Chapter 10

Frederick Claw ~

"It is hard that I didn't get to meet my daughter but the feeling for you must be much more harder seeing that you did all you possibly could to keep hope alive by assuring her safety from those monsters even at the decision of sending Sofia, your mate away." "You were quite aware of what was at stake but you made the call all the same." Alessia added as more tears rolled down.

"Elena is the only key at a shot to win victory against the darkness that is upon our world. At her infancy, leaving her here, in this world, a world full of dangers and an anonymous someone who is willing and has gone above the minor laws of nature just for such an incredibly high rank, would be very unwise and disastrous." "The best we could do was send her away." I heard Morgana say gripping the hands of Alessia in a comforting and consoling sort of way.

I felt like I made the right choice. Alessia was right when she said that it wasn't easy sending Sofia away to a world without magic at a time that we needed each other the most. Although this her first time there, whatever goes on in the human world, I am totally certain that she can take it.

To them, she may be just one of them if she chooses to disclose her supernatural identity but here, to this world, to me, she is my queen.

Nothing is ever going to change that fact.

"Elena is the reason that you're back with us. She saved you!" Morgana said giving us all a shock.

"Huh??" Alessia said raising an arched brow. "How is she? Whatever is behind me coming back to life because I'm pretty sure that a while ago, my heart stopped breathing and it couldn't have had anything to do with my infant daughter?" Alessia said.

"Morgana, what do you mean by that?" I asked.

"Remember when you carried Elena up to Alessia's corpse that was in a casing in the spirit waters?"

"Yes?!"

"And when her hand gashed against a metal bar then it began to bleed out for a short while?"

"Not a good time but yes."

"Before she healed up by virtue of her vampyre nature, some drops of her blood fell down on the casing. I think or rather, I'm absolutely certain that those drops contained extraordinary magic. When those drops came in contact with her corpse' casing, it gave her life." "That's the only valid explanation."

"Elena is special. To us she is just a hybrid but to whoever is out there seeking her, she is so much more and now we can see why." Morgana said raising her glance to me.

Those words made us all in the table go silent. We all were caught between so many questions and emotions. I for one thought it almost impossible that Elena was gifted with the power of rebirth. That was the peak and zenith of all other supernatural abilities - the ability to revive yourself from death and others who you will. It was similar to being an immortal but much much more than that.

Elena had the power to raise any man or woman, witch or warlock, vampyre or lycan, from death just with a single thought.

Before now, I knew the power of rebirth to be extinct. The last creatures to possess it were the Necromacers and no one has seen any for the last fifteen hundred years. Elena isn't just a key. She is an ETERNAL weapon. On A normal basis, it takes about a year or at least eight months before supernatural creatures exhibit their gifts and special abilities but Elena exhibited hers before even knowing what she was, without being an hour old.

It's insanely hard to know what the future holds for her.

"I'm going to bring back Elena." I heard Alessia say. "She's too powerful to be in that world. The chaos that would untold there as soon as her powers play out could be catastrophic." she added.

"Bad idea! Remember, Elena isn't alone. Sofia will take absolute care of your daughter." "While you were... Dead, she made a promise to you. A promise that until death, she is ready to keep." "Trust me when I say that Elena is in good hands." Morgana said reassuringly.

"With all that is going on I take it that you're starved and we all can go for a drink or two. Whoever is after weekend wouldn't stop until he/she has her and there's no way any of us can take whoever that person is, down with a meagre strength." Liam said as a group of vampyres came in holding tankards of blood, wine glasses, trays of fruits and meals of different sorts.

"As we all know, there's a great evil coming. We need to gather as much strength as possible if we plan on gaining victory over it. There's a long road ahead of us." Liam added.

From the far area that the servers were, I could already smell the blood and feel it's warmth. I have no appetite for blood right now but my vampyre senses are craving for some. Willing or not I needed the blood and the impending energy that follows. The servers came and placed all that they bore on the round table.

Without haste, we all except Morgana dug in. We drank to our fill. I could feel my ultimate strength returning to me. It was as if a charged bolt of lightning had stuck me because my body was electrifying with strength.

"What now? Seeing as you made Elena's abilities dormant for at most two decades and she is in the human world, she won't grow incredibly fast like a supernatural creatures and her time would be different from ours." "Neither of us can bring her back to this world until she is of she so what do we do until then? We can't just let those controlled lycans and whoever they serve rule my kingdom and yours too!" Alessia said fixing her eyes on the wine glass halved with blood on her palm.

"We fight!"

"We fight for both our kingdoms. We fight for our lands and no matter what, we fight for each other." I said with a tone of finality. "Whoever Lord Cassius is, he needs to be stopped."

"Let's remind him that here, evil has no place." I added raising high in the air, my glass of blood.
