I kept on practicing for some time until my grandma came to me. "Great warriors always need great rest, child. Go get yourself some sleep. Don't push yourself." Grandma said. I noted her quote in my to-remember-list.
Being a good grandchild, I listened to my grandma and dozed off immediately on the bed. I woke up quite late than usual, the reason being…. you know, the entire great rest thing. (When it comes to sleeping, I am the most polite boy who listens to anyone!) I got up and finished my daily chores quickly. I went down to have my breakfast.
I saw my father seated in front of the table, waiting for his breakfast while he was talking to someone on the phone. I quietly sat down. His phone call ended and he turned towards me. He informed, "Blaze, Adonis called me." I thought, Great! The last time he called my dad, I nearly got destroyed by three warriors. What is it this time? "He told that he needs to talk to you. He seemed serious. Go to his Workshop at 11:30." My father said. I nodded and had my breakfast.
Why did Adonis sound serious was my question. Was it because he was going to kill me with 5 warriors this time? I finished eating and went on with practicing how to use my battle-axe.
At 11:30, with magnum strapped to my waist (Yes, I bought a scabbard for Magnum), I headed for Adonis's Workshop. I reached there to see the eagerly waiting Adonis. He looked at me. Grabbing my hand, he took me in the workshop.
Nothing had changed. Things were the same. The room was still not cleaned after our Magnum-making event. I could see many tools on the table as usual. Adonis brought two chairs from nearby and sat on one. I took the other one. Adonis did look serious.
"How is everything going with Magnum?" Adonis enquired. "Very well! I am having fun in-" Before I could finish, Adonis spoke up. "Listen up, kid. There is a tournament being held near our town. It's called Warrior Battle Fest (WBF)." Adonis said. At first, I cursed the name of the tournament. Who thought of such a name? (Stupid author) But I kept quiet and let Adonis continue.
"Great warriors from around the world are coming to participate in this tournament. We are very lucky to have this tournament just in the next town." Adonis continued. I didn't understand why he was telling me all this. "I want you to participate in this tournament." Adonis said. I almost fell from my chair. First, he made me fight three skilled warriors, and now, he tells me to fight in the tournament where the most skilled warriors from around the world were participating.
"But I am still learning to wield Magnum! How can I fight them?" I protested. But Adonis's expression didn't change. "Kid, if you keep your mind positive, you will surely win." Adonis said. Easy for him to say, I thought. Today he is telling me to think positive. Tomorrow, he will tell me to find inner peace. What is this, a meditation session?
"But I am not as skilled as those warriors participating!" I tried my luck one last time. Adonis smiled. "Kid, let me tell you a story. He said. I thought, Great! Now this has turned into a kindergarten story telling class!!!
