I woke up with an intense headache in a sick room. I sat up dizzily. "Are you okay?" A boy that appeared to be my age asked. " I am so sorry for bumping into you earlier. I was talking with my boyfriend on the phone and I turned around and there you were."He said. Looking at me worriedly. I could tell that he felt really bad about it. "No apologies necessary," I said. " I've been in tougher scrapes than this."
{4 years ago, I was in the car with my dad when a drunk driver T-Boned us. I survived, but my dad wasn't so lucky...}
"I have completely forgotten my manners, haven't I?" He asked, while Looking at me with his bright grey eyes. " My name is Silas, what's yours?" "I'm Quinn," I said. " Nice to meet you. Would you happen to know where Mr. Bordeaux's classroom is?" I asked. " Yeah I do," he said. "I'm actually on my way there right now. Do you want to join me?" He asked. "Sure," I said.
As we walked to class, I quickly became friends with Silas. I discovered that his boyfriend decided to become an exchange student this summer in Austria, so he was kind of lonely.
When we got to the class, My biology teacher, Mr. Bordeaux looked over at us. " Mr. Adams," Hé said. "You better have a wonderful excuse for being tardy." He said. " Ummmm... I accidentally knocked over Quinn, and she passed out, so I took her to the nurse's office." He nervously replied. " Who is Quinn?" Mr. Bordeaux questioned. " That's me," I said quietly from behind Silas, earning a lot of stares from the class. "
"Ah, Miss Hamilton, they told me you would be arriving today. You can come and sit by Chelsea." He said without any hint of the strictness that I had seen him use with Silas earlier. I walked over and sat by the girl who I assumed was Chelsea. She had long red hair and brown eyes.
"Stay away from my ex-boyfriend." She said, without looking at me. " I hate to break it to you but I think that Silas is very happy with his boyfriend," I said, playing her game and not looking at her. "No." She rolled her eyes at me. " Mitchell." " Should I know who that is?" I asked her. "Never mind," she said.
For the rest of the class hour, we sat in awkward silence, until the bell rang to send us to our second-period classes.
