"So why do I need to point my fingers just for a man like you? You knew where the constellation is but you didn't even tell me" She whimpered as Sweven just stay silent, appreciating the dazzling beauty of the stars.
"A tall guy with a gloomy face and thug or gangster vibes can be mesmerized huh!" His sudden change of mood causes Linsey to smirked, acting like a boss which made Sweven to reply on her words, "I still don't like the night, it reminds me of everything and what's with the sudden change of mood?".
"GIRLS are like this so you won't understand" She proudly said but deep down on her mind, she's thinking why does he suddenly change the topic, is he scared of something? while Sweven totally understood Linsey's sentence because he been living with girls since birth.
"You better go home aren't you sleepy?"
"Give me your number then" Linsey uttered handing her palm. "I'll give you my number but you should go home" Sweven bring out his phone immediately. "Deal!" She agreed as Sweven gave his number without thinking. They then part ways slowly from each other on the bridge, counting steps on there way home.
Sweven's home is located outside the city, a second story american house with a touch of French design. They inherit the house from his grandma when she passed away several years ago. Sweven then unexpectedly saw his mother still working on some documents on the dining room. He came closer, kiss her cheeks and look at her with a smile while his mother bring out a contempt face and it is a bad sign for him.
"What happened?" She asked her everyday question right into his son's face. "The usual, I work overtime in the weekends" He replied then gazes at the stair. "But you're SOME hours late" She said as she went back to typing. "I bumped to a girl and just help her find her way home" Sweven pointed back. "If you say so" His mother replied, after that Sweven went away and step on the stair.
His mother would always worry for him, she is scared that there might something bad that will happen to his son again and she didn't want more traumas for Sweven. She wanted to tell him that no matter what happened, you will always be talented so if you want to paint again, paint but before she could ever talk about it, Sweven would always say "It's not that Mom".
ON THE NEXT DAY
Sweven woke up in the morning, bath, change his clothes and went down stairs to the kitchen, "Do you need some help?".
His Mom immediately shooked her head in response as she put down the four plate of savoury buckwheat pancake on the table. "What about Claire?" Sweven asked his Mom but Belle, Claire's daughter replied instead "She is still asleep".
"Well that explains why" Sweven gave Belle a quizzical look while she's putting more maple syrup on the pancake. "Belle too much is bad!" Her grandma warned whose beside Belle Ame and Reverie, Sweven's second older sister: "She is the oldest but why is she like that?!".
After saying that, Claire then unexpectedly entered the kitchen, knitting some mittens for some reason and everyone was shocked because of it. "Granny it's not Christmas yet" Reverie jokingly said, putting down her coffee.
"Well it's getting colder you see" Claire mockingly replied and sat down on the chair. "Why won't you guys mind your own business and stop arguing every morning" Their mother scolded them as she gave Claire a cup of tea. "Well...Mom, Reverie's the one who started it" Claire blamed Reverie: You telling nonsense makes me cringe all the time".
Claire annoyingly fights back as she stopped knitting the mittens while Sweven who couldn't careless is microwaving the left turkey last night and Belle is eating like she is totally used to her Mom and Aunt.
What are your problems? Reverie stop spouting things jokingly. "You guys are not children anymore but as long as you live here, You will follow my rules and that is not having a fight anywhere in this house!" Their mother angrily scolded them in the middle of the morning. "To the dining room right now!!" She added then left the table, Reverie and Claire quickly followed her.
"Mom I think that's not appropriate for grown-up" Sweven's opinion to his mother. "Age doesn't matter Sweven. I thought you're smart you should know that" His mother replied, staring at her two daughters, Claire and Reverie, they are cutting each other's toenails while saying the curse word "I love you" when they are just mad at each other.
"I....love....you" Reverie cutted Claire's one nail then Claire uttered back "I love you too", cutting Reverie's one nail. After Belle finished eating she came into the dining room and asked Sweven, "Uncle If I done something bad will I do that?".
"Probably" Sweven honestly answered.
"Don't worry, you won't do this baby" Claire to Belle while her Mother glared at her interpreting get back to your doing.
Sweven stand up, hug his mother tightly by interpreting goodbye then kiss her cheeks interpreting see you later as he left without a word again. "So Sweven still do that that goodbye and see you later thing when we are kids" Reverie said to lightened the mood of her mother who is obviously worried for Sweven.
"Well you always left home...Belle turn on the television right now" Their mother ordered so Belle turned on the television.
On the other hand Sweven arrived at his university, park his bicycle and went into the campus where you will usually see the vulnerable people in college such as kissing outside, fighting, bullying and friendships that never last long.
"Hey yo loser whatcha looking at!" The man shouted at Sweven who obviously belongs to the group of vulnerable people. Sweven snobbed him because his a waste of time but after the man said "Hey! F*ck you bruh!".
He turn around to see him while putting up his middle finger right into the man's direction who is shouting Sweven then quickly went off.
Sweven was called a introvert in their class because of his undeniable behavior everyday where he just sat down at the back, away from everyone and just peacefully listen to the professors, taking notes of the lesson. He eats alone in the cafeteria too and appreciated sunlight until the end of the class.
The people don't really like Sweven's gloomy face and the rumors going around him that's why Sweven sisters always reminded him that he has to sleep atleast eight hours at night but he just couldn't because of his dreams. The class just ended as Sweven left the classroom, his classmate named Thylane saw him and run towards him shouting his name.
"Sweven Sucré Debussy! Mr. Debussy!"
Sweven turned infront of her and she was flustered because of the close distance between them, it's the first time too she got in close to Sweven since senior highschool.
"Oh! Uhmm...Do you want to join my group?".
Sweven stared at her "Why so?"
"I seem to just notice that you don't have a group yet in the upcoming project and I really wanna be with you----I mean be your group mate so since we basically know each other---". Sweven didn't let her finish her sentence and said "What's with the rush talk? But nevermind I can join your group if your co-members agreed".
"They did! They are okay!" She replied.
"Okay" He then step back to leave but the girl's hand stopped him from going anywhere by holding his arm. "Are you really sure? Because I thought you might be uncomfortable because you're an introvert right?" She asked as Sweven quickly shrugged off the girl's hand onto his arm.
"Do you really want me to join in the group or state bluffs in front of me?" Sweven asked as if he was confused by the girl's attitude. "Yes! I want you to join in the group and no for your other question" She replied happily.
"What's your name again?" Sweven asked so that he can know what group he is in. "Thylane" She simply said as she fix her hair but when she suddenly looks infront Sweven is now walking away from her.
Thylane is just a simple girl with brown hair and hazel eyes who had past trauma's and was associated in Sweven's life.
It was exactly years ago when they met in senior high, they were classmates and was outcasted from the class. Thylane Dalia Capaldi always find Sweven the same as her...so he was basically a acquaintance to her. Back then Thylane was physically abused by his father.
She would walked in the classroom with long sleeves and long socks covering her wounds and pain as her classmates looked at her with their pityful eyes while Sweven just sat at the back until he changes his mind out of pity.
