Laura stares at the man on her bed, he was such a beauty. Laura stares at him with kin interest, for a moment she thought he was the man in her dreams, who she also saw at Mr T-foods restuarant, he looks alot like him, his black long hairs, jaw linings, thick black eye brows and lashes, his pink lips, his flawless tan skin, his beatifully defined muscles, he also wore a bracelet of pure gold, but it glitters far more than any gold she has ever seen. Then again she thought, her mystery man wore black pants but the man on the bed wore spotless white pants with linings of pure gold on both sides and also bands on his waist and ankles also made of gold. His waist band look more like a belt, what she thought to be the head of the belt had a 3rd degree image of a birdhead with it's eyes made from a red gem.
He clearly was not her mystery man. She thought.
Laura couldn't stand just staring at him but wanted to touch him also, with the back of her palm she touched his face gently, feeling his jawlines, she touch his lips gently with her index fingers. His hair, his hair was so soft and silky that she couldn't resist the urge to touch them, she curls his long hair around her fingers as she admire them.
The man groans, she removed her hands quickly as she watch him, he snorts then tries to open his eyes, but it seems he couldn't, so he tried to adapt his eyes to the brightness of the sun sipping through the room window.
Laura watches him as he opened his eyes slowly. Laura gasps, as she saw his eyes, they were golden in colour and it's glows so hard like a camp fire at night.
He sat up, as he gave Laura a questioning look. Who are you? and Where am I. He asked curiously.
Um.... Laura said not knowing what to say as she was taken aback by his deep and angelic voice.
I am Laura, Laura Eastman. And you are in my grandparents home. She managed to say, her voice trembling.
Who are your grandparents? and What are you? He asked.
Laura taken aback by his curiosity got up to go call her grandparents and her mom. But he held her back holding her wrist, their eyes locked and he stares into her eyes trying to read her mind but could'nt instead he groans as the pain on his head increases.
You need to rest now, I will go call my grandparents. She said assuring him.
He slumps back to the bed, wondering why he couldn't read her mind. He shots his eyes close, then opens them again as he heard a sound at the door post.
He saw an old man and woman, also a young middle aged lady, a teen boy, and Laura, who he saw first when he woke up.
Look at his eyes. George pointed.
Hello son! What's your name? Laura grandfather asked.
And what intention does a mortal man has, that he requires my name. He replied, in his usual angelic deep voice and toon.
They were all taken aback by his words.
Laura's grandfather was confuse, then he decided to deal with it. He stares at his eager face, his eyes glowing hipnotically. He shifted his gaze.
People here do know each others name, it is a way we get to know each other and communicate better. He said.
Raven, my name is Raven. He said bluntly.
Raven?, how ironic. Laura thought.
Meanwhile Susan, Laura's mom who had been dumbfounded said. I think you need to relax now, Laura will get your lunch for you.
No, I am not staying here any longer. He said as he stood up from the bed, but he fell back to the bed, he stood up again, but his legs were too weak to carry him. He surely had not stand or walked for a very long time.
Becareful. Susan said, as they all rushed to support him, he layed back to the bed, staring at their faces. He could read their minds, he saw and knew all what they were thinking at that moment. Except Laura, he couldn't read her mind. What was she? he thought.
I think we will leave alone son. Lunch will be ready soon. Grandpa said, then he left.
He said nothing but stares at them as they left.
Feel at home, if you need anything you can call. Grandma said, speaking for the first time. Then she followed her husband.
George glares at him, he now had the attention of his mom, sister and grandparents. George had always had the attention of every one in their little family. But now this strange man who calls himself Raven now has it all. He saw him as a competetor, he felt really jealous.
Raven saw this because he could read his mind, he knew how he felt but he didn't say a word either.
Laura stayed, and sat down next to him.
You are not of this world. Are you? she managed to say.
Are you? He asked.
Laura was confused by his question, she was the one asking the question. Why would this man ask her back. She thought.
I am, she eventually said.
He smirks.
Do I amuse you, or did I said anything wrong. Laura asked courteously.
Yes. Yes you do.
How, Laura asked.
Laura, you need to assist grandma in the kitchen. George voice disrupted their little conversation.
Laura got up, relunctantly as she gave George a questioning look.
You, follow me. He said pointing to Raven.
Raven stares at him.
Dude, stop staring at me like that. George said refering to Raven's eyes as he shields his face with his palm.
You know I can barely walk now. He said as he tries to stand.
But... George said but was interupted.
I don't need a bath or any of your clothings. Raven blurted out.
George was taken aback by his words. How did he know what he was going to say. He thought.
It is one of my angelic abilities. He said answering George's unasked question.
Scoffs. So you are saying, you are an angel? George said amused, with the feeling of jealousy and anger disappering from his face.
You can say that again. Raven assured.
I knew it, George said. I knew you weren't human. He concluded. So what can you do? what are you abilities?. George said squating in front of Raven.
Hey, slow down. I can barely get off this bed, not to mention using my powers. He said.
Ok, I will get you up. George said as he held Raven's hand and lifted him up. But Raven fell back.
Sorry! He said.
George took him up again. This time he stood upright, then he tries to take a step but he staggers back to the bed then George held him back.
Ok, ok, you can let of me now. Raven said assuring him.
When last did you step on your feet? George ask curiously.
That I don't know. Raven answered.
Wasn't angels suppose to know everything. George thought.
No we don't, we know only what we are suppose to. He answered George unasked question.
Oh, you did it again. George retorted.
Mind reading, it's something I do most of the time. Now lets go. Raven said.
Oh, this way then. He said leading him out of the room.
They got into George room, and George hands a towel over to him.
Do you humans really do this all the time.
You can read minds, why ask me. George teased.
I can, but I can't read your mind deeply by merely staring at you. So I ask, So if you have the answers it comes to the surface of your mind were I can get it. Raven said.
Then you should have knew by now that, we do 2-3 three times daily. George said with a grin.
Affirmative. He replied.
George stares with interest as he saw Raven removes his brecelet. And droped them on the table.
You don't expect me to undress myself in front of you. Do you?
No, absolutely not. George said as he admires Raven's bracelet.
Don't touch those. Raven said as he read Georges mind.
Why?
Just don't. Raven insisted.
Ok, whatever you say. I will go help help grandma in the kitchen. George said.
You have my permission. Raven replied then he entered the bathroom.
π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£
At the dinning Laura, George, Susan and their grandparents are sitted having lunch.
George! Where is Raven, I thought you said he was on his feet already. Grandma inquired.
He is ma, he is in the bathroom. George replied.
George! Do you really believe his an angel. Laura asked.
George had told Laura and Susan about his conversation with Raven when they were in the kitchen. George rarely hides anything, from his mom and sister, he is more of an extrovert, so muchΒ unlike Laura who is introverted.
Yes, he could read my mind. George said. And didn't you saw his wings last night and.....and his eyes human eyes don't glow that way, there is nothing to doubt. He added.
Yes, I did. Laura comfirmed.
But you still doubt because you believe angels aren't real. George remarked.
This remark makes Laura to remember what the voice said and it echoed in her head. "πππ π²πππ π΄π π©ππ πππ π«ππ'π π©ππππππ π° πππππ" who could he be then. She wondered.
Do you think he can be trusted. Grandpa asked.
Of course. George assured.
No, not George, everyone knows you could even trust a dog to keep your bones for you. Laura commented.
No! George defended.
Yes! Laura insisted.
It's okay kids go back to eating, this is not what to fight about. Grandpa said.
An angel in our house, in this troubled times, sounds like good omen. Grandma said.
Hm... grandpa grunts.
Here he is. George pointed.
Raven stood at the door post admiring there little family conversation, it made him think of home back in heaven.
Hey! don't just stand there and watch. Aren't you gonna eat something. Susan inquired.
Raven now standing looks more adorable than ever that it made their jaws fall. They stared at him in awe. He wore the same white pants, his bracelet and amulet, but is barefeeted and shirtless.
He can't have dinner that way, he needs to put on a shirt first. Grandpa insisted.
Hm..... I think he has a point Raven. George said.
Ok, then if you insist. Raven said, then he snaps his fingers and a white sleeve with golden linings covered his bare chest, his hair twisted behind him by itself.
They all stared at him amazed by what he just did.
Now you can come over Grandpa said breaking the awkward silence.
He pulled out a chair beside Laura and sat down.
What is this? he said staring at the food.
It's cheese burger. George said.
Hmm... Raven hums.
He takes a bite then chews deeply.
Not bad at all. He said.
So tell me son, are you really an angel. Grandpa asked breaking the silence.
Yes. Raven answered.
I told you so. George retorted.
So what are you doing here in Ohio. Laura asked curiously.
Raven stares at her trying to know the reason for her question, he tilted his head left but still couldn't find anything. Her mind was blank and he wondered why.
I am not here by my own will, not even in this time. Raven answered.
And that is. Laura insisted.
I came searching for someone, well unfortunately, I am here, in this time and era. Raven said.
I still don't get you. Laura said.
Laura you should let him be. Her mom said.
No, no no. Its okay. Raven said.
What I actually meant is that, I am suppose to be in an era when humans don't exist. But God stopped me. Raven concluded.
Uhm.... That is, you should have been here like billions of years ago. George ask curiously.
Exactly. He said.
Scoffs. God stopped you? Laura said mockingly.
Hmm, what amuse you. Raven asked. Normally he could have read her mind, but since he couldn't he asked her.
I thouht George said you could read minds. Laura said with a questioning look.
Yes, I do. Not most of the time. Raven defended.
Ok, you said God stopped you, the thing is, I don't believe in God at all. Laura said blurtly.
Hmm..... You should. Raven said blankly.
So you are not a fallen angel. Grandpa ask suprised.
No, not at all. Raven said. But I came looking for a fallen though, that should be about billions of years back.
How old are you. George asked.
I am ageless boy. I stopped calculating when I reached 113,000 years. Raven snapped.
George didn't like the idea of being referred to as a boy by Raven who he felt was no less older than he was.
Raven stares at George then grins, George understood that Raven knew what was going on in his head.
Don't mind him Raven, he is always like that. Laura said.
So do you mind telling us who is so special that made you leave heaven to meet him. Laura said.
Lucifer Morningstar. Raven blurted out.
