I cleared my throat. "So, wanna tell me why you reek of alcohol and sweat?"
Jordan leaned back into his chair. "I was out with Alec. We went to the club."
"Oooh. Did you go dancing with your bestie?" I teased.
He gave a derisive snort. "No. I don't dance."
"You don't dance or you can't dance?" I raised a brow with a cheeky side grin.
"There's no such thing as 'can't' in my dictionary, Rose. You should know that. I just don't like to dance," shrugged.
"How come you're here then?" I asked. "If you went out with Alec then shouldn't you be with Alec right now? Why'd you leave and come here of all places?"
He looked at me for a second before he spoke. "I guess I didn't want to be there anymore. Also, Alec said something about my heart being black and I just wanted to prove him wrong."
