"Can't you even smile?" The girl said then sniggered with her friends infront of her. "Can't you even brush your teeth?" Sweven sighed as he served their order which is three Iced americano and a donut."Brush my teeth?! Are you---" The girl was irritated but Sweven cutted her words, "I was wrong you better wash your mouth than brush your teeth" after that he immediately left.
"OMG! Girl his totally telling the truth!" The girl's friend with curly blonde hair said while the tan short hair said "What's your toothpaste? I been wanting to asked you earlier".
After hours of working Sweven finished his shift, change to his clothes, locked his locker and was about to go home when Frost called him "Sweven!". He came closer to him then pat his right shoulder, "I didn't get the chance to talk to you during lunch cuz you knew I'm busy calling my girlfriend".
"Jackson Frost Gregory I knew" Sweven replied while he remove Frost's hand on his shoulder. "We're still bestfriends right?" Jackson asked with a bit of hesitation.
"You're guilty because you said something about me to your mother right?" Sweven asked back.
"Maybe but my mother is a good person and really
care---"
"I knew, we're also still bestfriend"
"Yeah but you also knew that girlfriend comes first before bestfriend right?!" Jackson honestly chuckled.
"Don't fight with your mother, Simple problems can be solve by talking and understanding with each other without getting mad" Sweven left an advive as he open the door.
"I won't but I'am not really trying to be white she's the one trying to be french!" Jackson blurted out of nowhere.
He then walked out from the cafe took a deep breathe and muttered "Thus two aren't trying to be French or white, they trying to be close with each other". Sweven rode his bike and slowly peddled while something caught his attention; he gazes at the sky. The sunset was about to begin in any minute, reminding him a scene on his way home.
The cold breeze of the air felt joy, the lights that are blinking in the street seems familiar and the bridge he always crossed through was unusual. Sweven stopped from bicycling in the middle of the bridge and thought something was off until one voice shouted at him, he then looked behind and saw a girl running towards him.
He just stared at the girl when she confidently ride the bike with him. "Hey tall guy! You need to peddle now" The girl command him who is much more younger than him.
Sweven obey her without thinking when he saw the men in suit running towards them and shouting at the girl. He hurriedly peddled along with the girl whose hands are wrap around his waist. Instead of going to the left road, to go home Sweven drove the bike to the right and stop infront of the greenhouse.
"Some of them are driving cars and motor, they are going to catch me if they saw me!" The girl uttered as Sweven look around and pull her over inside the greenhouse. They went behind the vegetables then sat down to hide while the sunset begins. Sweven couldn't see the sunset from outside but he could see it's fading light reflecting through the window.
Sweven loved the sunset as he grew he realized that he is all along fascinated and captivated because of it's picturesque beauty. "Ineffable indeed" Sweven muttered, staring on the light until it faded away while the girl is busy peeking whether the men in suit followed them and clearly they are now inside the greenhouse too, seeking for her.
"Tall guy their here?" She whispered which made Sweven back to his sense causing him, to gaze at one man who was about to go into their direction. He pull the girl's arm again to hide in another place which is behind the fruits.
"The Lady is not here. We should look outside before the boss find out" One of the men said and so on everybody agreed then left, after that Sweven and the girl stand up and looked at each other.
Sweven felt comfort when the girl with long blonde curly hair, fair skin, incardine lips and electric blue eyes with black tint on the outline smiled. She seems familiar but when did I saw her, Sweven had in mind.
The girl wanted to talk more to the man infront of her, Sweven unexpectedly looked at her so she smiled but in seconds Sweven then just step away from her.
But she immediately caught his hand and tried to pull him over on her direction but she just couldn't because of Sweven's strength that's why he remains on the same spot his standing on.
"Wait! are you leaving me behind here?!" The girl confronted him.
"You don't need me anymore" Sweven answered removing the girls hand into his hand.
"I thought you're actually mute because you won't say a word earlier but I'm here to tell you that----you! Have to take responsibility of me" She confidenty said.
"Why would I?" He asked but Linsey couldn't careless about that so she continued, "What's your name?". Sweven then tell her his name as Linsey responce: "Sweven...I'm Linsey; Now we're not strangers anymore!" She quickly grab Sweven's hand and they had a handshake.
"How old are you?" He let go of her hand. "Sixteen that is why you have to stay with me until I wanted to go home" She blurted out.
"You're a run away?" I thought the men whose following her are loan sharks but I guess I was too old fashion for thinking that way, I don't even know if loan sharks still exist in 2022, Sweven thinking in conclusion.
"A big NO. I just wanted to have walked outside at night"
"You're probably one of the rich families so it must be dangerous for me----not you"
"Just for tonight can you be with me?" She pleaded instantly
mading up Sweven's mind to agreed. "Then let's go back to the bridge" She insisted and pull Sweven's hand very tightly so he just go along with her while something crossed Sweven's mind, "My bike I have to get it" He said which Linsey heard.
He then find his bike on the bushes outside the greenhouse, "It is on the right bush, infront of you" Linsey immediately told him the direction that is why he got it and walked along with Lher to the bridge.
Sweven then kept looking at Linsey while holding onto his bike because she is not just like others, she is mysterious and childish.
" Enjoy the sky tonight, like what you did earlier looking at the sunset" She stared at the moon and stars as well as Sweven who muttered "I don't really like the night".
"How tall are you?" She asked out of nowhere to him.
"I guess 189 centimeter"
"You're really tall. By the way you wouldn't asked so I'm gonna tell you I'm 162 centimeter but it feels like I can touch the sky anytime when I look at it" She raised her hand to kind of interpreted what she meant. "I guess I can touch the sky more than you" Sweven blurted out on his mind.
"Huh what's up with that?! Are you teasing me about my height?" She uttered with a big smile on her face. "I bend forward a bit when I talked to you" Sweven looked at her.
"That's so funny!!! You're such a joker!" Linsey whose not laughing suddenly hit Sweven's shoulder whom was startled because of it, "You're beyond crazy!".
"I was just joking!"
Then they arrived onto the bridge rock over the pond with full of hyacinths and lilies; the surroundings are filled of plant and trees that are truly captivating that can calm their souls.
Sweven somehow felt like an old man who found tranquillity at once or maybe just for now while Linsey somehow felt like her old self, the tiny little princess on top of the castle with her dear mother and father looking at the stars with no worries.
"Did you find the libra?" She asked.
The zodiac sign?" Sweven reassured.
"I meant the constellation"
"No, can you point it out?" He insisted as he looked at the sky. Linsey respond by pointing her index finger up into the sky and informed, "Libra is latin for weighing scale which why that constellation is named after that and also in greek mythology, Libra is the scaled held by Astraea that represents justice".
They both then leaned on the side of the bridge, "You forgot to mention that it's the only constellation of the ZODIAC representing an inanimate object" Sweven added as Linsey put down her hands right into her waist and face him.
To be continued.
