"You're going to stay here? For a week?" I asked, not being able to fathom the words I heard.
Jo nodded with a bright smile on her face. "Uh-huh! I have to get to know the girl who has my brother wrapped around her finger," she grinned.
"It's not like that," Jordan said.
Jo rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. I saw that interview, I heard what you said and I don't think I've heard you talk like that about anyone else."
I looked at Jordan with a nervous smile. "She's going to stay with us?"
"Why do I have a feeling that you don't like the idea of me staying here?" Jo asked.
"Oh, no! Not at all," I said. "I would love— we would love for you to stay with us. I mean, I want to get to know Jordan's sister as well!" I faked excitement but on the inside, I was terrified.
If Jo was going to stay with us then Jordan and I would have to constantly pretend like we were a couple.
