Lunch.....
Finally, after 3 hours of absolute torture, it was lunchtime. You would think that lunch would be my least favorite time of the day since it was bound to be a time of staring, whispering, and mocking, but I love lunch. It brings a nice break from the stress of classes.
I got in line to get my food, and as I was leaving the line, I got tripped, and all of my food landed on my face, and in my hair. {Lucky me...-Insert sarcastic eye roll here-}
After I wiped the apple sauce off my eyes, I looked up to find a smirking Chelsea, who responded with a sarcastic: "Oops, It looks like somebody tripped over an apple. You've got a little something all over your face." She mercilessly laughed and muttered loud enough for only me to hear, "That's what you get for lying to me."
After her comment, the earth started to shake-which wiped the smirk right off her face. She looked kind of scared. She stared at me with fear in her eyes and yelled. "Take cover!"
I got under a table and tried to calm down as the earthquake slowed. Luckily, the earthquake only lasted for a few minutes and everyone else in the cafeteria went back to eating.
I walked down the hall to the girl's bathroom and tried to wash mashed potatoes out of my hair. There was a knock on the bathroom door and Silas poked his head in. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Chelsea was brutal in there. I have never seen her hate someone so much before." I looked at him and sighed. " She thinks I'm into her ex-who I've never even met. I think that chick needs to dial down the psycho." I said.
He helped me get all the food off my head, and walked me to my car, so I could change into an extra pair of clothes. "I have someone I want to introduce you to after school," He said. "Can you meet me by my locker? It is number 504." I smiled. "Sure, I'll be there, as long as it doesn't take very long. I have to pick up my sister at 4." {My school ends at 3:30.}He looked at me and said. " It won't take very long, Q, I promise." I laughed. "Thanks for the nickname. I love it! See ya later!" "Bye." He said.
I walked to class and pondered the day ahead...
