{Previously On "Face Your Mistakes"}
The team was finally able to finish and complete their first official challenge.
Even if working together was hell for them, they still pulled it off.
"We did it... We completed the first challenge of the game.." Sylvie said as she looked towards each of them.
"This might be the first, but I know it won't be the last.." Solon stated, dedication dusting across his eyes.
Will the gang find out what their next challenge will be?
Perhaps it might just be something unexpected instead.
Did they all manage to somehow use their abilities without knowing?
Or were they all completely aware of what they were capable of in the first place?
And last but not the least, will their differences cause chaos?
Find out the answers to these questions in this chapter of...
"Face Your Mistakes"

After Solon's little speech about how this might be the first but he knows it's not the last, Vaan looked in the distance in a rather dramatic way.
The girls joining him in doing so as Solon looked at them with his eyebrows scrunched together. "What on earth are you idiots doing?" Solon questioned. To no avail he got no reply so he decided to take matters into his own hands as he managed to smack all of them across the head in one clean sweep.
"Ow!" Vaan winced "What's your problem, dude?!"
"All three of you are just looking in the distance like we're in some sort of freaking drama movie. You gonna look for a camera to look at next?" Solon stated, rolling his eyes in the process.
"Leave us alone Salon or whatever the hell you said your name was- Salmon?.. your parents clearly didn't love you in order to name you after a place that does hair and nails or a type of fish-" Delyth stated, getting more and more confused at her own words.
"It's Solon and I had a point-" Solon started but was soon cut off by Sylvie stepping in. "Leave him alone, Del he's right anyways, we're stuck in a game that could cost us our life and we're walking around like it's a joke."
Solon gently placed a hand on top of Sylvie's shoulder in a way to say a silent 'thank you' for backing him up, even though he technically insulted her too, plus he could've handled Delyth himself, but he was grateful nonetheless.
Sylvie turned her head to look at who was resting their hand on her. And for the first time, her hazel colored orbs met a pair of purple grey colored ones. They held eye contact for what seemed like hours but was actually only 3 seconds.
Delyth and Vaan both turned to look at each other almost as if reading each other's thoughts as they looked back at the rather odd scene that laid before them. "Ahem!" Vaan cleared his throat feeling slightly awkward.
Delyth brushed her arm against Vaan's as she stood slightly behind his rather tall and well built figure.
Vaan's voice made Solon and Sylvie jump as Solon quickly retreated his hand while Sylvie nervously ran her fingers through her hair.
That's odd. What in the world- wait scratch that, what-in-the-video-game is going on anymore?
"Alright that's it, no lovey dovey stuff in front of us, weirdos." Delyth stated as she leaned against Vaan while he pretended to puke.
When did these two get so close? Vaan was practically finishing her sentence but with a reaction instead.
"Lovey dovey? you guys are just delusional." Solon said, rolling his eyes. "Let's get moving now, we need to find out what the next challenge is."
"Yeah whatever, let's get moving- to.. uh... where are we going next?" Vaan questioned, unsure of himself.
"I'm going left!" Delyth said as she turned to walk away, trying to take the lead and thinking she'd look behind to see everyone following but nope. almost instantly Solon had grabbed the back of the collar of her top making her almost be thrown backwards into him.
"You can't just wander off on your own" Solon stated as he let go of her collar only just to face palm as he continued speaking. "we need to find a path or something? maybe a hint of where we'll go next."
"Alright then, come on guys, let's get out of here and look." Vaan said, a sense of purpose in his voice.
Right when Delyth and Sylvie were going to follow, Solon's voice cut through. "Who suddenly made you the leader?"
Vaan slowly turned around, his aura changing slightly. "Mad that someone else is taking the lead instead of you? grow up."
Tension slowly grew in the air whilst Delyth shifted oddly between her feet.
"I just don't see why you're trying to take the lead, you clearly can't handle it neither do you know what to do." Solon stated, stepping closer.
"B-boys, l-lets not argue now" Delyth said nervously but they had completely ignored her. "And you think you can do better? If you wanna see real leadership then why don't you stand behind me and tell me what my hair looks like from the back." Vaan said with venom in his words.
"It looks like a dead racoon- oh wait no, that's just how you look like from the front~" Solon replied smirking playfully.
Sylvie was tempted to chime in and make a snarly remark questioning how Solon knew what a dead raccoon looked like, but decided against it as she didn't wanna put herself in the middle of this argument.
Vaan threw his head back, scoffing while still holding eye contact with Solon, looking slightly amused. "Do you wanna run that back with me again?"
"I'm pretty sure you heard me loud and clear, or are your ears messed up? if that's the case then you probably should get that checked out, after all good hearing is an important quality for a good leader to have." Solon stated monotonous.
"You've got a lot of balls trying to mock me right now." Vaan said, his voice almost sounding like it was giving off a warning as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Nah, just two." Solon smirked once again as Vaan looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "Have you forgotten? I've literally managed to somehow kill you already, it's a shame you have more than one life."
Vaan was about to reply to Solon as anger traced his eyes, but once he opened his mouth to speak, Solon spoke once more, continuing where he left off.
"You know what? Sure, take the lead and stand in the front, maybe you can finally be useful for something and be our little human shield, maybe that's why you have so many lives, because you've already screwed your current life so badly, you needed 9 more retries~"
"Oh wow" Vaan chuckled dryly, "do you really wanna test me?" He said rather intimidatingly as he stepped closer to Solon. "Because trust me, you'll regret it."
"No not really- wait give me a second-" Solon said as he bit his lip slightly trying to get something out of his pocket.
He somehow pulled out a small piece of paper from who-knows-where. Gaining everyone's curiosity. "mhm... yeah just as I suspected." Solon said as he analyzed the paper.
"I checked my receipt, and I didn't buy any of your bullsh*t today."
𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚..
Sylvie started coughing as she almost started choking on her spit at Solon's comeback while Delyth looked between both Vaan and Solon wide eyed at the tension in the air. "Oh goodness, hopefully this doesn't go out of hand."
A dark, dry chuckle was filled the air, as Vaan's aura became darker upon listening to Solon. "You talk so much sh*t, I don't know whether to offer you a breath mint, or toilet paper." Vaan said, voice deeper as a smirk was evident on his lips. "or maybe both, so you choke on your own bullsh*t."
Solon had grabbed Vaan's collar almost instantly while Vaan looked like he was ready to throw hands any second now.
Delyth and Sylvie were both contemplating on their own during most of this argument between Solon and Vaan though, not knowing how to deal with this. Was intervening even a good idea? or would they just be ripped to shreds like those two are doing to each other right now?
Delyth silently looked around for anything that could come of use to relieving this situation. "Ugh, what am I supposed to do, come on Del, think--" Delyth mumbled to herself. "This is normally Salmon's job to find solutions for problems, but he's too busy arguing with cat boy at the moment" She finally sighed in defeat.
Delyth's mumble sounds were cut off by a loud crashing sound, as if something had been swung and managed to collide with multiple entities at once.
*𝙏𝙝𝙪𝙙* *𝙏𝙝𝙪𝙙*
Two loud thuds were heard as it indicated that something had fallen to the ground. Delyth turned around from where she was previously looking for something useful to stop the argument from escalating, and instead turned in the direction of where the thuds were heard.
Loud groans echoed through the place. While Delyth blinked to see the scene before her unfold.
