"You... You are dating Roman Silas?"
"Yes" Bailey answered with a grin. She looked at Mia who was locking her ocean blue eyes with Dean Silas. Bailey frowned, she looked at her boyfriend to ask what was going on. But she met her boyfriend smirking at his brother only.
She slowly and slowly started to understand why her boyfriend told her not to tell Mia's name until she came. "Ahem Ahem, so let's order some food" Bailey interrupted the two who were staring at each other as if they only existed.
Mia snapped back from her thoughts and turned her head to Bailey in embarrassment. She couldn't believe that she just stared at Dean Silas shamelessly. 'What the hell is wrong with this novel? I just want a peaceful life. Why do I have to meet Dean Silas?!'
Mia screamed in her head but there was only a small smile on her face, not showing she was freaking out actually. "I am glad to see you again. My brother and you have met each other, right?" Roman started the conversation after they ordered the food.
He asked even though he already knew that there was nothing between Mia and Dean. Bailey was trying to understand what her boyfriend meant. Dean turned his head to his brother and signaled his brother to shut up. "Yes, I have met your brother" Mia spoke the truth.
It would be an obvious lie if she denied his words. Roman's lips curved up into a smirk, he thought for what to say next. "I still remember that night when you hugged Dean. I thought you two were secretly dating" Bailey furrowed her brows in confusion.
"What are you talking about?"
Bailey asked as she waited for the explanation from her friend. But Roman answered her instead. "Oh, you don't know? I think it was like three or two weeks ago. I don't remember which party. That night I called Dean to come to party.
But I saw him hugging Miss Mia Grace instead. And you were crying in Dean's arms as if you met him after a long time, right Miss Mia Grace?" There was a smirk on Roman's face. Bailey blinked twice before she started to freak out.
"What the heck! You never told about me that! So you two are dating actually?!! Why didn't you tell me?!! Do you even acknowledge me as a friend?!! At least you should have show me hints!" Bailey shouted while people murmured at the four. Dean's face was reddened like cherry.
Mia smiled at her friend with burning glare. "Can you please lower your voice? You are causing misunderstandings to people. We are not dating! And also we have only met that one time at that party. It was an accident. I hugged him because I lost control of myself"
Mia explained patiently as Dean listened to her carefully. Meanwhile Roman and Bailey misunderstood her words and freaked out. They thought Mia's words were meant in another way, they thought she was a pervert who couldn't control herself in front of the boys.
"You lost your control?!"
The couple shouted at the same time.
Dean's face was completely covered in red. "No!! I mean he reminded me of someone who is very important to me" Mia answered as she gritted her teeth in embarrassment. Dean was speechless. After Mia told that he reminded her of someone who was important, his face reddened.
The sight of Dean blushing, confused Mia. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to cause scandals. It is just because you just look like him. I apologize.." Mia lowered her head while she tightened her grip on her leather short skirt. She was afraid if Dean might get angry.
"N-no, it is fine. Those scandals can't bother me. It was my fault too. I shouldn't have hug you tightly that night. I am sorry" Dean apologized as his face was reddened like a strawberry. Roman was laughing at his brother in his mind while Bailey was scanning the whole situation.
"If you feel bad for what happened then shouldn't you at least buy him a meal" Roman made a way for his brother. "Your brother clearly said it is ok. Why are you pushing them?" Bailey frowned at her boyfriend. Ofc, she could see what her boyfriend was referring.
"But she should"
Roman didn't give up. "What do you mean with that? It was not her fault. It is your brother's fault for looking like the man who is important to Mia!" Bailey raised her voice. Dean was thinking about who was the one that was important. He had never heard of love story of Mia Grace.
Did she perhaps have a lover in the past? But her family covered it? Or maybe they two broke up? Or he died? Thoughts were running in his head nonstop. Mia sighed loudly. She was tired of listening to the couple bickering. "Why are you so sensitive about your friend?"
"She is my one and only friend! I can see you being a matchmaker! Don't do that. We both know that Dean Silas is currently not interest in relationships also my friend just divorced an asshole. She need to rest. Your brother looks like he is not interested in my friend too. So stop!"
Bailey exploded.
Mia and Dean eyes widened as Roman lost words to say. He quickly stood up from the seat walked towards Bailey who was breathing furiously. Mia stood up from her seat and gave it to Roman Silas. She was an understanding friend, how could she stay like a stone. She sat down beside Dean Silas.
Roman sat down beside Bailey and patted her shoulder. "I am sorry baby. I didn't mean to. It was just because I want my brother to at least find happiness. And your friend is single and perfect for my brother, that's why. Please don't mad at me. I hate it when you're mad at me. Please.." he whined as he kissed Bailey's cheek.
Dean turned his head to the left side because of cheesy couple but at the same time Mia also turned her head to the right side. Their eyes met once again. The redness started to cover Dean's face as Mia was lost in his hazel eyes. They two couldn't even hear nor look at the couple in front of them.
'Wow, he looks exactly like Henry'
Without realizing, Mia's hand moved to Dean's cheek so fast. She stroked his cheek softly while gazing into his eyes deeply. She still remembered when Henry used to caress her cheek or ruffle her hair. She missed those. She wanted to feel that once again.
When Mia was lost in her thoughts while stroking his cheek, Dean was stunned. He stared back into Mia's ocean blue eyes. She just suddenly grabbed his cheek and started stroking. He didn't even have a chance to dodge. But surprisedly, he felt comfortable.
He liked her touch. Her soft skin on his cheek made him calm down. It was as if her finger was a stream which could make people calm. Dean wanted to know what thoughts Mia was thinking. He had never seen a woman who could make him calm just with a touch.
Normally he would start to get uncomfortable just by looking at the lustful gazes of women. He gazed back at Mia gently. Roman was relieved when Bailey finally forgave him. He kissed her cheek for one more time as Bailey smiled shyly.
They two turned their attention to the two who were gazing at each other. Bailey eyes widened as Roman smiled in satisfaction. "Mia, what are you doing?" Bailey's question brought Mia back from her deep thoughts. She snapped back as looked at her hand which was on Dean Silas's cheek.
Her eyes widened and quickly took back. 'Shit Shit Shit! I thought he was Henry for a second!! I am dead. My life is done. I hate my hands! How could it move by itself?!' she screamed in her mind. There was a redness on her cheeks and ears. "I- I need to go to restroom. Please excuse me"
She left the table.
Dean was left alone in daze. He hadn't recover from the shock yet. Roman fake coughed as a smirk appeared on his face. Bailey was speechless. She had never seen her friend touching a man gently like that before. She had seen her friend being clingy to George once but now was different.
Mia was stroking Dean Silas's cheek gently as if she was afraid if she might hurt him. Bailey frowned. "You, there is something between you two, right? Tell me the truth or I will choke you and make your funeral right here" Bailey threatened Dean Silas.
On the other side, Mia was freaking out in the restroom. She looked at her reflection as if she was a fool who was looking for love which did not exist. "Omg, I want to dig a hole and bury myself! How could I do that?!" Mia shouted while lowering her head, shutting her eyes tightly.
There was no one in the restroom.
'I hate myself. I freaking hate myself. My eyes be tripping!! I really thought he was Henry and touched him. Arrrr!! My eyes!! They are tripping!! He is Dean Silas, not Henry. But... what if he is and doesn't remember the past life?' Mia shook her head hardly.
No, she should stop herself before wild n out. Even though he looked exactly like Henry, she shouldn't treat Dean like Henry. They two were not the same. That's right, she nodded and agreed to her thought. "Good now what do we do?" She asked herself while pressing her lips tightly in annoyance.
She bit her lips hardly that blood could even come out. "How do I face with him?" Mia felt like she wanted to die in embarrassment. She would like to vanish into thin air quickly. Mia just stared at her reflection for minutes. She regretted her decisions.
"I don't know how to face him anymore"
Mia whined as she sighed to herself. 'Troubles, troubles.. you love me so much huh? You always come to me' she cursed at problems that kept popping up in front of her. She took a deep breath as her eyes still tightly closed. "Let's face it, Mia. Even though it will be so embarrassing"
She walked out from the restroom but met her friend at the entrance of restroom. Bailey was standing there. It looked like she heard everything Mia said. Bailey turned her head to the side since she felt the appearance of a person. "Mia!" She ran towards her friend. "So that was an accident too?"
Mia smiled awkwardly while she nodded at her friend. Bailey sighed. "Well, that Dean Silas told me that there is nothing between you two even though I threatened him if he dare to lie. Seems like there is really nothing between you two" she spoke with a sigh.
Mia nodded and smiled. "But you have something with him. I can feel it from my bones. There is something that even Dean Silas doesn't know right? You know you can tell me. Don't bottle up your feelings. If you like him, I won't complain. I will support you" Bailey smiled at her friend.
Mia frowned.
'Oh gosh, what an expected misunderstanding' Mia sighed to herself. "No, I don't like him. I told you that he looks like someone who is important to me" Mia said the truth. Bailey furrowed her brows. "Who is him? That important person, is he perhaps someone who you liked in highschool or something?"
Bailey questioned. She was worried for her friend. She didn't want her dearest friend to bottle up her feelings. She was ready to listen to Mia's frights, worries and happinesses. She wanted her friend to share those emotions with her. She wanted to help her friend at least.
Mia closed her eyes, wished to vanish.
