Aidan P.O.V
"The groups will be as following", Coach Tyler says as he pulls a piece of paper from his bag. "Aidan and Julia, Riley and Becka, Jordan and Amber, Ester and Roxanne, Harry and Felix, Jake and Scarlett, David and Lawrence, Alex and Jayden, George and Matthew, and lastly, Caleb and Derek." 'Fuck.' is the only thought that rushes through my mind as Coach finishes. You might wonder why I'm panicking about this. Well.. let's just say, Derek doesn't just hit on all the girls. I've caught him multiple times touching my Caleb in places he shouldn't. The rest of the class goes to their partner, but my blood wouldn't stop boiling. I barely notice a small tug on my sleeve, but look down when I feel a small tap on my face. I see Caleb, who looks paler than usual, holding onto my arm as if he doesn't know what to do.
"Aidan... I-I'm scared of working with him.." he says to me, but his voice is weak and small, almost as if he's struggling to breathe. I take a minute to regain my posture and then reassure him that it'll be okay and if he does anything, Riley, Jordan and I would put him in his place. He nods and smiles softly, before kissing my cheek and walking away. Then Julia approaches me, ready to discuss strategies. I zone out again, dreading what could happen, but snap out of it as Coach speaks again.
"Now that you're all in your partners, we'll discuss how the class is going to work. In your teams of two, you're going to have to fight another team of two, one being the 'cops' and the other being the 'robbers'. Not only this, but you will be tasked with saving someone. The teams will be as follows; Aidan and Julia will have to save someone and fight Jordan and Amber. Jake and Scarlett will have to do the same but fight against Riley and Becka. David and Lawrence will fight George and Matthew. Alex and Jayden will go against Ester and Roxanne. Lastly, Caleb and Derek will be going against Felix and Harry.", Well shit. With Felix being so heavy-handed, if he accidentally goes too hard on Caleb, it could seriously harm him and the baby. I swear my heart skips a beat as Julia taps on my shoulder to ask me something.
"Aidan, are you ready? We're going first," she says with a delicate voice. I nod slightly, my usual blank expression plastered on my face.
Caleb P.O.V
I'm terrified. Not only am I going up against Felix and Harry, but I'm paired with Derek. Derek hasn't stopped looking at me since we got paired up, and he keeps touching my hips when no one's looking. In the midst of that though, Aidan and Julia managed to save the dummy, barely winning against Jordan and Amber with their fair share of grazes. Since my group was gonna be the last to compete, I stood by Aidan after he had finished keeping away from Derek. All in all, the whole class did really well. Well, apart from Alex losing control for a second, but he managed to regain control pretty quickly so it was lucky. The matches passed seemingly fast as it was now mine and Derek's turn to fight Felix and Harry.
I suck a breath in as I look down at my stomach. 'I told Aidan and Jordan I would stay safe and keep the baby safe, I have to keep that promise.' I think to myself. I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see Aidan looking worried.
"Baby, I'm sure it'll be okay. I-I know Felix could hurt you and.. you know, but all you have to do is avoid his attacks... I have faith in you, babe. You can do this, alright? And if I have a bad feeling about it, I'll come right over to you, I promise. I don't give a fuck if this is training, I'm protecting my family." he murmurs into my ear and pecks my cheek before walking me over to my partner. We make our way over to where we'll be sparring with Felix and Harry so that we can come up with a strategy first. As I'm explaining it to Derek, however, he walks behind me and gropes my butt. I let out a small scream and turn to face him, backing away slowly.
"So damn cute, I could just eat you up.", he slurs, drooling. 'Great, now he's acting like a pervert. As if I didn't have enough to worry about already.', I think as I continue backing away until my back hits something solid. I glance backwards and see a large boulder behind me, blocking me from escaping. 'Shoot. What am I supposed to do? Should I scream for Aidan..? No, I can't. I shouldn't bug him with this.' I gulp and look back at Derek. I take a deep breath and steady myself slightly.
"I- Derek, let's.. let's talk this out. A-alright..?", I whimper out, my eyes pleading. He looks at me for a moment before shaking his head.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, Caleb. You're simply.. too cute.", he laughs as he pins me to the wall. He leans down, not stopping until we're face to face. I can feel him breathing on me, and I hate it. He starts touching all over my body and forcing himself on me. I can't help it as a few stray tears leave my eyes and fall down my cheeks. As he continues this, I can't help but feel dirty. All I want to do is scream for Aidan and beg for him to save me, but whenever I open my mouth, I cease to make any noise but a small, strangled sob.
"P-please Derek... D-don't do this.." I plead, but he turns his head to it as he continues gripping my waist and kissing down my body. Just as I thought it couldn't get any worse, it does. He starts pulling the rim of my shorts down, leaving me in a shirt. For the next ten or so minutes, he continues doing unspeakable things to me as I stand there, helpless. I can't stop the endless tears that seem to flow out of my eyes, my body shaking violently. The one thing I manage to say is "Please.. s-stop..". Once he's done, he looks satisfied with himself and lets me go.
"Caleb, don't tell anyone about this, alright? Let's go and finish training," he tells me. Scared to disagree, I nod and begin pulling my underwear and shorts back on. As we walk, I notice that everyone was gone. My eyes scan the area until they land on someone; Felix. He looks in my direction and his eyes light up.
"Caleb? We've been looking all over for you! Are you alright? Why were you guys gone so long? We ended up cancelling the end of training to look for you and Derek! I'm glad we found you, bro!", he says and walks up to me, giving me a light hug. I flinch as his arms wrap around me, and tears make my eyes gloss over. The memories of what Derek did rush back into my head and I find myself crying in Felix's arms, clinging to him for dear life. I feel myself get picked up as we move somewhere, but I keep my eyes shut. The next time I open them, we're on the bus and everyone is looking at Felix and me, concerned. I don't know what they're saying though. Everything seems like a blur. The only thing I remember is being moved as I pass out in someone's arms.
Aidan P.O.V
We all sit on the bus, waiting for news on Caleb. Derek had returned a few minutes ago with Harry, looking oddly happy. That leaves Felix looking for Cal. I tried to leave and go look for him, but Coach sat me back down and told me that Felix would bring him back soon. And so, I sat there, head in my hands, waiting for their return. Barely ten minutes later, we see Felix climbing onto the bus with a sobbing Caleb in his arms.
"I.. he just burst into tears when I hugged him... I don't know what happened but he seemed jumpy.. possibly scared?", he says with concern in his voice. Murmuring fills the whole bus as they look between Derek and Caleb. I'm confused for a minute until it hits me. 'No.. he didn't. He wouldn't. He wouldn't go that far, would he?' I think to myself before standing up and approaching Jordan.
"Do me a favour, please take Caleb from Felix. I have something to do.", my tone is low and cold as I speak, and all he could do is nod before walking over to our bubbly, blonde friend and taking the small boy from his arms. I approached Derek, seething with rage. I grab his collar and hold him up, staring him dead in the eye.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!", I scream, anger overtaking me. He shivers, and the whole bus goes silent as Coach makes Riley restrain me. I couldn't help the overwhelming feeling of rage that consumed me. I had to know. "I said. What the fuck did you do to him, you filthy little pervert?". Instead of raising my voice, I sounded completely calm. I glared at him, then glanced towards Jordan. "Jordan.". He looks back towards me.
"What is it?", he questions. I take a deep breath before speaking again.
"Take his suit off. Caleb's, I mean. I know what Derek did, I just need confirmation.". As I say his name, a look of disgust appears on my face. Jordan takes one look at me and, knowing I wasn't joking, slowly removes Caleb's suit. Sure enough, you could see countless hickeys, hand marks and bruises that littered his body.
"You filthy bastard...", I hear Jordan say. The whole class gasps as they see the state of Caleb's body, and their gaze shifts to Derek. Everyone began yelling at him and I think Ester ended up slapping him as I made my way over to Jordan. He passes Cal to me before speaking softer than I've ever heard him speak before.
"Need a friend, idiot..?", he asks sincerely. At that moment, tears escape my eyes without warning. He awkwardly hugs me from the side and tries to reassure me that Derek will get what he deserves. I hold Caleb close as I cry and in the end, we head back to the dorms, the whole atmosphere silent as if no one knew what to say. I took Caleb back to my dorm and changed him into one of my t-shirts and a pair of my shorts before changing myself and getting into bed, cradling him in my arms. 'I promise I won't let anything like this happen again... I love you both too much.', is my final thought as I drift off to sleep.
