That was a weird dream I had last night. I said to myself, as I lazily sat up in my bed. It felt so real. I must be going crazy. I thought as I dragged myself from my warm bed, and got dressed.
As I walked downstairs to make breakfast, I noticed my mom sitting on the couch, just staring at the wall. "Are you alright?" I asked her. She just turned to look at me and nodded absentmindedly.
After that, she returned to staring at the wall. My mom was never the same person after my dad's accident. My sister doesn't even remember him.
She was only 2 when a drunk driver hit us going the wrong way on a 2 Lane road. Since I was sitting in the backseat, I didn't die, but I hit my head, and I don't remember anything within a month of the accident.
Sometimes I wonder if she blames me for his death. I don't blame her. If I had discovered my powers 4 years ago, my dad would still be alive. I think that I am going to trust Mitchell and his strange cult.
I wonder if my dad was the one with the gene that was passed on to me. He had been acting strangely in the months leading up to his death, and I wonder if that had anything to do with my powers.
After I served my mother, I went upstairs to make sure that Sara was getting ready. I found her in her room almost ready, and I brought Sara her backpack.
Later...
After I got to school, I heard my name being called to go to the office, so I walked to the office. They wanted me to go and talk to a counselor. I nervously sat in the waiting room, until it was my turn to go in.
When I walked in, the counselor introduced himself as Mr. Thermopp. He guided me towards a bookshelf and he grabbed a book, that opened the wall up, to reveal a secret passageway. "They are meeting downstairs, and they requested that you join them." He said. He looked like he knew about my powers.
"Thanks?" I asked, confused about why they needed me. I ventured into a cold, well-lit, stone tunnel that went 20 feet, then it descended into a stone staircase.
I followed the staircase and it led into a giant cavern that appeared to be a training room.
Mitchell walked up to me and asked: "Are you ready to train?"
