Chapter 18 - Legally divorced

Maids cooked dinner that night and yet both George and Mia didn't come down to eat. They two stayed in their own room all night, refused to eat dinner. Maki was stressed over the situation of George and Mia.

Meanwhile Mia was eating her stress out in her room. She ate snacks and desserts which were bought by her friend, Bailey Joy. 'Thank goodness, Bailey bought me some desserts or else I might have to see that asshole George Seith at dining table!'

She cursed at him all night.

George couldn't sleep that night, the words he said to his wife were not true. Those words were meaningless. He said those meaningless words because he didn't want to show weak emotions.

They could become weaknesses for him. What if people laughed at him for bowing to love? Love was a weakness for him. He was afraid of falling in love. He could not accept the fact that he fell for Mia Grace.

Like that the night passed.

Next morning, Mia woke up little late due to busy cursing at George Seith last night. She wanted to punch the male lead just for once before she leave. She didn't like the male lead at all.

Mia did her morning routine as Maki's granddaughter made her (Mia's) bed. She went to the dining room for breakfast. She didn't care even if she had to meet her husband. Her stomach was more important for her.

As she arrived, the man at the table got up from the seat. Seemed like he just finished the breakfast. There was a tightened frown on his face. 'Already frowning in the early morning' Mia rolled her eyes as she walked to the seat, not even sparing a glance at her husband.

George didn't notice Mia at first. He was busy thinking about something. He turned around to leave as his eyes met the young woman walking to the table without paying attention to him. She completely ignored him. Her behavior made his frown tightened.

He didn't say anything and left.

Maids didn't know what happened between the couple, but noticed that the problem was not a small deal. Mia sat down at the seat, forgot to greet people because of George Seith's frown. She wondered why there was always a frown on his face.

"Good morning, Miss Mia"

Maki greeted Mia first, wanted to see if Mia was ok or not since she didn't greet them like usual. Because of the sudden greeting, Mia turned around to look at Maki. Then she replied with a small smile since her mouth was full.

Maki and others sighed in relief to see Mia being fine. They thought they made Mia angry or something. They stood at their place until their Miss finished eating breakfast.

When Mia finished her breakfast, she went back to her room to pack her things. She was so happy that day. She had been waiting to arrive that day. Starting from that day afternoon, she was going to become a single woman.

"Can you help me packing my things?"

She asked Maki's granddaughter who was cleaning her (Mia) room, for help as Maki's granddaughter helped willingly. "Yes,ofc." Maki's granddaughter helped packing the clothes. "Miss, you are going to take me and grandma with you, right?"

Maki's granddaughter started the conversation. Mia looked at the girl, she nodded at the girl with a smile. "Yes. I need you two in my life. I mean everyone in this villa is fun but I can't take them with me. So yea I can only take you and Maki" she explained as put the things in luggage.

Maki's granddaughter grinned.

"Please give me those luggages, I will go put them in the car" Maki's granddaughter spoke as she stood up from sitting on the floor. Mia gave the luggages without complaining. As the girl walked out from the room, Mia sighed loudly.

"Finally, I can stay peacefully without interacting with those three main characters or gays" she proudly said with a smile, not seeing the future. "*knock knock*" the door opened as Mia looked at the girl. "Miss, do you want me to prepare bath?"

Mia nodded.

She took a bath for half an hour, the happiness was flowing in her body. A big smile hadn't disappear. Mia changed into beige top and white high waisted pants.

Maki's granddaughter styled Mia's hair into high ponytail with a few strands out. She put some light makeup on Mia's face to match the outfit. When Mia finished preparing, she checked everything in her room.

She didn't want to leave anything behind, she didn't want to let George Seith remember anything about her. "Good, now let's go" she walked out of the villa confidently after saying goodbye to everyone in the villa.

"See you at home tonight"

Mia smiled at Maki and Maki's granddaughter. They two didn't follow Mia together since Mia wasn't going to home. They two nodded and grinned at Mia as the car drove off from the villa. 'I am coming, freedom!'

The car stopped in front of a building where people walked in and out busily. Mia went out from the car as she put on the sunglasses with a blank face. Her bodyguard who was sent from her parents followed her into the building.

That bodyguard was the only one who Mia couldn't talk nor being friendly. He was like a real statue, never smiled nor laughed. Whenever Mia told a joke, he would stare at her blankly. Mia never spoke unnecessary things with him ever again starting from that time.

A woman quickly ran to her and greeted.

"Are you Miss Mia Grace?"

Mia nodded with a smile. "Then please follow me" the woman leaded the way to a room. When they arrived to the room, the woman knocked the door and asked for permission to go in. As the woman got the permission, she opened the door.

There was an old man sitting at the table with two files in front of him. Mia sat down in front of the old man as her bodyguard stood behind her like a statue. "Mister George Seith is still not here yet" the woman spoke.

Mia rolled her eyes in her mind while a smile was on her face. She nodded at the woman. They waited for twenty minutes straight for George Seith to arrive. Mia was impatient the whole time.

"Sorry for being late"

George apologized to everyone in the room while he glanced at the young woman beside him. He sat down beside her and nodded at an old man to start the things. "Alright so here are the papers to sign"

The old man placed the two files in front of young woman and young man. Mia quickly grabbed the pen and signed. George was hesitating for a moment. He made sure not to regret his decision.

They two signed the papers.

"Ok so you two are legally divorced now. Miss Mia Grace has no right to take nor spend Mister George Seith's money. And Mister George Seith can't too." the old man confirmed. Mia only listened to him with cold face.

She wanted to stand up and leave quickly. "You two can leave now" George and Mia thanked the old man as they two went out from the room with the help of a woman. Mia went into the car without greeting her ex-husband.

She rested her head on car headboard.

"Miss Mia, are you going to your parents home now?" the bodyguard of Mia asked. "No, dad will come pick me up. Let's wait him at the nearest cafe" Mia spoke as her eyes closed. "Yes, Miss" then the car drove off to the nearest cafe.

Theo, Mia Grace's father promised her to come pick her up with her mother, Camilla when she finished divorcing George Seith. She had to wait for her parents. Mia could not wait anymore to meet her parents.

'I am single now!' she shouted in her mind.

Meanwhile George Seith didn't say anything about his ex-wife's behavior, he walked to his car with a tightened frown. His face was clearly showing anger. He wanted Mia Grace to say something at least. But now she completely treated him like an air.

She didn't even spare a glance at him, she looked so happy to divorce him. It was as if she finally met freedom in her life. He didn't like that. He wanted her to at least show some tears or sad face. Her happy face broke him.

'Mia Grace....'
