-The month of Wynnethel, the 1st, year ATC 3,527-
Heiracles spent the next several hours continuing to quietly check on his nine other siblings rooms, hoping for a difference but coming to realize, being one of his father's youngest children that, apart from the few that had passed from old age or fending off the wildlife when we were initially Banished to the hellscape that is The South, all of his siblings had been poisoned..
Kneeling beside his least favorite brother, Gemoran's, bed, his forehead pressed against the edge of his mattress, then finally a mutter was heard, "Father, is this your doing, have you finally gone overboard.. ?", could be heard uttered almost imperceptibly from his lips. As he looks up, out of the conjoining balcony(since all of the bedrooms for he and his siblings had more or less the same layout. Small renovations, minor changes to the layout of furnitures), as his own rooms his glowing irises shown fiercely.
Wiping away tears he hadn't entirely realized that had started to fall, watching again and again the reality of his current situation. "I will get to the bottom of this, but it had already been much too much time. I must return and fetch Ila, Andromedy and quickly get out before the situation here gets any worse.. "
Saying these words, his mind started to wander into the realms of what would be needed to get out and survive the wilderness for any length of time beyond the very first step, for the fauna themselves will eat you alive before you've realized that a bite of flesh is even missing, in the South. Once they were able to pass through The Border and it's mountainous range all the length of the Ring itself and reach the North they should be fine. From beasts..
As he made his way back towards his own chambers it took him almost twice as long as it normally would, for he started to see Dark Duon passing in pairs along the Royal halls, having to pause so that they did not sense or hear his presence while invisible, feeling that this would not be beneficial to him in the slightest. He slowly came up with his plan of both vengeance for his siblings being wronged so and finding out the truth, not caring so much as to the reasoning behind it, simply that he wished to properly punish those truly responsible.
His determination setting in, he made the decision resolutely in his heart, no matter what. Whomever it is, will pay. This happened before reaching his rooms, and as he did he saw two of these Dark Duons directly outside his foyer doorway, only a moments worth of hesitation entered him, watching these two open up and enter his apartments, he wants for about 10 minutes before remembering that his dressing room was not, technically, without life in it.. He silently followed them inside the foyer door quietly.
Not seeing them in the foyer nor hearing them attempt to announce themselves, but hear muffled voices coming from the bedchamber, he silently moved to enter into his former sleeping chambers, quietly opening the door he created the pattern for a barrier of Air around the bedchamber to watch them and end them if he didn't like what he would see. His earlier instincts seemed to be proving themselves correct..
As he moves into the bedchamber he hears the ending of what one was saying to the other, "and go check the latrine."
He then heard the one spoken to whispering back to the other, "He was married, yea? I only see one body in bed..", the first Dark Duon starts to say before being interrupted by the second,
"Then you should hurry to check the latrine, I'll check the closet. His Majesty said none of his kin were to wake from this night", the second Dark Duon said as he turned towards the walk-in closet.
The first replies, "Yes s-", hearing a gurgle, now, behind him he turns back to see his comrade fall to his knees, headless, before falling over backwards and a smaller figure beside him. Before he could even react by trying to unsheathe his sword to slice open this shadowed figure he felt an incredible pain in the wrist that went to grab his weapon, looking down at it he could now see the said hand upon the ground, blood spurting from the stump. Stumbling backwards in shock became falling onto his back ad he felt that same similar pain in both kneecaps. He tried to start to pull himself away from the figure in fear before suddenly feeling a ring of rock from the floor forming around his neck, pushing him back towards the shadowed figure at an angle, slowly when his face was level with that of the figure, only then did he realize that the person before him was whom he assumed it must be, Prince Abaddon.
"You're going to tell me everything that you know. Now." Abaddons eyes shimmered in the near darkness, saying these words the Dark Duon could see the deathly coldness in the Prince's eyes.

I want to dedicate a section of each chapter to the love of my life, Kreation. For supporting my dream and urging me forward on my desires to finally 'put pen to paper', so to speak by writing out my book for you all to read, thank you so much for the support and love. 🥰
