"where is she?"she heard one of the thugs growl. The little girl trembled upon hearing the man's raucous voice. The girl searched around desperately for a weapon she could use.
At last, the girl sighted a dagger that was just a bit far from the bed but that won't stop her. She gently crawled towards the edge of the bed, also glancing around to make sure she wouldn't get caught.
As soon as her hand grasped the dagger by its hilt, a hand caught hers. "Hah.." the blonde haired man pulled her out from under the bed using her wrist. She struggled desperately to break free from his grip. "Ahhh !" she let out an ear piercing scream "Let me go!". "Hahaha" the blonde haired man laughed at her failed attempt to escape him.
"Gus,stop playing and just kill it" Tobias who had been watching his accomplise play hide and seek with the little girl, said at last. "Right" The man who held her,slightly nodded his head.
The girl began to shed tears as he picked up the axe which had lying on the floor . She somewhat felt like this was the end of the line for her so she closed her eyes and waited for the pain that would be inflicted on her.
However before the weapon could even land on her, they were distracted by the sound of a faint whistle. Tobias stopped leaning on the wall then moved towards the door he had destroyed earlier out of curiosity. As soon as he reached the door the whistle stopped.
'Was he hearing things?' this was one of the vast train of thoughts flowing through his head. It was all in his head... right?. "Tobias" Gus called "Do you hear something ?". The girl on the other hand had been oblivious to all these happenings as she was slowly trying to pull her wrist away from the man named Gus.
Out nowhere some unknown object flew directly into back of Gus's neck leaving him frozen. The girls' eyes widened as she watched him fall lifelessly unto the floor.
Meanwhile, Tobias briefly glanced at Gus's body before he pulled out gun then left the room with a smile tugging at the side of his lips.
'You finally came ' Tobias thought inwardly stepping out of the room only to find the rest of the house cover with fog.
