Chapter 14 - The eve of Blood.

Won sat upon a bed in his mansion slowly staring into the night, looking back to the large bed the size of a entire room upon which 100 exhausted women laid. Won couldn't help but sigh in pride as he looked upon that sight.

He mumbled, "The royalty and the rebels have been frequently combating, but at this point it's still mere provocation. It seems the king isn't as mindless as people described him to be. He's bidding his time, he knows the interest in the rebellion will crumble with time, whereas the security and power of the Royals will only ferment. How can I force a great battle?"

Won's eyes suddenly flashed up as he made his way to the door of the house.

He was greeted by the bloody mess of the knight who he had given a diamond to.

The knight carried a cart with jewels and gold with him, as well as the head of a man.

The knight said, "It's done. I killed him. My family is safe now."

Won nodded, "Of course. Did you kill this fellows allies, or family?"

The knight didn't know how to respond.

Won sighed, "You kill for family is it improbable that that fellows family also kills for family? The human heart is such a selfish thing, always thinking it's others fault or that others own all the responsibility. They never look to themselves when tragedy and horror strike. Of course there are some monsters who just don't care. Furthermore if you are prepared to do something like killing, don't be some pathetically good hearted or good natured fellow and leave roots hanging. If you're going to be trash admit it, don't try to pretend with fancy words."

The knight threw his sword down, "Enough I don't carry anymore! I can't, I won't kill!"

Won said, "Hm. Alright do as you wish. Yet don't think what your doing is some great sin. People are like that, even mortals humans are sick to the core. They incessantly bother those with any relation to something wild and scandalous. Do you know how many families, how many children, wives or husband's are abused and berated for the mistakes of one rotten and horrible person by society? Human's are bloody sickening, work on trying to get rid of this plain and simple morality you have."

The knight slowly walked off, dragging his feet.

Won leaned on the door frame.

Sighing, "I felt bad for implicating the fellow and that's why I tried to manipulate him. Looks like I did something unnecessary."

Won turned back fading into the darkness.

...

The place Won was actually called the Gracia Kingdom.

It was one of the 100 Kingdoms that made up the last Human Settlement, the last Human Empire.

Built in a sick formation of sacrifice and with each Kingdom having a spirit stone mine ready to explode at any moment, any form of foreign invasion was impossible.

Truly the way of Humans was twisted even to a manic and crazed human exterminator like Won.

Won had quietly escaped the radius of the city making a cave in a long and narrow mountain range, resembling a long and coiling dragon his abode.

Won had brought his 100 women as he went to each city in the way, each time making a big scene and causing the tensions between the forces to escalate.

Won was currently sitting in front of a wall, his hand placed on the wall.

Slowly Won's brows joined, as he breathed out lightly.

Pressure built in Won's bones, and gathered in the center of his palm.

[Wrathful Buddha's palm]

[Blood bursting Palm]

Won focused as the force and energy in his palms began to move violently, wishing to spread evenly.

Won steadied his breath as he forced the energies to remain stably in the center of his palm.

Opening his eyes wide, Won backed off quickly, tightening his hand into a fist and punching out.

An explosion of energy pushed against Won throwing his to the ground. His hand had cut and bruises, looking disgusting as bone and flesh peeked out.

Won sighed, "Another failure."

Won had been trying to force the energy of his palm attacks into a single condensed part. The attack would be the same power, but the penetrative ability would be nearly completely lost.

Furthermore the palm attack was currently an attack where he had to make contact with the opponent, and Won really disliked getting to close to an enemy especially if he was bare handed.

Won remembered in a book he read, the protagonist learnt under a Buddhist temple and eventually just like Buddha no enemy could escape his palm. Even as the golden palm travelled across seas and stars, it never faded like a looming shadow.

Won sighed.

Innovation was really hard.

Won laid as his body naturally quickly healed.

"What is my ideal weapon? I'd like something with like a spear, with piercing and distance. But I don't like how if a person gets too close a spear becomes basically useless. Daggers? No they're basically the same bare handed, I have to get real close to attack and even sacrifice my hands if necessary. Also something that could act as a shield against arrows. Hm. How about this design?"

Won drew in the ground.

It was a dual sided sword, with a large thick saber blade on each side. The two connected by a thin hilt. In Won's eyes when needed the dual sided swords with their long reach could easily slay, or they could be separated into two short sabers when needing to get close. It could even be used when turning it as a semi shield.

Won looked at the monstrosity he had made with no clue what to do.

He had even made another version where one blade was smaller and the other bigger, but quickly tossed the idea away considering the balance the weapon had would be lost and the weapon would be useless.

Yet Won spent the remainder of the night, no longer practicing martial arts, but rather customizing the weapon in his mind.

Finally he looked at the finished product in his head.

A two thick and short blades connected by a lomgy gold handle, which could morph and turn into two blades connected by a chain.

(Author note: Imagine The Blades of Chaos and Thanos's dual blade)

Won sighed as he looked at his creation, a deep respect rising from his cut, he couldn't help chuckle in joy.

It looked quite fresh and cool. Won pulled his hair back, leaning on his right hand and said, "Ai. I'm too bloody charming. I'm a bloody badass."

Won looked distantly, "Could the plan have already started? King Gracia let's see your move. You've been trying to beat me? How audacious, if I who was surrounded by rogues and crooks for three years can't beat you, I'll raise my hands in defeat."

...

The King of Gracia was a middle aged man with long flowing golden hair, sharp eyebrows and a grand aura. His handsome face was drawn into a deep frown.

Recently his son had been murderered, and worse yet the rebels had gained a massive amount of support. Over time the people's heart's would falter and the rebellion would dissapear, yet now the Nobility were also attacking the throne.

Recently the various Nobles seemed to have come up with some great understanding, and instead of protecting the throne they are trying to attack it.

Although he had greatly sanctioned the Nobility to gain the publics support, the King made sure to keep the Nobility in good spirits. Yet now everything around him was crumbling.

It was as if some mysterious force was forcing him off a bridge.

The king rubbed his neck and wondered, "Recently I've been feeling more and more pressure. With the way things are going I'll surely be beheaded. The question is will my son's be kept alive? The Nobility wouldn't act for just any reason. Either they are trying to control my children or someone has encouraged them to take the throne themselves."

The king honestly didn't care anymore whether he would live or die. His glorious rule was finished, and he had no one. His favorite concubine had died, his favorite son had died. The rest were a bunch of white eyed wolves waiting to take a bite out of the king. Furthermore the admiration of his people he had worked to gain would never again be his, even if he managed to destroy the rebels, it would take numerous generations to have thw the same relationship with the people.

Soon the King's sadness over his horrid fate, turned into rage and that into hate. He hated his stupid son. He hated the nobles, the rebels, these stupid commoners who should have stayed in their place.

A red light flashed in his eyes as he stood up and retreated away.

He was making preparations for a bloody war.
