CUAZENTA (1)
Stalane followed Syton when he went outside. She look at him confusedly when she noticed how he was tapping so fast in the air.
"What are you doing?" Stalane asked.
Syton didn't even bothered to look at her way as he nonchalantly answered, "I'm cursing at Riki for giving me this quest. Oh, you should try cursing at your friend since he also gave you something to do for this dangerous quest"
Stalane tilted her head.
"Kaleigh? What does he have to do with this?"
After sending the message to Riki, Syton finally turned to face Stalane. He smiled at her innocent looking face.
"I just thought that you might need someone to blame before its all too late"
Stalane became more confused and she think twice if she should really message Kaleigh or not. In the end, she decided to not do what Syton have advised.
"Aww, I really wished that you'd be the warrior class between us instead. This'll be a really tiring journey" Syton complained like a child while he walked forward.
Stalane ignored Syton's tantrum and asked him the most important question.
"Do you know where the Tree of a Realm is located?"
Syton tap his temple to indicate that he's talking with someone through telepathy.
"I'm currently asking someone who knows. It's not a nice place he said. That is why I told you to message your friend already before you regret it later"
"Who are you talking to?" Stalane ignored Syton's advice again.
She noticed how Syton gave a smirked as if he was really proud.
"He's a good spy that I've picked on a bar before" he answered.
"Spy?"
Syton nodded proudly. "An advanced class of a thief"

A shadow of a man slitting someone's neck could be seen under the full moon. Blood splashed all over the place after the crime.
"Just how many does those guys want to influence so they could just die from my hands?" The man murmured while letting the guy he killed fall into the ground.
He sighed as he shook his hand to get rid of the blood that got on him.
Afterwards, he swiped into the air and messaged someone.
[Do your job properly]
He looked at the moon after sending the message.
"They're becoming too aggressive with these quests, huh?"
---
Syton stretched his arms upwards as he yawn. He only got the chance to sleep for 3 hours before they decided to start their journey again towards the Tree of a Realm.
"Are we near yet? It's already been 4 days!" Stalane asked.
Syton bring out some food from his inventory to share with Stalane. Stalane didn't even hesitate to get the food from Syton's hands.
"We'll use the formation from before for today again. I'll protect you while you kill them for me" Syton said instead.
Stalane now knew how dangerous the place they're walking into. The dera around them ranges from E to F already!
Sometimes, they even have to run from them since they were too many.
"We'll probably get to the foot of that place within 2 days with our current speed" Syton said as he ate the bread that was on his hand.
Stalane didn't ask any more questions and just silently ate her food.
After finishing their meal, they started to head towards their destination.
Stalane scouts the area with her enhanced eyesight to avoid encountering a dera.
It's not because they couldn't handle some rank F to E dera, it's just too troublesome and time consuming to deal with them. Their current opponent for this request and subquest is not the dera but the time limit.
"Within 2 km, there's a new dera that I've never seen before. I couldn't see its information with notitia from here. Should we use another path instead?" Stalane informed Syton.
Syton stopped for a moment so Stalane did the same. She waited his response while Syton seems to be thinking deeply.
But a moment later, Stalane noticed how Syton grinned.
"How many deras are there?"
"There's three" Stalane answered, hinting him to use another route instead.
If they walk straight ahead, they'll take a toll amount of time by defeating those deras!
It looked like Syton caught what Stalane was trying to convey.
But unfortunately, Syton doesn't want to give in.
"Relax. If we change our route now it'll take more amount of time rather than if we just face these 3 new deras. We'll probably finish them by an hour" Syton encouraged her.
Stalane rolled her eyes.
Syton's eagerness to fight with deras are usually the reason why they are getting sidetracked from reaching the Tree of a Realm. Syton is really excited for some thrill and action, telling Stalane that it's for his training.
In the end, Stalane doesn't have any choice but to follow what Syton desires. It's also because a part of her wants to learn what these deras are capable of and what difference do they have from the other deras.
Well, these unnecessary fights only happens whenever they encounter a new dera and if they are really capable of defeating them.
Both of them know better when to run and to fight.
"Shall we make it as a challenge to make it more interesting?" Syton suggested.
"Challenge?"
Syton smiled brightly as he brought out his weapon.
"The one who killed most of them is the winner"
Syton saw how Stalane's eyes showed how interested and competitive she was. He couldn't help but to feel amused with it.
"The prize?"
Syton shrugged. "We'll think about that later"
Stalane sighed as she shook her head. She smirked and teased him by saying, "I pray that you win against me"
"Well then, I trust you to give those three a surprise attack again in the distance while I run towards them" Syton said their usual plan whenever they are about face a new dera.
Stalane nodded. She climbed to a tree then stood on one of its branches.
"We'll use telepathy again, right?" Stalane asked in confirmation while she opened up her visual screen, preparing to contact Syton.
"Yes"
Right after Syton confirmed it, Stalane contacted him.
"Start moving fast now or I might kill them before you even reached those deras." Stalane said in telepathy.
Syton chuckled as he starting running forward. Stalane started jumping from one tree to another, trying to match with Syton's speed.
