Won conquered the throne, he killed the Emperor and his family. He made great changes to the Empire and made all the kingdoms kneel to him.
He revealed that disease recently running amok was actually one specifically designed to harm the barbarians. He issued an Royal decree and all the corpses underwent an autopsy and the doctors of the Empire uniformly confirmed that every person who died by the disease was either a half human half beast born, or was a beast who had cultivated enough to transform into a human.
Outrage, confusion and rage polluted the skies.
Husband's, wives, children, and even brothers and sisters looked at each other in shock, disgust and fear.
It was natural and if not for Won's timely response the Human Empire would likely have gone up in flames.
Yet Won didn't allow such a thing to happen.
Instead he channeled the Wrath of Humans into making one last push towards the Beasts.
The Beasts who had never expected anything of the sort from the greedy, but fearful Humans were shocked.
Even though they had great innate strength in comparison to the Humans, by Human tactics and methods alongside a pulsating wrath. The Beasts faced a catastrophe worse than it had ever before.
Sadly the curse was too weak to work on the pure blood Beasts and the strong ones, with only the half breeds and those of weak bloodlines falling. Coincidentally it was only those with weak bloodlines who could transform into humans, it was much more difficult the stronger the bloodline. Furthermore to prevent anyone noticing the spies, the beasts naturally sent weak and unnoticeable people inside humanity.
The Demonic faction had away right after the Empire was conquered, it seemed they had been preparing for such things from the beginning.
Yet Won had prepared adequately and those demonic practitioners wouldn't survive for long.
First after slaughtering the strong Beasts and their clans, and enslaving the weaker ones for manual labor, Won began to gather shamans and other spiritual occupations such as Priests, Witches and the such to produce a Curse over the land such that only the Human Empire could gain Qi from Heaven and Earth. This meant that likely in a few generations let alone the Demonic Cultivators, even the great beings of Clans far greater than Humanity would eventually perish...
Why could other clans not do this? Humanity was always considered special. Won had learnt this not just from reading countless books in the trial, and also from researching from his own theories as well as legends spread in his own world. Won didn't know about other Universe's although, for example the Bloodiest Devil, he was a Devil so for his Universe the most blessed race must be the Devils. Yet in Won's Humans were special. They didn't have innate potential and talent greater than some clans, they were especially special neither filled with saints nor villains, just a loose border between ordinary and scum. No Human was good. Won speculated one reason being the current Heaven's Will was likely Human, but even then it didn't make sense. To become Heavens Will not only is talent needed, the Universe literally must favor you. Human's were inheritly blessed, otherwise to compare them to Dragons and other Primordial beings was far too far fetched.
Then Won thought about things like Buddhism, Ruism, Taoism, Shamanism and other Spiritual realms and thoughts. Eventually Won came to a conclusion. Humans although not talented and didn't have much potential, they had countless abilities. Human's were an intelligent race, no it would be more correct to say an awakened race. While everyone saw the world through two literal eyes, Humans saw the world through innumerable doubtful and rebellious Spiritual eyes.
A famous quote was Cultivating is an action inheritly against the Heavens. Yet for other races Tribulations are a more of a way to weed out the weak and bless the talented by tempering their bodies or whatever else, even Ghosts who are most fearful of lighting use tribulation lighting as a way to advance forth. Yet Humans get countless Tribulations, all harmful and malice filled. Heart demon tribulation, The seven sufferings. These are tests that Humanity alone faces.
Won realized Humanity wasn't Cultivating... He didn't know what Humanity was doing, but it was Completely different compared to other races.
Won frankly didn't care. He might not be a Human anymore, but that didn't mean that ability to delve into the secrets of this world were foreign to him.
Won now simply had to wait.
The world outside would eventually rot and they'd either have to come to the Empire or die.
It's not like in small worlds without Cultivation and the such.
Qi is in everything, from humans to trees to even stone.
Trees breathed in Qi, and they breathed out Qi. What gives must take, and what takes must give. Heaven and Earth constantly supplied this process.
Yet if Heaven and Earth were stripped although the Qi would still dissipate into the air, it become so thin and weak that to even sustain the world around it more than 90% of the Qi in the world outside would be taken. Meaning the humans and other clans will slowly die out.
Won closed his eyes thinking of what to do. His bedroom letting in warm and cozy orange light.
He looked at glowing golden panel in front of him.
He had nothing better to do.
{River of the Way.}
Won also realized the Way was one's path, one's own Tao.
What was the Tao Won had no idea.
It was a loose concept even among Immortal sects, some compared it to the Heavens itself. Some say it is actually the True God of creation. Some say the Tao dosen't even exist.
Countless theories exist.
The righteous Immortal sects say the Tao is an inviolable and almost holy like force, but the Demonic Immortal sects similarly touch upon the Tao. So no one really knows.
Won had nothing else to do and decided to press it.
[{River of the Way} is being activated. The first time will be free, from now on for repeated uses system points and/or Spiritual objects are needed.]
Won's eyes turned dark and it seemed his soul was stolen.
In the black void, an Azure flame sprouted. It was the flames of creation.
A young man with long black hair with white tips, and with small white dots extending from the tips like snow falling. His eyes were dotted like stars and his face was incomparable. It was beyond Beautiful, it was beyond all of conception and thought. He was the most beautiful existence to ever exist, carrying a devilish look and a deep manliness he could make even things that couldn't love, love him.
The young man was sitting in lotus position in front of Won and began to talk.
"The Tao is infinite, the ways are endless. Whether you are holy or demonic, neither matters. Every path is correct and every path is false. Never follow a set doctrine, there is no singular road. The Tao is not a special thing, it is one's journey, one's dream, one's desire. Simply grasp who you are and the Tao shall be open to you. The Tao is neither Heaven nor Earth. The Tao is Existence, the beginning and the end of itself. Everything fades, nothing remains. Only ones way is forever. One's heart lives even in death if one is the Way."
Won stared wide eyed at this person, even wise words that any being would kneel and grovel towards, even willingly sacrificing their family was ignored by Won.
The Azure colored figure coughed twice and seeing Won's unclear eyes.
The Azure colored figure slapped Won across the face.
Won shook his head in pain and looked at this figure.
The Azure colored figure asked, "Ai, my dear disciple are you alright? You must have lost yourself in my explanation. Ai, I really must control my tongue."
His voice like the sweetest melody, something that could startle and capture the heart.
Won asked, "Who are you beautiful fairy?"
The blue colored man said, "Hey who are you calling a Fairy! Ai, what can I expect from my little disciple when even my fellow creators send me love letters. Whatever listen. There is a limit my Fragment of self can do without destroying your soul and body, actually in a little while let alone your body this and over 2 trillion worlds near your one will turn to dust due to my existence. So listen carefully. Those words I said before repeat them as a mantra, they will allow great results if you work hard. I expect alot from my disciple. Ask me one more question before I go."
Won thought it over and asked, "Master tell me about the Tao itself, not it's meaning but characteristics."
Ryuk tilted his head left and right.
He said, "There's a lot you can't understand, you shouldn't understand. Especially you with your narrow head you'd probably go berserk. Well I suppose I can give you a vague answer. What do you think our state of existence, what you feel around you is it real?"
Won nodded.
Ryuk asked, "Then characters in books don't they also feel what is around them is real."
Won nodded and took in a deep breath.
Ryuk waved his hand, "Don't think too much. Even if we were simply character's in a book that dosen't mean our emotions and thoughts are fake. Just know that everything has a purpose and will. Think about it like this. From the very foundation there are beings that have select functions. Spirits are involved in managing the world, Gods the rules of mortals, spirits and Immortald. Karma and Heavens Will are judges. Saints are free beings who scour the Universe as they wish, but even they have the purpose to act as a shining light to all existence. Origin beasts are meant to be teachers. Creators are like the name states, they create Universes. But that is the name the common people have given us, we are really called Universe Gods. We are meant to create our own Tao and sever ourselves from Fate, time and all other things. Our Existence has one great enemy, who is on the same strength as the Infinite Tao. The Woman with threads. Fate, Destiny, love, she commands it all. She's extremely powerful such that even I, who can fight all the Creators alone without sustaining a single injury or getting even a little tired can easily be defeated by her. It takes all my effort, putting my life at risk to fight her. In fact my real self in Currently in battle with her. It's been like that for for countless years, something like 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years or something like that. She's bloody scary. Even now she nearly killed me, her fist literally went through my chest."
Won stuttered, "Are you okay?"
Ryuk waved his hand, "Of course. Don't worry about it. Me and this crazy lady have been fighting for who knows how many year's, actually to you it wouldn't have even been an hour and more than a billion years would pass. I'm in some special space you see, I didn't want my wives to feel too lonely so I did this. Ai, but you are quite lucky. In my Universe everything is about questions and answers, yours is just comprehending the way and absorbing Qi. Understanding Truth and such things, ai such a troublesome time."
Ryuk then began to flicker in and out, "Well I have to go now. This crazy lady started throwing immature universe's at me, there's even a full grown universe with a universal child rushing at me. Ai, poor fellow it took so long to form from the Chaos and even develop a conciousness and now some crazy lady is throwing him into me. Well bye little Won."
Ryuk turned into sparks and dissapeared, but Won still didn't escape from this void.
Suddenly Ryuk popped back in a blue glow and said, "Right. My villain of a son is running away from home to experience the world. He heard my Desire system finally found a host and will probably meet you on his way. He's a bit of a troublemaker and I'll have to ask you my Disciple to take care of the fool."
...
Won opened his eyes in his room, not even a moment had seemed to have passed.
Won laughed, "Seriously are all creators like him. He seems quite jolly in battle, maybe it's that kind of battle... cough! Well if it is I hope they have a good life together and a bright and cheerful child. Hehe. Wait! His son is coming to see me. And running away by going to another universe, these guys are too high class for a low level guy like me.
Won then became serious.
"Every path is correct and every path is false." Won kept repeating that in his head.
Unexpectedly time seemed to shift around him, and in a few moments twenty days passed by.
Won's eyes opened and his head was clear, it was as if many unknown things became known to him.
Won mumbled as he looked outward into the dark sky, "It dosent matter if I'm wrong, because that's my path. My way can never be controlled by others."
...
Countless years within the Trial flashed by.
Countless battles, with countless seas of blood rising. Through these countless tedious and frightening times one man made himself known to the entire Universe.
Won the God Emperor.
He had broken through his own world's restrictions and gone to countless worlds, killing and eventually ruling. His abilities were known to be amazing and his cunning even more frightening.
Eventually even Heaven's will submitted to the man at the head of the world.
Like this countless years continued to pass by, as the God Emperor did everything a man could imagine.
He bed the greatest beauties, he saw the most wonderful sights, he even occasionally dressed as a mortal and wandered around drinking merrily with beggars and commoners.
...
Won was in a magnificent palace, sitting as he gazed at the vast expanse of space in front of him.
1,000,000,000 years.
Won frowned, "What is my carnal desire? I've done everything? Countless women have become mine I am the supreme being in this world, I have numerous children, I have mastered most methods present to me, I've killed all humans. What is my desire?"
"I sat in a lone mountain for a 600 million years reciting Buddhist scriptures and reading profound mantras. I didn't eat meat for all those years nor did I drink water! Every day was filled with lighting incense, meditating, gardening! It is was so bloody boring, but atleast after so long I achieved great success in Buddhism and became only a step lower than a bodhisattva."
"I climbed every Shaolin temple imaginable, showed my Buddhism and forced them to teach me the way of the fist and palm. 10 million years searching every Universe, going to every master and learning!"
"I learnt the sword for a hundred million years from all those arrogant Taoists! I learnt all there is to know about Ruism by reading and writing for 300,000 million years! My penmanship is so great even the natural world is affected! The last time I drew calligraphy the sky nearly splintered! I learnt from the Supreme Assasin of the Western Raju realm! I learnt all these things yet you still won't release me!"
Won sank into his throne, "Ai. Over 1000 of my 3000 of my women have betrayed me for power, opportunity or something or another, my children are all conniving bastards. Isn't this fucking enough?"
Won heard voice deafen his ears, "Does it matter? The completion of this trial? Like the Bloodiest Devil said who knows what's real or not, it's only based on what you feel. This world can be real or it can be fake. As long as you wish it you can reside here in Supremacy, you can be powerful and have all that you wish. From power to women, everything. Imagine going back. Imagine being that weak again, imagine have to face all the ugliness the world offers again. Imagine how much effort it would take. Just rest in the Sky you built."
Won's eye's grayed, as slowly he began to still. Like a statue.
Just then four hands touched his back, their warmth spreading like an explosion through Won.
Won turned around, and suprisingly tears began to fall down his face. Two streaks appearing, as a wry smile appeared on his face.
Staring back at him was a slightly pretty woman with long black hair and black eyes, who looked very similar to Won. Another a short woman with large muscles, yet a beautiful face and wild red hair. Then a large made man and a skinny long faced man. They were all smiling at Won and mumbled, "Never give up."
Won laughed, "Mom, Auntie, Libra, Juan. You can't be so unruly. You left me to go off who knows where and now you won't let me come along aswell. There's a limit your bullying."
Won stood up as energy wrapped around his body.
The sky began to become discolored, as space and time twisted inwardly. Rivers of chaos, and various other celestial bodies all coalesced into a single bright spinning spot in Won's palm.
From the very ends of the universe, all things gathered in Won's palm.
Won mumbled, "But you four are right. Even this Universe isn't enough to fill my heart. These fakes, this world where I can't get revenge for you, this world where I am chained and fettered. This world can never contain my desire. My Endless Neverending Desire can never be contained in some illusion such as this."
A silence penetrated into all things in the universe. Only a blinding light filled the Universe.
Won looked at the spinning ball in his hand, a smirk on his face.
He whispered, "Thanks for the fun times, but I best be going."
Won closed his palm and the light was captured by his hand.
Reality distorted and collapsed, as all of existence shuddered and scattered.
In the end nothing was left.
...
Won woke up in the familiar white room. He smirked, "It's been many years."
