Chapter 15
Alessia Claw ~
After I had shown Ryan and the rest of the league of phoenixes to where they could pass the night, I went straight to mine. About six hours ago, I was a locked up prisoner to one of the most or rather, the cruelest being in existence but I still had my child.
I still had my Elena.
I thought by escaping to meet my brother Frederick, we both would be safe but it seems that even the royal army of vampyres were no match for the sole mastermind surrounding what has happened to my kingdom and is gradually spreading all through this world – Lord Cassius.
Along the way, I lost my baby to the human world without an iota of hope that I'll always be there form her. My best friend, Sophia had to become the one who is to be her mother there.
I had agreed with Frederick that I won't try to bring her back until it's the right time, I won't have any witch or warlock bring her back or go to her in the human world but I can't help but worry all that she would be going through right now.
For as far as I know, Frederick has never taken Sophia to the human world before and even as a witch, she has never used her powers to go there so I'm pretty sure that this was going to be here first time stepping foot in that land and that she was familiar with nothing and no one there. If anything terrible were to happen to either of them during the length of their stay there, Sophia would be powerless to help them.
"I need to see her. At least just to see her face for the first time." I soliloquized as a tear fell down my cheeks while I laid on the bed trying to keep myself occupied by putting into writing, every location and visualization spell that I knew.
After about an hour of searching, I finally found the perfect spell. A spell that could make me see whoever I think of no matter where the person is in time and space. I glanced through the spell for the necessary ingredients.
It was by doing so that I saw the demanding part of the spell. The witches say all magic comes at a price well, for one thing there aren't wrong about that.
Some spells are so powerful that in order to cast them, the caster has to give something in return. It was almost like a side effect or a transaction. The side effects of this spell was that it consumes time incredibly fast.
According to the ancient spell book, once I cast the spell, which would be for as long as I want, for me, every minute would become an hour in the original time. That means that I'll have to be super careful with the time that I consume because if I don't, this could end up being a curse rather than a blessing.
I locked up my chamber doors and with my eyes fixed on the spell book, I began casting the spell. My eyes went shut and when I opened them, they were glowing in the shade of green.
As soon as I had succeeded in casting it, I could see my child.
I could see my Elena.
The view was as clear as though she was right before me. I was tempted to try and touch her but when I did, my hand just went through her. She was on a bed clothed in a white blanket which was from this world and beside her laid Sophia. Though I couldn't see her clearly because the main focus of the spell was Elena, I could make out on what I saw that it was her.
Elena was more beautiful than I anticipated even as a baby. Tears welled in my eyes the more I looked at her. I tried to break the spell but the inner bond connecting us both to each other couldn't let me. I ended up staring at her, watching her sleep taking in all that I could from the soft tender nature from her hair to her clothed body.
Wherever she was in the human world, I now know for sure that she is safe.
With a smile, I put an end to the spell. The vision of Elena slowly began to get vague and more vague until I could barely see her until it finally came back to normal.
The noise of the moving shields placed over the windows brought me out of my soliloquy. I guess that I had spent a lot more time than planned and by the look of things, the day was breaking. The shields were to prevent sunlight from invading into the coven at day time.
I kept the spell books and then hurried off to the shower to have a bath. I should've done that after taking the phoenixes to their room but the anxiety of seeing Elena got in the way. I tried letting it all go down as the water went down my body. I tried using the running water to flush away all my sorrows down the drain.
THE PAIN, THE FACT THAT MY KINGDOM WAS IN CHAOS, THE FACT THAT MY HUSBAND WAS GONE, THE FACT THAT MY CHILD WAS IN A FAR AWAY WORLD AND BASICALLY, EVERYTHING HORRIBLE THAT HAD TAKEN PLACE BECAUSE OF 'LORD CASSIUS'.
The bath lasted for about half an hour before I finally came out. I put myself in order as I took away the rags that I had been wearing since the day of the endgame and positioned myself in a nice scarlet gown. It was when I decided to head down so I could meet up with Morgana and have a little chit-chat with her that I noticed a flow of dark and negative energy coming from somewhere nearby.
"Arrgh!" I yelled in pain as the flow of negative energy became more pronounced once again.
If the first was a slight coincidence, this makes my feelings sure. Someone or something very close by just practiced a severe kind of dark magic and I'm pretty sure it's not a vampyre from this coven.
"Did you feel that?" Morgana asked almost running into me with her hands fixed on her head obviously in the same pain that I was under.
"I can't pretend like I didn't" I replied pulling myself together.
Right there, Morgana casted a mirroring spell that allowed us to see what was outside the walls of the coven. The entire surroundings were as usual. The lands weren't exhibiting any sort of magical episode.
"It's happening again!" She said as she turned the mirroring spell to the direction the dark magic was coming from.
"It's HIM!!!" I said in shock. "It's Cassius!"
A portal opened and a creature walked right through. The same being that killed my Leonard and was after my child, Elena.
Cassius the Titan, he was called by.
He came through the portal and after him, an entire pack of lycans.
The black moon pack.
By the symbol they bore, I could make out that they were the Black Moon pack. They all shape-shifted into their supernatural form and then, came charging right for the coven.
