As I have his sword blocked, I feel this dark power getting stronger. Soon the dark energy starts to manifest physically and I reach out and swing at the boss. It wasn't my hand hitting him but the dark power hitting him. I feel like I have more power and speed. Before the boss got up I hit him with another Reaper Slash this time more powerful and sending him flying. In the dust, I could see him getting up again. All of a sudden I see another skill I didn't have before this started. I put my scythe away and started to gather all the dark energy I had in-between my hands. The dark energy was so strong it started arcing everywhere. When I had thought it was enough I hurled it at the boss. The dark energy arcing everywhere along the way and when it finally hit him it exploded into an orb of pure darkness.
Once the dust settled I could see the boss was defeated. I rushed back over to Jin to see if he was still alive. He was barely breathing so I grabbed a teleport stone out of my bag and quickly teleported us back to our house. When we got there the Demonic power was still active which meant I still had these huge wings which were hitting everything in the house. So I layed Jin down on the bed as I went and set down to wait for my body to go back to normal.
I woke up the next day to the sun in my face and Jin laying next to me. I kissed his forehead and waited for him to wake up as I just lay there with him in my arms. A few more hours passed and Jin finally awakes confused. As I start recalling what happened the day before in the dungeon he starts getting a worried look on his face. He started to question where I got my Demonic powers from and I told him I wasn't sure. They just manifested themselves when I got as angry as I did. I told him he had nothing to worry about and that I would make sure to protect him.
Not knowing if I would be able to use these powers again I started training harder just in case it happens again I can control it better. I didn't want to worry Jin about the fact that my new powers wore me out so much. If there were more enemies at the time I don't know if we would have made it out alive. The thought of both of us dying here wasn't something that I wanted to repeat. Normally if you died in a game you would just reload or continue from a previous save point but if we die here though we die in real life.
Jin decided it was time to get the day started so he made us breakfast which I loved and we both made our way back to town. Upon arriving we saw the other teams that were waiting outside the dungeon yesterday. I asked if they were alright and if they tried the dungeon again but they said they gave up on it. We needed to turn in our quest but at the same time, we didn't want other players knowing that we beat that dungeon.
After we turned in the quest we made our way to an open area to do some training. We were now level 60 and ranked among the top players in the game which was not something I wanted to boast about. I gave Jin the mission reward from the boss which enhanced his abilities greatly and seeing the smile on his face was great. I wondered though if I would be able to use these new powers without something like before happening.
As we were done for the day a group of players was approaching us. They were the captains from the top guilds so I was wondering what they wanted from us. Every one of them wanted us both for their guild. Being overwhelmed and blind-sided we both told them that we would have to think it over. We made our way back home to relax. I started myself a bath since it felt like my muscles we all shredded and as I lay there Jin comes peaking his head in asking if he could join me. Without hesitating I said yes. He stripped out of his clothes, walked over to the bath, and slowly got in next to me. We just relaxed there together for probably an hour or so before getting out. I looked over to Jin and told him that hopefully, we can do this every night together. He looks at me smiling and said I would love that baby.
After our relaxing bath together we both made dinner and started discussing what we were going to do about the guild captains offers. They were all top guilds in the game but each had its strengths and weaknesses. Some had poor leadership skills and others had unskilled players. Trying to decide which one would be best for us was going to be a hard task. We decided to save the decision for tomorrow so we could sleep on it.
The next morning we woke up and continued our discussion. We had taken our time to think about everything and decided that the Crimson Demons would be the best fit for us. After we made up our minds we headed to the guild headquarters to inform the captain of our choice. Not knowing what to expect when we got there we made sure to be prepared if a fight broke out. Normally towns were safe zones but with this game, you never know anymore. Once inside we found the captain and told him that we would accept his offer. He was happy that we agreed and gave us special teleport stones that out lead straight to the guild. We accepted them with smiles and were welcomed into the guild.
