Chapter 10 - Evil saves people?

"With the city being on a river, it should be quite easy to capture geographically speaking." Violet said.

They were now sitting in a courtyard outside the Trog king's palace. It was lit with the most beautiful luminist flowering plants that filled the air with a pleasing aroma.

"I forgot to mention, it was our original home before we were banished here, so we know every corner of it." The Trog king said.

"We'll then you must know some secret way in?" Violet assumed.

"Well er… No. But the river is gentle and slow moving. It should be easy enough to swim across to reach the docks." He calculated.

"Hmm.. we'll set up a pinch attack from land and sea then. We'll charge straight through the front gates, swim up through the docks, free any Trog slaves along the way, and we'll take out the people in charge!" Violet said, now beaming with pride over her battle strategy.

The Trog king leaned into his most trusted generals and began mummering to one another to discuss the strategy. The Orc generals were nodding and grunting their approval amongst themselves. It didn't take long before everyone began to agree that this strategy had the highest chance at producing a successful mission.

"There is only one problem though, their generals are no laughing matter. We fought one of them once and didn't land even a scratch. You're powerful. You might be able to take one, but not both, even with our help." The Trog king said.

The next few hours were spent debating the best way to handle taking on the two notorious generals. They determined that if they were to be successful, they needed more information to go on. Violet prodded for all the details from their experiences with the humans from the beginning. She found out that the humans stumbled upon the Trog mega village by chance. The humans only stayed long enough to apologize for their intrusion before leaving peacefully. Several months later, they returned with an army. They said the location was too perfect to pass up. It was the perfect spot to place a human port city. It's strategic location on the river would make them tons of money. Any Trogs unwilling to leave their beloved homeland peaceably were slain on the spot. The Trogs spent the next few months in exile, wandering the harsh wilderness searching for a new place they could call home. Their journey was rough. Many fell ill and died. The weak who fell behind were recaptured by the humans who determined there was more profit to be gained by free labor to build their new city and a new slave trade market. The Trogs had found this cave system by chance, also seeking shelter from a terrible storm much like the one that was raging outside. In it, they finally found a home they could be proud of once more, to foster and care for. They were finally able to start fresh from the worries of being nomadic. But the hearts of the wicked were always watching them. The humans continued to set up traps to capture any Trog who would venture out. They would be captured, tortured, and sold to the highest bidder. Sometimes it was collectors of exotic monsters and creatures. Most of the time, it was the very group of treacherous humans that stole their beloved homeland.

" And the large husky general would just laugh and say, 'Hahaha!! You should be happy and grovel at my feet for the kindness I've shown you' after buying our people and not killing them." the Trong king retold. "Kindness to that man was in the form of corruption. His corruption was built on the foundation that he believes can not be taken out."

The king confessed that the Trogs had hoped to be rid of this evil curse of human presence by selling the orc army to them in hopes of getting their people back. The final worry for the Trog people, was their missing queen-to-be, the princess. She was captured in the first wave of attack on their people. She was so concerned with helping and saving her people during the attack, that she had little caution for herself and her own well-being. That was the last time she was seen.

The fire grew dim in the dampened, dark cave's terrace garden where they gathered one last time.

"I never thought I'd meet such admirable people in this cave full of all our defeats." The king said.

"I know anyone in my position would've done the same." Violet replied. "The greed in men is a disgusting nature, you should grow strong to protect those who cannot protect themselves, not exploit them." She continued.

"I just hope the Princess is okay." The Trog king said with a blank, forlorn expression.

"We'll find her and do our best to rescue her." Violet said, smiling as big as she could to help encourage the king.

"How is someone claiming to be evil, acting so kind to someone who was your enemy moments ago?" The Trog king asked, baffled.

Violet stood up, "Evil is not about doing bad deeds to hurt others. Just like darkness is cast from light, evil is cast from the light". She turned to walk away.

"What does that even mean?" The King asked.

"I dunno. Our leader says it a lot, but what I take from it is that life is balance between two great forces and it is up to you to do what you feel is right, no matter which force you exist in." Violet said before leaping away. "I'll see you when the plan is in motion!" She yelled.

The orc army and Violet busted out of the tiny entrance with great speed and caused the ground near them to rumble. Just like clockwork, a little man popped out from the shadows.

"What's this, Orcs?! Have you dear babies been hiding in there this whole time?" The little man said. "Well, I'm going to need you to come with me. You'll fetch a pretty penny from Murloc!" He continued.

As he finished his sentence, he chuckled so hard he started coughing up a storm. Violet jumped and landed right next to him.

"m...mm...mmm..min..." The little man said, trembling.

"Minotaur!" she roared, finishing his sentence."You're the slave trader?" She said.

The little man was shaking his head up and down so fast he could start a fire.

"Umm, y..yes. If that's a problem I can stop." He said.

"Oh, you will be stopped! Where is this Murloc guy? In the port city?" Violet asked.

"Yes! He would be very mad if you hurt me, you must know of his might, so I wouldn't hurt me if I were you. He is just north of this mountain range, it wouldn't take long to…. Ughh!" He said proudly before being lifted off the ground. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?" He demanded in a scream.

As the orcs went over to his caravan full of cages to find shackles for the little man, Violet noticed bright bule scales in the cages belonging to the Trogs. Trembling with anger, Violet tied him up.

"You'll regret this, He'll come for you!" he muttered before being tied down.

Violet attached a letter to the tiny man. She grabbed a rope, bound his hands, and began to swing him above her head like a lasso. Right before she tossed him, the gag on his mouth came undone only to release an ear piercing screech.

"Ugh!! That should do it." Violet said.

The screech could be heard echoing throughout the entire mountain range. As for the little slave trader soaring through the air, he found himself hurling straight for the main hall of the port town. He smashed straight through the window, wrecking all of the tables inside as he came to a stop where the two generals were currently eating.

"What is this!? My meal has been ruined! Girl! Bring me some more, hurry!" Murloc raged, slapping the Princess to the floor.

"It seems we'll be entertaining guests soon, Murloc." The hooded general said as he refolded the note from he took from the little man's chest.

"Let them come, my mood has been ruined." Murloc muttered.
