I finally fell asleep after Tony called and I won't lie but he does have a nice voice over the phone.
I don't know if it's only me but everytime I wake up I look for my phone. It's the first thing I think of before I brush my teeth. I was going through a couples of messages and mom flashed on my screen
" we will be back till tomorrow evening and please make sure to give Yuzu your dad's laptop. There's also money in one of the drawers order pizza or buy a few snacks at the local store "
I don't know if it's me but why is she being nice to me?maybe dad used mom's phone but either way its Saturday and I'm alone. I could get used to living alone but that's almost impossible.
It was 13:43pm when I went to the mall ,I did tell my neighbour and I wasn't supposed to be home later than 5pm but I was okay because I wasn't going to meet anyone just to surround myself with well dressed people . She also wanted pizza and I couldn't say no .
There I was holding shopping bags I actually thought about having movie night and one knows I wasn't going to finish all this in one night .
I stood there like an innocent girl while waiting for my pizza to be ready and that's when I saw him with a couple of boys . Maybe I acted out of impulse but I just covered my head with my hoodie so he couldn't recognize me but they weren't even coming my way .
I felt a little bit of relief coming out of me. After a 45 minute wait I was ready to go home but a small part of me wished to see his face . Why I'm I so complicated sometimes?
This can't be helping right now . As I reached the exit he came in with his friends and I must say they looked really good and I didn't want them to see me but it was too late.
"Hey what are you doing there "
My airpods were still in my ears and yes I didn't want to talk to anyone but now I guess my resting bitch face isn't intimidating to him.
"Are you even listening "he asked again
I tried reaching for my phone and there was a lot of stuff in my hands
"Okay let me help you " and I nodded.
His friends had disappeared in the crowd .
"So what are you doing here" he asked again
"To get this and now I'm actually on my way home"
"This is a lot of stuff are they all yours "
I smiled at him"actually no ,I'm home alone so I thought maybe I could treat myself "
"Will you be able to finish this in one night or do you mind if you could include me "
"Haha your really funny but I'll be okay . The other box of pizza is my neighbors "
"What about the bags ,do they also belong to your neighbour ?" Still looking at me
"No they are mine but I assure you they'll be finished before midnight "
"Wow your quite something. I didn't really think your a foodie but clearly I was wrong"
"Like I said my parents and siblings ain't here so I'm kinda having a one on one movie marathon "
"Okay I get it. Do you need a ride cause you sure got a lot of things here"
"No I'll catch a cab "
"I insist...I'm not taking a no infact let me call my friends and we'll drive you there"
"okay "
We made our way to the parking lot as he helped me with my shopping bags and I had the pizza . We stood there while we waited for his friends to come.
"Brandon "I yelled his name
"So you guys know each other" he asked
"He was friends with Rowland in grade 10 and that's how I know him"
But that was the not complete truth . He was good friends with Rowland and they liked each so I thought but we did not get along and we somehow hated each other. I don't know why but we just did. I remember being in the school's parking lot with Melanie and Chris talking about some useless things and since he had a car he parked next to where we were and all that mud was on me . He didn't evena apologise instead he just looked at me and smirked. Melanie and Chris just laughed because they knew we hated each other. It's as if he had made it his mission to bully me and he was succeeding and failing at the same time .
But now I'm about to be in the same car with him . How wonderful. It also turned out that the car is his .
Maybe I should just go but won't that be rude. I don't care I'll bring some sort of excuse but I can't be in the same car as Brandon.
"Get in " Tony looking at me as if I've just been hit by a cyclone .
Brandon looks at me as I walk and sit down in his leather car seats. There were four of us and I felt excluded. I really love hip hop and I think I'll always love it .
The guys were just talking and I sat there feeling completely left out . I did try to speak and twice but Brandon looked at me like I was crazy.
"Are you good "Brandon asked with a huge smirk on his face.
"Yeah I'm good . Why wouldn't I be good "
"Cause you've been quite and I was only wondering "
Still can't believe he's sitted next to me and I have to bare him . The boys had decided to go to Brandon's house before dropping me off and I did mind because 1 it was already 3 PM while I'm supposed to be home before 5pm. 2 I'm in Brandon's car ,the boy I can hardly stand and 3 I'm not enjoying myself at all if only I had insisted on catching a taxi none of this would have happened but no Tony magically had his way with me .
This boys have got to be kidding me. We've been here for than 30 minutes and I'm slowly losing it. I keep checking my phone so I won't be late . I can feel my hands sweat a bit.
Even though I don't really like Brandon he lives in a nice house. I don't want to judge but he seems like the type who brings girls over while he's parents are not around and I mean here I am with a bunch of boys completely left out as if I'm not here.
"You keep checking your phone what's wrong "Tony asks
"Cause I need to be home by 5PM ,I promised my neighbour "
"Ohh,okay so you don't want to join us? We are about to play FIFA "
"Uhhm ........maybe next time but I really should get going "
"Okay! I'm about to play then we will all get you home"
I made it home safe and on time. My neighbour was quite pleased with me and I was happy too. All I had to do was to warm my pizza and watch Netflix.
My phone rang and it was an unknown number "we are outside your house please open up "
"Who is this?who are you?"
"Tony. My phone's off so I called you with Brandon's phone "
"Okay "
I am so in trouble. "What are you all doing here"
"Tony told us that your home alone so we thought maybe you'd appreciate some guests "
"Yeah ofcourse at 8PM " I said in a sarcastic tone
"Consider it a sleep over"
We all sat in front of the TV watching the nun enjoying my snacks and I must say it did not feel so horror to me . It felt more of comedy instead. Maybe I should just live once and maybe having them over is not a bad idea after all I didn't invite them.
We also played truth or dare like when Luca dared Brandon to crush a cube of ice with his front teeth in 30 seconds ,21 questions and I'm glad they did not get deep into it. We also played hide and seek and I know we are old but we were all letting loose. We also did karaoke . I might be in trouble but I will never trade this day for anything even though I wish Melanie was here.
We had slept in the lounge on the carpet at around 3-4 AM because Brandon and Luca were singing ,I was really tired and very happy . It's the first time something like this happened to me. Maybe I did judge Brandon too soon.
OMG!!I am the first to wake up and they are still here . How do I even wakeup them up ,call out their names and tell them to just leave me but no today is Saturday and my parents will be here so they got to go .
"Hey hey wakeup!wakeup guys it's late. "
But they were not moving a bit
"No no no wakeup " Tony got up "what's wrong "
"You gotta leave and gotta leave now but your friends just won't wakeup "
"I have a plan "and we both head to the kitchen and came back with ice water
"Do it"
"No you do it"
"Okay fine " and I sprinkled water on their faces
"We know it was your plan T"Luca and Brandon said in an annoyed way
"Should we help you clean this mess "they asked
And that's when my some people knocked "Bri are you there. Mom said we should come check up on you"
"Oh gosh it's the neighbour's kids " and I opened the door
"Hey mom said we should come check up on you so byeee"
"BYE GUYS " I sighed out of relief
"Time for you guys to go before I lend myself in more trouble "
"Okay Bye "
"Mhhh" wow this is huge can't wait until I tell Melanie all of it.
