Chapter 1 - The Scottish War And The Weapon Crisis

South of Scotland lies the land of the Anglo-Saxons. Home to the kingdom of Camelot and the Kindom of Sorin, a kingdom forgotten by the modern world. To the west is the Land of the Irish and to the east Vikings. Scotland has fought with Sorin many times, but recently Camelot began to assault them. There was never a clear leader among the Scotts and this war pushed back Scottish land to the point where even the northern tribes began to fight. In the end, Camelot was driven out and the Scotts regained their territory. I did not come without a price, however. Before the end of the war, King Arthur slew the greatest wizard of the Scotts, and Scotland's demand for weapons skyrocketed.

Village of Mandally, Scotland:

Kalen was walking back from the woods with wood for his father's forge. He had quite a few logs on his sled and pulled it around to the forge when he heard three men talking to his father.

"What do you mean that's the best sword you can make, Lord Ferguson's last sword you made him shattered after just one battle"

Kale's Father Was a slightly fat man but had plenty of muscle built up from forging all his life. He had dark brown hair and stood at a little under six feet. He was biting his tongue trying not to yell at his aggressors.

"Well if you could gather some better material for me to make...

The man slapped Kale's Father across the check "You dare speak to the emissary of the Lord that Way"

"I humbly apologize" Kale's Father bowed down.

"You must have a better sword by Wednesday or face the consequences, In fact..." he said glancing over. "How about we take this boy as collateral, if the sword isn't forged by Wednesday then he dies,"

Today was Monday. Forging a short sword of low quality would take a day and a full sword two. The quality they wanted however would take a week to make. knowing this Kale's father realized the only way for Kale to live was to have him run away. He grabbed a sword and attacked the emissary of the Lord.

"Run Kale, they will kill you if you don't. Leave town and run I'll hold them off."

And that was the last sentence kale heard from his father.
