
"Don't be silly. Today is a special day. It's a day to show love."
"Oh," said Margaret, "That's right."
"Now come on, let's go to the town. We can pick up some flowers, chocolates, and a nice meal. Maybe, we could even spend the night at the inn and have some fun."
Well, dear reader, I guess you have also heard that vampires are not supposed to be able to eat at least not in the same way humans.
Well, eating is completely optional for me, it's always something I do for pleasure since going without food does not affect me in any way.
Margaret and myself headed down the road to the town.
After a while, we made it to the town and began to walk around.
"Where shall we start?" Asked Margaret.
"I think we should go to the flower shop first. Then, we can get some chocolates and go to the inn."
"Alright," said Margaret, "Let's go."
We walked to the flower shop.
There were many beautiful flowers there.
"What kind of flowers do you want?" Asked Margaret.
"I don't know," I said, "What are your favorite flowers?"
"Roses," said Margaret.
"Alright," I said, "let's buy some roses."
We bought a bouquet of roses.
They were very beautiful.
We also bought a box of chocolates.
Then, we walked to the inn.
"Hello," said the woman at the desk, "Can I help you?"
"Yes," said Margaret, "My sister and I would like a room for the night."
"Of course," said the woman, "Here is the key. Your room is number six. You can check in anytime you want, just come back and let us know."
"Thank you," said Margaret.
We walked to the room and opened the door.
The room was nice.
It had a bed, a table, and a bathroom.
"Wow," said Margaret, "This is nice."
"Yes," I said, "It is."
"There is a nice place to bathe. How about we take a bath together?"
"Alright," said Margaret, "Go ahead."
We both took off our clothes and got in the bath.
The water was nice and warm.
Margaret and I sat next to each other in the bath.
We both were enjoying ourselves.
Then, Margaret began to kiss me.
Her lips were soft and gentle.
I could feel the warmth of her breath on my skin.
I kissed her back.
Our tongues explored each other's mouths.
Then, we stopped kissing and looked at each other.
"I love you," said Margaret.
"I love you too," I said.
"Now," said Margaret, "Let's go have some dinner."
"Okay," I said, "but first we have to get dressed."
We both got out of the bath and dried off.
Then, we put on our clothes.
"Ready?" Asked Margaret.
"Ready," I said.
We walked down the stairs and went to the dining room.
"Hello," said the woman, "Can I help you?"
"Yes," said Margaret, "We would like some dinner."
"Of course," said the woman, "Come sit down and I will get your food."
We sat down at the table.
The woman brought us our food.
"Here you go," she said, "enjoy."
We ate our food.
It was very good.
"There is a tavern nearby that serves a wonderful drink," said Margaret, "How about we go there after dinner?"
"Okay," I said, "Let's go. I'll be we can a victim there too."
After we finished our dinner, we went to the tavern.
"Hello," said the bartender, "Can I get you two something to drink?"
"Yes," said Margaret, "Two drinks of your best."
"Of course," said the bartender, "Coming right up."
He gave us two glasses of alcohol.
"Thank you," said Margaret.
We both drank our drinks.
The liquor burned my throat, but it was good.
"Now," said Margaret, "Let's get another one and go dancing."
"Alright," I said, "let's go."
We got another drink and went dancing.
The music was loud and the people were having fun.
We danced for a while.
Everyone was watching us and cheering.
We had so much fun.
When the music stopped, we both sat down at the bar.
"That was fun," said Margaret.
"Yes," I said, "it was. Do you want to get some more drinks?"
"Sure," said Margaret.
The bartender poured us another round of drinks.
"You two ladies sure know how to dance," he said.
"Thank you," said Margaret.
We both drank our drinks.
"Another," I said.
"Alright," said the bartender.
He poured us another round of drinks.
This time, they were stronger.
"Whoa," said Margaret, "This is strong."
"Yes," I said, "It is. Are you okay?"
"Yes," said Margaret, "I'm fine. Just a little dizzy."
"Well," I said, "We can always go upstairs and sleep."
"Okay," said Margaret.
As we finished our drinks, a drunk stranger placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey baby," he slurred, "Why don't you and your sister come over and have a good time?"
"Please no, go away," I said.
"Come on," he said, "just a little fun."
"No," I said, "We are not interested."
"Well, I am," he said.
"Look buddy," said Margaret, "We are not interested. Now please, it's time for us to go."
"You heard her," I said.
"What the fuck are you going to do about it?"
"Look," said Margaret, "We are going back to our room. We've had enough to drink."
"Bullshit," he said.
The guy grabbed me by the arm.
"Hey," I yelled, "Get your hands off of me!"
"Shut up," he said.
He grabbed Margaret by the hair and yanked her head back.
"What the hell?!" She shouted.
"Let's go," he said.
Margaret pushed him away with incredible strength, knocking the drunkard to the floor.
"Come on Felicia, we're leaving," she snarled.
I was still angry at the drunkard, and my eyes glowed.
We left the bar and started to walk back to the inn.
The drunk was following us.
"Hey," he yelled, "where are you two going?"
Margaret stopped and turned around.
"Just leave us alone," she growled.
"What the fuck are you going to do about it?"
Margaret's eyes turned red, and her canine teeth grew long.
"Holy shit," said the man.
Margaret leapt forward and sunk her teeth into his neck.
"Help," the man screamed, "She's a vampire!"
"Shut up," said Margaret.
She ripped open the man's throat and drank his blood.
I looked at the drunk's corpse.
He was dead.
"That's enough," I said, "We don't need anymore attention. Come on, let's get back to the inn."
"Alright," said Margaret, "But, he deserved what he got. Let's go."
We walked back to the inn and went upstairs.
"Do you think anyone will notice the body?"
"Yeah, we can't hide a corpse. Someone will find it soon. We should leave now."
"Good idea," I said.
We both quickly got dressed and packed our bags.
"Let's go," said Margaret.
We rolled the cart with the coffin to the edge of the town.
"Thanks for a nice night baby. It's too bad that asshole tried to ruin it."
"It's okay," I said, "I had a good time. Next time, we can do something more private."
"That sounds great," said Margaret, "But I did love those drinks."
"Me too," I said, "Maybe we can get some our own drinks. We could always steal some booze."
"That sounds great," said Margaret.
"But in the meantime, where are we going to sleep?"
"We could always go camping," said Margaret, "I can hide the coffin under some leaves and dirt. That way no one will find us."
"Sounds good," I said, "Let's go."
We walked away from the town and went into the woods.
It was dark and spooky.
"This is the perfect place," said Margaret.
"Yes," I said, "Now, let's get some sleep. I'm tired."
"Okay," said Margaret, "Here, you take the coffin. I'll sleep on the ground."
"Okay," I said, "Thanks."
I climbed into the coffin and laid down.
"You know, I had a great time tonight."
"Me too," said Margaret, "It was nice to have some fun."
"Yeah," I said, "Now, let's go to sleep."
"Alright," said Margaret, "Goodnight."
Margaret gave me a little kiss.
"Goodnight," I said.
I closed the lid of the coffin and locked it.
Then, I went to sleep with Margaret's arms around me.
It was a very pleasant sleep.
