Knock, Knock, knock, knock, knock...
Knock knock...
Someone was knocking on the door with a catchy familiar rhythm.
"SHUT UP I'M COMING!"
Tap tap tap the person continued their rhythmic tapping on the door.
"WHAT?!" Riku roared.
Hiro stood at the door with a smile on his face and sang "Goood morning Rikuuu..."
Riku's face did not budge from its irritated expression.
"I got you cinnamon Rollssss... Hiro continued to sing.
Riku snatched the bag of cinnamon rolls from Hiro "I hate you." Then turned and walked into the kitchen.
"Where's Haru?" Hiro asked excitedly
"She's getting ready for work" Riku replied nonchalantly.
"Oh I'll just wait for you girls to get ready and we can all leave together."
"Your giddiness is starting to get on my nerves." Riku glared at Hiro coldly. If looks could freeze Hiro would be frozen.
"Oopsie" Hiro made a cutsie face at Riku and she began to gag. "Ugh, I'm not hungry anymore."
Haru came walking into the kitchen and Hiro walked up to her. "Hey, how are you feeling today?" "Considering how things went down yesterday I guess I'm not doing too bad," Haru replied. "Riku let me borrow some clothes today but after work, I want to go back to my apartment and grab my clothes." Riku was a little bigger in stature compared to Haru so the Shirt she let Haru borrow was very much too big for her. But with alterations, Riku was able to make it look like it was made to fit her.
"I'm going with you!" Hiro shouted.
Haru jumped at how abruptly he answered. "Um, Hiro you really don't have to. I can go by myself it'll be fine."
"Yeah Hiro, Haru is a big girl she can manage.
Hiro glared daggers at Riku which were immediately deflected because she didn't give a rip.
"Hiro you really don't have to come with me. You can just wait in the car It's going to be really quick anyway. I have the house key and I know when he works and he shouldn't be home Haru reasoned.
"After what I saw Haru I don't want you going there alone. I don't even want to chance it. I'm really worried Haru. So I WILL go up with you. Besides my car, I'm driving if you don't let me come with you I won't take you there. If it bothers you that much then I can stay outside like the last time and I won't come in." Hiro bargained.
Haru sighed "Fine I guess I have no choice. But promise you won't come in like the last time?"
"Scouts honor" Hiro replied enthusiastically. Hiro never went to scouts so he was making all kinds of finger signs until he gave up and just gave her a salute. Riku chuckled at the ridiculous scene and Haru couldn't help but laugh as well.
"Okay, it's all settled then, Right after work we'll head over to Haru's old apartment and grab her things. Alright now let's go to work or we'll be late."
"HOLD UP HIRO! I'm not even done eating yet! Also, we're not the ones that are going to be late because we start at a different time dingle bat. You're the one that's going to be late." Riku shouted. "You offered us a ride so you being late is on you. We're women and we take longer to get ready. You should have thought before you offered us a ride genius."
Hiro was speechless but knew that Riku made a valid point. Did he regret offering to take them to work? Not really because he still felt like Haru was his responsibility and didn't want to exclude Riku and make known his intention that Haru was his only priority. Riku was also his best friend and he owed her a lot after everything she's done for him and still does. He smiled thinking about how Riku always had his back in any situation. So being a little late to work was just a small price to pay and he didn't mind at all.
Back at the house...
"She can't be serious? She hasn't texted or called at all since yesterday... She's usually blown up my phone with paragraph text messages or at least a dozen missed calls. She can't really be over me can she?"
Kiba began conversing with himself. He looked like a mad man pacing back and forth in his house reasoning and talking to himself trying to reassure himself that His "wife" was still in love with him and she would be back. He grabbed a fist full of his hair feeling foolish to have taken her for granted. She was always good to him yet he did such horrible things to her. He still refused to believe that the divorce happened. She was a very timid girl who aways listened and did everything she could to make him happy. Now she was really gone and HE was the one that was lost.
