HARD TRAINING (4)
Syton lazily slammed his body down to the ground as he tiredly closed his eyes. A moment later, he felt someone's presence coming his way. He immediately knew who it was. It's none other than Hershey.
A cruel friend of Riki who mercilessly torture him with his dera. How coward of him to use dera and not face him bare handed!
But Syton knew better that even if Hershey didn't use dera, he would still lose against Hershey at his current state.
He opened his right eye to look at the person who kicked him. It's his teacher, Riki.
"Get up! You want to find your path of the sword, right?" Riki urged Syton while kicking his lower body.
Riki's kick doesn't have any force on it, but because of Syton's body sore it still appeared to be so painful for him.
"Stop kicking me! It hurts!" Syton grumbled.
He stood up, barely maintaining his balance on the ground.
"And don't you mean learn? I already find my own path, I just need to learn it"
Riki waved his hands dismissing Syton's argument. "Whatever. Today, I'm gonna train your swordsmanship. The lesson will end if you landed a hit on me"
Riki throw a sword towards Syton which he successfully caught. Syton sighed as he pitifully looked at Riki, "Can I have some rest first?"
Riki frowned which alarmed Syton. He quickly told him his reason. "Look, I'm tired and my body is almost beaten to death. How do you think would I be able to hit you with my current condition"
Riki studied Syton by looking from his head down to his feet. "You look fine, though?"
Syton's mouth gaped as he looked at Riki who said something absurd. Syton can't believe that Riki thought that he was still fine!
"You're just making excuses, Sysy~!" Hershey backed up Riki's statement. Syton just wanted to cry at this moment.
Riki threw a purple and red potion at Syton which he easily caught. The red potion was to recover the hp he have lost while he was being beaten by Hershey's dera. On the other hand, the purple potion was to heal the soreness and body aches.
"See? You're fine" Riki said after Syton drank the potion.
Syton wryly smiled, "Yeah. Best way for reminding me that you're rich"
Riki laughed. "I'm not rich. If I were rich, I would have already paid the debts of our guild. The potions was just the rewards I've accumulated during my past successful subquests"
Syton ignored him as he stretched his arms and legs, trying to warm up his body. He knew that this training with Riki would last for a long while.
"By the way, how was your stats going?" Riki asked as he watched Syton stretched his arms.
"Going pretty well" he simply answered.
It was actually getting better than what Syton expected! But he still need to work on some different areas, like his dexterity.
If he wants to be swift as a water, he needs to work on his speed. Of course, the one hindering his training is his stamina.
Riki nodded in satisfaction, "Good. Now, let's start"

Weekends. It's a rest day for everyone, but it's a work day for Syton.
Despite of the unpleasant pain he feels in his body due to his training, Syton still gets up to do some subquests.
"Hey. So, are you gonna be my partner today?" Syton greeted the person who were chilling at the lounge of the guild house.
"Hmm. We've already met during your training, right? So we don't need introduction"
Syton closed his eyes as he remembered the painful moments. He opened his eyes as he smiled broadly.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I remember someone who was kind enough to let me stay at a dream for 3 days!" Syton sarcastically said.
It was a daydream and nightmare that Syton wouldn't forget! His emotions were been toyed by this person's illusions!
If Riki didn't arrived to stop the illusion that day, Syton wouldn't know if he would even remain sane!
The mentioned person, Lilia, returned the smile. "Our subquest for today is just hunting 3 fesot snake. The rank doesn't matter, but the higher the rank the higher the Gou we could get" she informed Syton.
Syton looked at Lilia. Because he was curious and worried, he asked her in his serious voice. "You're an illusionist, so how would you able to help me hunt?"
But Lilia took this an insult.
"Haven't you learned your lessons yet? Illusionist could be dangerous, especially for someone with no brains"
Syton gulped at how threatening Lilia's voice was. He scratched his neck, thinking if he said something bad.

Both of them entered the Aflavior's forest to hunt down some fesot snakes.
Lilia support Syton by tricking the deras using her illusions. She even made a weapon using an illusion which the deras mistook it as a real weapon. With this, the dera thought they were receiving some injury when in reality they were not.
Syton also performed very well than what Lilia expected. She noticed how quickly Syton improved for only 4 weeks. He easily defeated a rank 2H fesot snake after how many strikes.
Then Lilia thought that Syton might become a G rank braver within 2 months.
Lilia got some goosebumps at how this guy quickly grow. Lilia now realized why their guild's ace wanted to recruit him so badly. Syton would be really a good asset for their guild in the future. Who knows Syton might be the next little ace of their guild after some years?
"Hey, why don't you permanently join our guild?" Lilia asked after they defeated one fesot snake.
Syton got startled by Lilia's sudden question. He turned around to face Lilia after he picked up the card that the fesot snake dropped.
"This guild is not for me" Syton answered honestly as he smiled.
Lilia stared at him dumbfoundedly. Did he just insult their guild in front of her?
Syton tilted his head when Lilia glared at him.
Of course, Syton doesn't meant to insult the New Rion. He was just telling the truth because he have different plans.
For now, he only sees New Rion as an ally.
