"I can't believe this! I can't believe you'd do that Maddy! After everything that has happened. After everything that he has been through with you. Why would you not say yes?!" I stared at her with disbelief in my eyes.
"I can't do it, Sky. Now while you're still—"
"No, no! Maddy, no! I don't want you to make such decisions around me, okay? I don't want you to do that anymore!" I turned around and slammed my palms onto the kitchen counter of Maddy's cafe.
Kayla, the waitress at Cup-a-beans, looked at me with a dubious look from the corner of her eyes as she walked outside the kitchen with somebody's order in her hands.
Maddy rolled the wheels of her wheelchair and came up behind me, "Stop scaring my staff, Sky."
