HARD TRAINING (2)
Stalane went silent for a second while she stares at Syton's eyes. She tried to read what he's thinking but she still can't comprehend him.
"If I'm strong, are you not?" Stalane nonchalantly asked.
Syton smirked. "I am! Although you're stronger than me, I still could assure you that I've grown stronger. Look, I even defeated a guild master! And that's all thanks to Riki's guidance"

Riki was on his way back to the New Rion's guild house, when a sudden notification popped.
"Help a certain braver to find his own path of the sword" he read out loud the main quest that was given to him.
"Oh?" Riki said in amusement.
He looked around his area, since he knows that the braver which the main quest was talking about should be near.
Riki found a group of people who was fighting a rank 3H misl frog. At the back of the Bravers was an unarmed man who was only standing and watching them. It seemed that this guy was the one who gives order to the Bravers.
"notitia" Riki whispered.
He specifically looked the information of the man who was at the back.

Syton

"Is that supposed to be him?" Riki asked himself.
He found another swordsman among the group, but Riki was not quite interested in him. So, Riki concluded that Syton must be the one who the main quest was talking about.
"He seems weak though" Riki murmured.
Riki shrugged as he watched the group fight the misl frog from afar. At first, Riki doubted that a group of rank 5H Bravers with only 3 people attacking and one is only watching would be able to defeat a rank 3H misl frog. But he has been proven wrong.
The party of rank 5H Bravers successfully defeated a rank 3H monster!
"Not bad" Riki commented. He watched how the 3 Bravers surrounded Syton and thanked him for helping them.
Syton grinned and said, "It's okay. I didn't do much anyway. But, of course you still need to give me my part for this job. I need Gou for a living, you see"
"Of course! Without your clever tactics, we wouldn't have won against that monster!" the healer of the party said.
"Oh? My plan wouldn't worked out if you guys didn't listen to me. So, the credits all belong to you. But, of course I only picked your party because I saw some potential on the three of you. Your stats are not quite bad, but I think you guys should train a little bit more" Syton honestly said.
Riki flinched. 'How did Syton know how to look at someone's statistics?' Riki thought to himself.
"How'd you know our stats?" just like what Riki was curious about, the other swordsman besides Syton asked.
"Oh? I'll tell you how I get it, if you pay for Gou. This information actually worth a lot for rank 5H bravers" Syton said.
Riki laughed when he heard this. He now figured out how Syton got to learn their statistics. It's probably by adding them as a friend then look at their information afterwards. With Syton's rank, Riki doubt that he already have a level 3 or above notitia. In fact, he also doubt if Syton already got to learn the Lyrion spell notitia.
The healer rolled his eyes and said, "Anyway, let's head back to collect our rewards already"
Riki followed them. Syton and the others received their reward, then they all went to their own separate ways.
When Syton was finally all alone, Riki showed himself.
"Yo!"
Syton looked at Riki as if analyzing him. He then gave a smile.
"Was I interesting?" Syton asked.
Riki found himself dumbfounded at Syton's question. "Pardon?"
Syton tilted his head as if he was confused. "I thought someone was watching me, earlier. It was not you?"
Riki was speechless at how keen Syton's observation was!
"You knew?"
Syton smiled as he shook his head. "No. I was only bluffing. I didn't thought that it'd work"
"Ah!" Riki felt embarrassed to be found out and got tricked by his words. He scratched his cheek in embarrassment.
Syton tried to hide his nervousness by laughing but it turned out to be an awkward laugh instead. "Umm... So? What do you want with me? Just so you know, I'm weak and I don't have a lot of Gou"
That woke up Riki. He remembered what his goal was. "Fight me" Riki said in a stern voice.
Syton blinked thrice before he completely comprehend Riki's remark. "What? Sorry, I can't. I told you that I'm still weak"
But Riki remained unfazed and stared at him, waiting for a good response.
Syton thought for a while. He looked up by using his eyes as if he was thinking. "Umm... How about this? If you really want to fight me, ask me again after a year." Syton tried to compromise.
Riki looked at him in astonishment.
But Syton took that in another way, so he tried to intimidate him by saying : "Or are you the type of person who are strong to the weak but weak to the strong?"
Riki snorted and said, "What?"
Syton realized that he may used a terrible approach. So, he just covered his trembling hand in his pocket and smiled.
"I'll be stronger than you in a year" Syton summarized.
Although Syton was scared at Riki since he doesn't know how strong this guy was, Syton was nevertheless confident that he'd be strong enough by then.
Riki smirked and raised his hands in defeat, "I got you. A year, huh? Okay, let's face at Brave Challenger Games in a year. That is if you'd be at a rank D already"
Syton secretly gulped.
"Since you're not gonna fight me, you better come with me to the New Rion's guild. My real purpose was to test if you're worthy enough for our guild" Riki reasoned out.
"Guild? No, I'm not interested" Syton declined.
Riki gave a threatening aura which made Syton shiver. "Follow me"
Syton sighed and had no choice but to follow him.
