Chapter 6 - Evil Always has bad luck.

As Jack set out to the Kingdom of Science, Gar was left to do the dirty work. "Goblins! Line up!" Gar yelled. "Today we get this tower spotless! I don't want a spec of dirt anywhere and I want all this filthy trash taken out, now get to it you blistering baboons!!" The goblins were handed brooms and brushes and immediately got to work. That is until one accidentally bumped another one and an all-out brawl happened... in Jack's room no less, damaging more than any amount of cleaning could help. "This is what happens when you have more bodies than brain cells.", Gar thought. "I'm headed to the arena, no more breaking things half-wits!", Gar shouted as leaving the room.

Gar was walking down the stone steps of the tall obsidian tower, when he passed by the armory room. This room stored all the gear picked up from fallen soldiers. The arch way was lit by two torches flickering from the draft in the tower. As he was passing, he suddenly heard several loud booms from within. Gar cautiously opened the door, for one must never underestimate what in kept within Jack's fortress. As he peaked his head through the door, black powder was suddenly blasted onto his face which instantly ignited creating a small explosion on his face. Gar was thrown onto his back by the force of the small blast. As Gar stood back up, the other goblins in the armory were laughing and pointing at him. "Ha-ha! Gar go boom!", the goblins shouted and laughed. Gar was so furious that when he wiped the black soot off his body from the explosion with the trousers of a fallen prince, his body was bright red with trembling anger rather than the putrid green he had boasted since his creation. Gar slowly walked into the room and the goblins slowly got quiet. Gar dipped his hand into the powder and started launching handfuls everywhere. Goblins were running in terror. "Gar gone mad!", they screamed, running out into the halls of the tower deep into the caverns. After all the other goblins had left, Gar slowly turned back into a shade of green.

"Nothing like blasting a few brainless chimps for fun", he said as he continued his walk to the arena. He arrived at the front as usual to start the battles and another long line of challengers hoping to claim the gold was there just like clockwork.  "Let the fights commence!", Gar yelled. Slaying the challengers began like normal and everything continued without a hitch in the plan until the last fight of the day. Gar warned the goblins in the arena to play this one safe as he could sense she was a magic user. Well, as goblins normally do, they run headfirst with very little caution. The mysterious magic using woman waved her hand and suddenly every goblin was frozen solid. She was the first one to advance past the first round in quite some time. The tunnels began to shake and Violet stepped forward to challenge the lady. The magic user looked astonished by Violet as she was flexing from across the arena.

"From one lady to another let's see who's feminine beauty shines brighter shall we?" Violet said.

"Lady?", the magic user questioned.

Irritated by the remark, Violet lunged forward with great speed but was quickly greeted by a wall of ice between her and the magic user. Violet with one thrust of her fist shattered the wall between them but in that instant the magic user turned the entire floor to ice. Violet, with her hoofed feet, was unable to move very well on the ice. Suddenly, the ice under her started to shake and a pillar of ice engulfed her. Violet was now frozen solid in the ice. The lady looked over at Gar who was currently wide eyed and motioned for him to come over to her.

"Where is Jack?", she demanded to know.

"Umm… he just left this morning. He should be back in around a week or so, what do you want with him?", Gar asked.

"I have unfinished business with him, so it looks like I'll be sticking around until then.", she said.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, wench.", Gar said.

Her eyebrows rose and a smile crossed her face at the brazen goblins comment to her. She slowly bent down to his level and said, "Aww, and who's gonna stop me? Also, the name is Eva." Then she froze him in an instant in a permafrost like Violet's. Eva patted his head as she made her way up to the tower, as she passed, she told all the creatures in the tunnel they worked for her now. As she became familiar with the tower and the caverns, she created a massive blizzard outside. The freezing temperatures caused the caverns to freeze from the inside as well. Luckily, the goblins all had winter clothes thanks to all the arena battles and extra fabric worn by fallen warriors. The only commands she made were to make her an extravagant living quarters inside the cavern and that she'd be waiting in Jack's quarters until he got back. She waited the entire week, messing with the goblins occasionally as she made them hang Gar up in his frozen prison like a stone picture frame. Suddenly she felt a presence she was all too familiar with. She made the blizzard roar as she watched a massive flying city get close to the now frozen dark tower. She leaped out of the window of Jack's room and flew straight toward the ship. Jack was finally home.
