"Now let's watch" the golden boy smirked and jerked his head towards Aya and Mai.
Lady nodded and just stood there as the realm finally ceased shaking and a blinding light filled everywhere. She squinted her eyes but they still got scorched so she gave up and covered her eyes with her palm, leaving a tiny gap between her fingers so she could witness whatever the boy had to show her. Then a loud voice laughed and the laughter shook the realms again as Aya and Mai chuckled.
"Mai and Aya, you are still being silly" the voice laughed again " Mai why don't you come here as often as you used to?"
"Forgive me father" Lady watched Mai bow her head," I had been busy with the task you gave me"
"What?" Aya said with a tone of confusion, an eyebrow perked up with an acussing stare aimed at Mai.
" What?" Mai met Aya's eyes, shrugging and feigning innocence.
" What task have you been given that I know nothing of" Aya asked sharply.
" Are yo-"
" Stop it! " The loud voice rang and shook the realm again " Aya, you don't have to know everything and Mai, you don't have to behave in a childish manner" the voice chastised.
" But what is this task that I know nothing of, Supreme One?" Aya asked.
"I gave Mai the task to create humans and anyways, I have to leave you, come visit again another time" the voice said and then suddenly, the realm cleared, the harsh blinding light was gone replaced by a cool soothing one. The whipping wind and the shaking of the realm stopped.
Then Lady saw Aya glaring at Mai, a hot and fiery anger dancing in her eyes, she turned and left Mai disappearing to nowhere leaving Mai in the realm. But Lady could blink, she felt as she was being sucked dry of her blood, she felt hot and her skin was buzzing and that was when she realised that the golden boy was taking her to another place.
When the sensation ceased, Lady found herself on a very high cliff with the golden boy holding her hand.
"Would you mind giving a prior warning before doing whatever that you do to warp us to somewhere" Lady hissed angrily at the golden boy.
" I didn't think that was necessary" The golden boy nonchalantly said.
"What! " Lady huffed "You didn't think it was necessary to warn me before driving and making me feel crazy?" she raised her voice.
" What? " The golden boy shrugged "Calm down, you are almost looking like a lost goddess"
" I really can't believe this" Lady huffed again.
" Talking about goddesses, look up there " the golden boy pointed to the highest point of the hill.
Lady followed the direction and saw Aya standing there. She had a frown on her face and her eyes were red with anger, she was shaking all over and her hands were drawn into tight fists. Her energy cackled around her and she was taking in deep short breaths.
"What made her so angry?" Lady's anger dissipated and her eyes bulged out of her sockets as she asked the golden boy.
"Her own stupidity" The golden responded blandly without missing a breath.
Lady tilted her head towards the golden boy and sighed ending with a glare "I even wonder why I'm still talking to you"
" You know you can't blame me for saying the truth, the truth is always bitter and ugly" The golden boy's voice turned sullen " And sometimes it's too hard to hear or even get it"
" What are you trying to say? " Lady asked.
" Just watch, you will soon understand" the golden boy replied.
And then Lady raised her eyes to where Aya stood on the cliff with her anger still brewing hot. Lady saw a dark smoke appear in front of Aya and then it morphed into the shape of a human being with eyes as big as saucers and and irregular circle for a mouth.
"Who is that?" Lady questioned.
"That is the voice of doom" the golden boy answered.
"The voice of doom?" Lady furrowed her eyebrows " As in the voice that warms of impending danger?"
"Yes, that is it"
" Wait! " Lady's eyes widened " Does that mean that Aya is in danger now? " her eyes darted from the golden boy to Aya and then back again.
"No you silly girl" the golden boy sighed and rubbed his temples " The voice of doom doesn't necessarily warn about dangers, it just tells you that it is coming as its part of doom. The voice of doom is also known as the devil's voice, it deceives and brings out your darkest parts, that's it's main function. It just tells you that it is coming to destroy you to taunt you and we twisted it a little for you humans"
" I swear my head will burst one day from understanding you gods" Lady sighed.
" You are meant to know all of this" The golden boy said "Now quite and watch"
Lady lifted up her eyes once again and saw the voice of doom now hovering close to Aya "See what I told you, he dotes on Mai and even gave her the task of creating the humans whereas you both are equally capable of doing it"
" I just don't understand father, I am the eldest and the most powerful, the first and pride of his creation so why he couldn't he give me that honor? " Aya snarled into the air.
" See, you're finally thinking" the voice of doom praised Aya " Mai is the youngest of all the gods yet she has powers even she herself has yet to discover, don't you think the Supreme One is being unfair to you and the others? "
" Absolutely! " Aya stamped her foot " It is absolutely unacceptable, Mai can't be the one who father favors the most, I am the eldest and the firstborn, I am supposed to be the one with that honor"
" Definitely and there is no doubt about that Aya" The voice of doom was now very close to Aya " So as the eldest you are supposed to let the Supreme One know that what he is doing is absolutely unfair"
" I must really do this and I'll make sure to destroy Mai, she can't just take over everything I worked so hard to establish before she was created, first she given a realm, then she was blessed with immense divinity and wisdom, then it was unparallel powers and now this, no! " Aya roared " It is unacceptable! "
" Very unacceptable, you know what Aya, I say we make a plan to eradicate Mai from the picture"
" Yes, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do" Aya's voiced out with tine full of venom and wickedness.
Lady felt her legs give up as she fell on her knees with a heavy thud, her ears refused to believe what she heard and her eyes refused to believe what she saw.
"What is this?" she voiced out sadly to no one in particular.
The golden boy drew near near to Lady and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder "The beginning of a fall"
"Why is she filled with so much hatred?" Lady asked still refusing to believe that a goddess could be so mad with power.
"That's something only the Supreme One and Aya herself can answer, no one knows when Aya began fell down heavily in the course of her greed that she even went to form an alliance with the power of darkness" the golden boy said, his own voice on the verge of breakage as he saw tears rolling down Lady's cheeks.
He braced himself and held back his emotions, putting a smile on his face, Lady was finally awakened, her path to becoming a goddess was now paved and she has to know everything and what caused anything to perfectly understand her eyes upcoming responsibilities.
Putting on a neutral face and evening out his voice he said to Lady " Get up, we have one more place to be"
He helped Lady up and Lady sniffed back her tears as she watched Aya go on about plans to kill her own sister, a situation which was not different from what she was experiencing in her own life, at least Mai had to fight against her sister but she had to fight against her mother one day, the person she respects and honors the most, the one who gave birth to her and gave her life.
"Let's go" she said to the golden boy
