He heard voices coming from the mountains. He didn't know how.
Perhaps they were carried over by the wind? Or perhaps, he just heard things?
But it was not a voice that he wanted to hear.
Making his way to the mountains he saw something that made his blood run cold.
Ambulances and police.
Why? Why did things turn out this way? Why did that woman take his brother? Why did he listen to her confession?
Without him even fully realising it he was already in the lake. Heading towards the officers who were pulling Perla's body out of the water.
"Stop!" Enrico yelled as he got closer, emotion taking over.
"I said stop you idiots! That's my sister!" He yelled.
The officers were about to chew him out as he grabbed her body out of their hand. Only to look directly into his eyes.
Yellow eyes burned with a hatred. A hatred that none of them wanted to take upon themselves.
'Shit! Shit! This wasn't what I wanted! If God does exist then why did he allow this? Does the memory of my sister need to be tarnished? And by a man like that! She didn't do anything wrong damnit.'
As Enrico's mind was in disarray. Rage clouded his judgement. He heard a voice. Not the one from that strange entity but from the man who gave him the arrow.
"Do you believe in `gravity`? That there might be a reason why you tripped over me, of all people?"
Enrico quickly looked behind him to find no one, not even the officers who were now on the shoreline some were staying to wait for him as the others left.
"W-what was that? Am I seeing things? Is my mind playing tricks on me?" Enrico said. His heartbeat beat faster and faster as he started to sweat.
"W-why did I hear his voice? Why do I suddenly want to see Dio?" Enrico said holding his head.
"Wait... I recognise that name wasn't he-" Before he could complete his train of thought he felt the arrowhead start shaking in his pocket.
Switching arms so that Perla was now in his left arm, he pulled out the arrowhead. Since he still needed to hold her, Perla's body was in between his body and his right arm.
The moment after he brought it out, the arrowhead immediately shot through his sister towards his head.
A scarlet arm immediately shot out from his body, grabbing the arrow before it stabbed him.
However, the arrow started to cut into its hand. Cuts also appeared on Enrico's right hand at the same time.
The sudden pain caused him to lose focus on the arrow for a split second which seemed to mirror in the hand when it stopped for a second. This, in turn, allowed the arrow to break out of the arm's grasp and stab right through his neck.
The pain he was feeling was completely different from before. It felt like his blood was boiling, his bones were being broken and rebuilt.
"A life can never be regained... but, if you wish... If you want it badly enough, you must wish for it. So I ask, what do you wish for?" The voice of Dio said.
"I-i want to p-preserve the memory of my sister. T-to take what those bastards to-took from me. To take what th-he world took from me." He barely managed to say. Anger and hatred present in his voice.
A small cut appeared on Perla's head. It swiftly opened up as a silver disc emerged.
Enrico was just able to see this before the loss of blood knocked him unconscious.
Unknown to anyone Wes, who was still alive, had also somehow incurred the same injuries as Enrico. A faint golden light could be seen in his neck where the injury appeared. The arrow in Enrico's neck being the cause of this.
Whether by Enrico's will or by Wes's, perhaps both. Whatever the case, the arrow had responded in kind. Giving them what they wanted. The power to get revenge for what took place. But on very different people.
