Aidan P.O.V
"Caleb, we've delayed telling them for long enough. If we don't tell them now, who knows how they'll find out, and if they don't get told by us, then the entire situation will be worse.", I stated. It's been a week since the scan, and we haven't told our parents or the professors. We were supposed to talk to them the day after, but Caleb has been jittery about it all, leaving me to make the arrangements that just so happened to be for today. 'We're going to the hospital to see my mother at half eleven, making our way to the Micheals' residence at ten past one and the meeting with Mr Collins is at three-o-five. Just tell him.', I thought as I anxiously tapped my foot on the ground.
"Aidan please! What if mom disowns me or something?! And I don't want your mother to hate me when we've only met once. Hell, what are the professors going to think!", he argued as he paced the room. Sighing, I walked over to him and turned him to face me.
"Babe, I hate to drop this on you, but we're supposed to be meeting my mother at half eleven, yours at ten past one, and then Mr Collins at three-o-five. I had it all planned yesterday, please don't be mad.", I said, but didn't wait for a response as I picked him up and placed him gently over my shoulder, swiftly making my way out of the room.
"Aidan put me down! I can walk perfectly fine!", he squealed, hitting my back with his fists. I just laughed at his reaction and continued making my way down to the ground floor. If we weren't outside when I put him down, I could almost guarantee he would run back into the dorm room and lock the door; I couldn't get to him. Once we were outside, I set him back down onto his feet but gripped his hand to prevent him from running. He sighed while he held my hand. "Thank you. Now, let's get this finished. The sooner we do it, the less time we have to stress about it.", he admitted, beginning to walk. I followed, relieved that he had finally agreed to go.
We arrived at the hospital to see mother five minutes early, giving us time to find the room. We greeted the woman at the front desk and checked in then given visitor's badges.

We stood outside the door to Mrs Langston's room; my heart is practically leaping out of my chest. 'I've never even met her before, and now I'm pregnant with her son's children. Heck, I'm dating him too! What if she doesn't approve of me and wants us to break up? I would be all alone..', I thought, lips quivering at the thought of Aidan leaving me. A hand strokes my arm and I look up to see Aidan's worried gaze on me.
"I'm okay, Aidan. Let's... let's go in, do it, and hope for the best", I smiled, sucking in a breath. He nodded before pushing open the door to his mother's room.
In the room sat a woman with white hair and silver eyes. She had a small smile on her face and was wearing a shirt and jeans. Hopefully, she's as friendly as she looks. Mrs Langston stood up and walked towards us, giving Aidan a big, long hug.
"Aidan! I've missed you so much, son! Has the school been okay? And training? Oh and is this adorable boy beside you that boyfriend of yours that you mentioned in your letters?", she rambled. I flushed at her saying I was cute but quickly contained myself.
"Yes mother, everything has been fine, and I've missed you too. Also, you're correct, this is Caleb, my boyfriend.", he replied with his usual calm tone. 'She seems okay with me.. maybe she won't take it too badly?', I thought. My mind wiped blank of this as my arms wrapped around me. Except they weren't Aidan's, they seemed more delicate, and the person seemed shorter. I soon realised it was Mrs Langston and hugged back, smiling a little myself. When we stepped back from the hug, I introduced myself.
"I'm Caleb Micheals! It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs Langston!" I said to her. She laughed, shaking her head and taking my hands in hers.
"Caleb, dear, please, call me Rachel. No need for all the formalities!", she replied, then turned to Aidan. "You chose such a polite young man, Aidan!", she finished and then sat back down on her bed. I looked at Aidan, feeling a loss of words. He just nodded, reassuring me it would be okay. Giving a small smile in return, I began to speak up.
"Mrs Langsto- I mean, Rachel. We... we have some news.", the weakness of my voice shocked me as I spoke, and I couldn't help but panic more. The same questions ran wild in my mind; would she be mad? Will she make him break up with me? Or will she be happy? I was so distracted that I didn't realise Aidan had told her.
"Mother, Caleb is pregnant with twins. Our twins.". Those were his words. Or, at least, what I had heard of them. Out of shock, I sucked in a breath and dug my nails into my palms. Rachel's face was blank, and she stayed silent for a moment until it had clicked in her head. Almost immediately after that, her eyes widened, and she smiled widely, running over to us and giving us tight hugs. A wave of relief settled over me as I hugged back, a few stray tears escaping my eyes.
"That's wonderful, you two! My, I'm going to be a grandmother, to twins no less! Have you told your parents yet, Caleb? And what about your siblings and... and your father, Aidan?" she asks. All it took to dampen the mood was the mere mention of him. Aidan isn't on the best of terms with his dad, so it's no surprise that he seemed angered at the idea of him. "I- Sorry, Aidan, dear. I didn't mean to bring him up... but moving on, congratulations to the both of you, and good luck telling your siblings and Caleb's relatives.", she finished, giving an apologetic smile. I smiled back at her in an attempt to reassure her that it was okay.
"Thank you, Rachel! Aidan and I will make sure to keep you updated on the babies, I promise!", I said, trying to ease the tension. Aidan relaxed a little, nodding his head, while his mother continued to chat. We stayed for a little longer until it was time for us to leave.
"It's been lovely meeting you, Caleb. Please look after Aidan for me, and you'd better look after Caleb too, Aidan. He's a keeper, and I can't wait to attend the wedding!" she squealed out. My face flushed a deep red, and I covered my face with my hands. Aidan laughed and hugged his mother goodbye before leading me out of the hospital and towards a taxi.
"You okay, baby?" Aidan asked me as we sat in the back of the car, halfway to my mom's house. Looking at him, I smile and nod to tell him I'm okay. He returns the gesture while squeezing my hand. 'He's probably nervous too. He's never met my mom before so he'll be freaking out, just like me.', I thought.
"Aidan, love, I promise I'm okay. And you'll be fine too, my mom will be happy, and she's not one to judge either.", I reassured him. His shoulders visibly relaxed, making me smile. He returned the gesture and we continued our journey towards my mom's house.
