If you guys have forgotten, Darknorians get resurrected after dying in a battle. The three warriors came back where they died in a few moments after the battle. Magnum had stopped glowing and so had I. I was back to normal and faced Adonis and my father who were now having astonished faces.
"How did you do that, son?! That was amazing!" My father said. "Yes indeed! Blaze, you have proven that you are the rightful owner of Magnum. You can wield it. Keep strengthening your bond." Adonis said.
I smiled and looked at Magnum. It seemed to have a sparkle on the blade. Maybe trying to tell me, Well done! "You did a great job, buddy!" One of the warriors said. The other two nodded in agreement. I was praised a lot. After a little discussion, Adonis and his three warriors bid farewell and went off. That left me and my father. We went home together, talking about Magnum's potential.
I reached home and told the whole tale to my grandma. (Did I ever tell you I had a grandma?) She was listening eagerly. Grandma smiled and patted me on my back. "Keep it up, Blaze. Nowadays, weapon spirits are not believed in. But you are going the right way!" The old lady praised.
After sometime, I had my lunch. I was too eager to try out Magnum again so I finished my lunch quickly and headed straight to the garden. Yes, I have a garden. And I thought that was the best place to practice, peace everywhere, a field full of flowers and bushes. Is there a better place to battle? I took Magnum in my hand who did not weigh as much as before. Maybe because of our bond growing, I could not feel the weight.
I practiced some new strikes. I tried to use him while I was in the air, jumping from a tree. That trick was pretty awkward and stupid to practice. Yet I tried anything I could think of. I needed to learn how to wield the blade.
After sometime, my father came in the garden, watching me practicing from a distance. Then he walked up to me. At that time, I was trying to cut a tree trunk, the same size as Adonis had brought. I had failed the last time. So I had decided to practice. I took my position. "That's not how you strike, son!" My father said. I noticed him, now beside me, smiling at my mistake. Not knowing how to reply, I kept quiet. He came forward.
Grabbing my hand which was placed on Magnum, he stood behind me. He brought the weapon behind using my hand. "You need to hit it like this." He said and suddenly, as if this was someone else, I felt a surge of speed and power entering in me from his hand.
I struck the log and it broke into two pieces. I stared at my father in shock who was now smiling as usual. "How did you do that?! That was awesome. I don't understand why you left being a warrior." I blurted out. That last part shouldn't have come out of my mouth. My father's smile went away. He went into a deep thought then smiled again. "There were stronger warriors. Keep practicing, my dear." Saying so, he vanished.
