{Previously On "Face Your Mistakes"}
"Guys-" Delyth started. "So, it's official, We're stuck in a video game.."
All our four teenagers have finally figured out where they are.
Thanks to Solon, they've figured out how to be able to see their abilities in the so-called video game they're stuck in.
But it fails to show them any strengths or weaknesses.
Maybe they'll have to figure that one out on their own.
Will they be able to understand the system of this game and why they were specifically destined to be here?
Or will they just end up breaking into pointless fights and arguments once again?
Find out the answers to these questions in this chapter of...
"Face Your Mistakes"

All three other teenagers looked at Delyth and nodded at her statement.
"I guess we really are stuck in a video game.. " Sylvie said, her mind slowly drifted off.
As if on cue, an what seems to be an NPC appeared. "It seems you have finally figured out how to access your info! Now next you need to figure out your first challenge!"
"Challenge? what type of challenge?" Solon questioned, hoping he would actually get a proper answer.
"You four challenges in total! you need to figure them out as you explore further into the game, but you'll only be able to escape once you've 'Faced Your Mistakes' and come to a certain realization. Only then, and 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 then will you be able to embrace reality and escape the game!" Solon was shocked as to hear that the NPC had actually answered his question.
Vaan stepped in as he had a question pop in his head. "How are we supposed to-" Vaan immediately got cut off by the NPC giving him a small smile then quickly disappearing. "What the hell?! Is this game against me or something?!''
Solon couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, but immediately silenced himself after Vaan sent a death glare his way.
Meanwhile, while this whole fiasco was happening, Sylvie couldn't help but slightly wonder off.
Not too far of course, that would be quite an idiotic move to try and beat the game on your own.
Sylvie had soon realized that not all of where they were standing was grass.
Her eyes landed on a slightly scuffed stone path that she wasn't able to see where it lead, but she knew that stone path is their only lead as to where to go.
Sylvie walked back towards the group and as she did so, she noticed Vaan was giving Solon a death glare once again.
"Those two need to sort themselves out." She mumbled under her breath.
"Guys!" Sylvie shouted out as she waved her hands above her head. "I think I know where we should go to find our so-called 'first challenge'." She crossed her arms as she said that.
"Alright then, go on, show us what you found." Delyth said as she tapped her foot impatiently.
Sylvie rolled her eyes at Delyth then started to walk towards the stone path, Vaan was the first one to follow her, then Delyth and lastly, Solon.
-----
As they all walked on the stone path, it soon came to a stop. They didn't know where to go-
Vaan immediately started climbing the tallest tree he could see. While the others stared in confusion.
"Vaan, get down from there! you'll get hurt!" Delyth shouted out, but Vaan didn't seem to care.
Once he reached the top of the tree he started scanning their surroundings, looking for a way out of this forest, he saw a clearing.
He quickly jumped down, but held on a branch half way down, he was reckless, but he wasn't dumb- well actually that could be debatable..
The girls screamed when he jumped as they thought he was just going to jump straight down. The jump would've broken his legs.
Vaan didn't care either way since he had so many lives left. The only thing that stopped him from completely jumping down was the fact that if he just broke his legs and didn't die, he would just be a liability and in pain.
The girls soon calmed down as they saw him safely climb down the rest of the way.
As his feet touched the ground, he started speaking. "There's a clearing, north from here, so if we head there we might find a way."
The rest of the gang looked at each other as they debated in their heads. Sylvie cleared her throat. "Ahem.. alright then, lead the way."
-----
They were able to arrive at the clearing in the woods quite quickly, but they were soon faced with another confusing situation.
"Are.. are you f*cking kidding me right now?" Solon said in disbelief as he stared at the scene in front of him.
Right in front of them layed three different ways to continue, three different paths in the forest.
The group stood in silence as they pondered in wonder.
"What the hell are we supposed to do now?" Sylvie said as her eyebrows scrunched together.
Solon looked around then his eyes landed on Sylvie as she spoke. Solon's eyes widened as he seemed as if he had figured out something.
"S-Sylvie!" Solon stuttered out as if that was the only word that came out, out of the many things he wanted to say.
"The hell you shouting for?" Vaan said. "Yeah, what's wrong?" Sylvie replied, confused as to why he suddenly shouted out her name.
"Sylvie, what's your ability again?" Solon asked as anticipation was evident on his face.
Sylvie then did the hand position once more.

The other's eyes widened as they realized what Solon was on about.
"Boom! we can use your ability in this situation!" Solon perked up as he crossed his arms in a smug way.
Sylvie groaned as she rolled her eyes. She knew where this was going. "What the hell do you want me to do then, huh? Give a good ol' tree a kiss then ask it to show us the way out? Pffftt-"
Solon smirked. "That is precisely what I want you to do."
"Go on then, work your magic." Vaan said in a slightly teasing manner.
"Go to hell." Sylvie says as she slowly approached a tree. "this.. this is disgusting."
Sylvie slowly inched closer as her lips gently touched the tree trunk.
The others just stared at her as they waited for something to happen.
𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚..
Nothing happened.
The others immediately bursted out into laughter at the pathetic attempt.
-----
Sylvie's P.O.V
This stupid f*cking tree, at this point it's trying to embarrass me on purpose.
I kissed a damn tree for what? nothing.
I'll show this tree how I freaking feel.
-----
Sylvie started kicking the tree only to come to an abrupt stop as a tree branch smacked her across the face making her stumble on the ground.
"Pfffttt-" Solon was running out of air as he was laughing, while Vaan started wheezing while making incoherent noises.
The tree branch retreated, but this time it pointed in a different direction.
It was pointing at one of the pathways..
"Hey, come on Sylvie, it looks like your kiss actually worked." Vaan said as he tried to recover from the amount of tea kettle noises he was releasing back there.
Sylvie shot him a glare, but got off the ground and started stomping towards where the tree had pointed.
The others soon followed behind her as they reached what seemed to be the right place to be.
It was an entry way into a mesmerizing area. It had a rectangular area made out of hard shiny wood in the middle, it also had a net? what an odd thing..
They all had their own thoughts run through their minds as they stared at what was in front of them, but they all had shared one thought without knowing.
'𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣?'
