George stared at Raven for a moment.
Since we are going to destroy it, how do you suppose we get in. George asked.
That's why we need this, Raven said as he places his hands on George and he teleported them to the positron canon control room.
George felt dizzy, he felt his head swells twice it's normal size, he felt an headache, and his spine tingles.
Don't you dare ever do that again. He said with his hands on his temple.
You humans have the nerve, don't you. Commanding an angel. That's a first. Raven said amused.
He saw that George was in so much pain, so he placed his hands on George's shoulders and allowed some of his Devine energy to flow through him into George.
The pains disappeared, but George was still panting.
Thanks, he managed to say when he realized what Raven did.
Don't mention, I could have warned you before doing that, so it's my fault. Raven said.
George frowns.
Wait do you hear that. Raven said as his eyes widened.
What?
I think they are here, let's be quick. He snapped.
Then he quickly gave the positron canon an intensed look with his eyes glowing making the wires in it melt from the heat vision.
We should leave now, he said as he held George and teleported them out of the room.
The door opens, an Tyler and the men entered the room, with Tyler leading the way.
Here we are, we are going to make history today gentle men. Tyler said proudly.
He pressed the pen like remote on his hands, and the ceiling of the room opened wide, revealing the clear sky and the meteor in it.
The positron canon, is lifted outside, through the open celling and focused on the meteorite.
Positron canon ready for launch. The computer said.
In 10.9.8.5.4.3.2.1. at this the positron canon whines loudly making everyone to cover their ears, then it stopped.
What just happened, a man asked.
I don't know, Tyler said confused.
What more do we expect, when a toddler is let to run a company. A man in his late 50's reprimanded.
At this, Tyler clenched his Jaws and hands, he hated being referred to as a toddler . But he decided to control his anger so as to avoid further troubles.
Edler help me with this he called to his P.A. as he opens the positron Canon's panel.
Holy shit! Tyler exclaimed, how on Earth did this happened?
He stares at the wires, the mother board, mystified by the what he saw. They had all melted down.
How could this be? he said again.
Is anything wrong, A man asked.
Gentle men, it seems the positron canon isn't fully prepared. Perhaps you could go home and we celebrate the success tomorrow. Tyler said confused and uncertain.
There were loud groans and whispers among the men. George didn't stayed long with them, he left them in the positron canon room, deciding that if they wanted to spend the whole day there, they could for all he cared.
Back outside Raven had teleported himself and George to the hallway, George felt a little dizzy, Raven tried to hold him back from falling.
Don't worry, I am getting used to it. He said reassuringly.
Raven grins.
What next do we do? George asked curiously.
We wait for the meteor. Raven said as he sat on the wooden chair beside them.
Wait?! Are you kidding.
No. Raven said.
No?!
I told you earlier, I will catch it. So there's no need to fear just sit tight.
You know, this is beginning to sound like your ego thing. George said accusingly.
No, it doesn't. Raven defended.
Yes it does.
Tyler came along, looking stressed, and frustrated. What are you two doing here he asked.
We decided to stay back, and wait. George said.
Tyler nods, You two better get going home now.
Why, I would love to hang around for a while. Raven said.
No, you shouldn't, the positron canon, got damaged seriously and we don't have much time. Tyler said with a calm voice.
Uhm... George hums.
Just go home, it's a failed mission. He places his right hand on his temple, and left them alone.
Sounds like one depressed young man. Raven said.
You better be right about this.
I am always right. Raven said.
George glares at him.
Except when I anticipated, that if I left heaven without God's approval, he would let me be and then I was cast into the haions. Raven concluded.
George gave him a questioning look. What is it you have with this Lucifer Morningstar?
I don't want to talk about. Raven snapped.
Oh, ok. I am not surprised, who would ever wanna talk about the devil. George said.
So what's your plan? George asked curiously.
I will catch the meteor when it comes falling, and take it somewhere else. Raven replied.
Just that. George said.
What else.
Plan B. George said.
Plan B, not compulsory, but if it eventually crashes in the seas. Raven shrugs.
What does that mean. George inquired.
Well I would try my best to hold the water back, but since I am not the water kind of angel, there is little I can do. Raven replied.
Pauses for a moment.
I think we should go check on Tyler. Raven suggest.
Yeah.
They strolled down the hallway which is filled with lots of doors which leads to different offices. Or department.
They arrived at Tyler's office, and tap the door gently.
Come in. Tyler responded.
Raven and George went in.
Oh you two, I thought you should be home by now. Tyler scolded.
Well we couldn't leave you here alone either. George defended.
Will you have a drink. Tyler offered.
Yeah, we will. George accepted.
Any would do. Raven answered Tyler's unasked question about which drink they would love.
Any?!
Yes any. George said.
Tyler went to the bar in his huge office, he took a bottle of wine and 3 wine glass then he poured it into the glass, just as he was about to pour into the second glass, the building shook letting the bottle drop from Tyler's hand emptying the content in it, George held the table for support.
What is that. George asked alarmed.
It has begun. Tyler stated.
What?
They went to the balcony and they saw the meteorite moving with great speed towards the seas as it gets closer to the ground.
George! Where is your friend? Tyler asked mystified.
Oh no. I think maybe he went to use the bathroom. George said as he sweated.
Tyler knew something was wrong, because George felt uneasy.
Are you okay.
Yes, George assured. We will just wait here for him huh.
Tyler nods.
Meanwhile Raven was outside in hot chase of the meteor, he clapped his wings harder, he held the meteor but the flames that emitted from it was so blinding. An odor which smelled so toxic oozed from the meteor.
His wings which where entirely made up of flames extends, as he pulls the meteor to himself. They flew passed the statue of liberty, but the meteor still speeding towards the sea.
Raven positioned himself, at the front of it as he pushed in the opposite direction of it's velocity.
Raven groans. He hadn't recovered fully as he thought, catching that meteor was far harder than he had presumed.
Boom! Splash! The meteor sounded as it hits the sea sending shock waves throughout.
Raven pastout.
Birds flew restlessly, the cloud darkens, the wind blew harder and cooler sending cold shivers.
George and Tyler watched from the balcony as they saw the sea rises as dark blue walls closing on the city.
Raven gasp out loud as he wakes up halfway beneath the sea.
His eyes glowed golden than ever before, his body and wings lighted with flames. He flew so swift that he got to the shores so fast, and with all the powers he could muster that moment, he held the water back in place, but the seas stubbornly pushed harder, he didn't give up either but persisted. Until the water calmed down.
His glow faded, the fire on his wings and body died of, his eye lids felt so heavy, then he gave in eventually to the deep slumber that engulfed him.
He dropped into the sea.
I... I think it's over. George said.
Yeah, how was that even possible. Tyler comments.
George looks around if for Raven, he wasn't there yet.
Where is Raven? Tyler asked.
Uhm... George hums.
Why do I have this feelings that you are not telling me something. Tyler asked suspiciously.
Umm... He will be back any moment. George said.
Looking for someone. Raven's voice from the door post.
Ok, here he is. George said
Tyler glares at the both of them.
You two are weird. He said
What is wrong with being weird? Raven said.
Nothing, just that things are not to be overdone. Tyler managed to say.
