At around 8 in the evening, Jordan and I decided to call it a day.
It was time to go home.
Well, his home.
"By the way, I've been wondering what made your boss change his mind?" Jordan asked as we stepped into the elevator in his building.
"Why? You've got nothing better to think about?" I scoffed.
I leaned my back against the left wall of the elevator. My legs were ready to give up and my body was craving for a soft surface to lay down on.
"Ooh. Sarcasm. I didn't know you had it in you, Rose," he smirked.
An entire day had gone by and there wasn't a muscle in Jordan's body that made him look exhausted. I watched him stand erect while I had to use the elevator wall to support my legs.
"If I hadn't just worked for 6 hours straight, I would have more to say to you," I stifled a yawn.
