Chapter 42 - Dogma and the Wolf

As they now stood on top of the tower once more, Fenrir and Obsidia stood beside the two elders ready for what was to come.

"Are you both certain you want to go through with this? The master is understanding if you want to back out."

Fenrir and Obsidia looked at eachother then back to Domnus and Dara.

"Nieo cannot go without her parents. She is still young. As for myself…." Fenrir looked down at his hand. "I must bring back my brothers and sister. I am not of this time but they are still family."

Domnus nods then turns to Obsidia. "Do you feel the same?"

She looked to her brother who sat beside Nieo. "Yes… My brother and I have lived for over two hundred years, not knowing where our powers truly came from. When we discovered it was her, we made a promise we would help her no matter how."

The two were nervous at first but Fenrir relaxes feeling a cold touch in his shoulder. "Taking their places will give her a chance with both of them as well as us a chance."

Domnus smiled, reminding him of someone he used to know. Dara glanced over as this was the first time in a long time her old friend had smiled.

"Very well. The time is just about up. The master shall be here in a moment." Dara spoke then started to walk toward the edge of the towers roof, getting into position. Domnus bowed before Fenrir and Obsidia then took to Dara's side.

Within a few minutes the master revealed himself. "Young wolf Fenrir, young Obsidia. I have thought long and hard about your request." His voice echoed through the valley and vibrated off the tower. "May I speak with these two alone?" Domnus and Dara were thrown off by this request but agreed and got up. Nieo and Zero stand up and walk to the gate. Nieo looked back at Fenrir and Obsidia, she could sense their determination from this far.

"Let's go Nieo." Zero nudges Nieo then walks through the gate with her, followed by the two elders.

"Now that we are alone," He lifts his massive claw up over the tower, his sharp claws in view now "I must ask of you two one thing. Think of what you most desire for a minute."

Fenrir closes his eyes and thinks about his brothers and sister. Obsidia thinks about his brother, seeing him happy.

He slowly moves his claw to the two, gently pressing a talon against their foreheads. He then summons a bright light that engulfed the tower momentarily. Once the light faded, Fenrir and Obsidia stood before their new master.

"Fenrir, Obsidia, how do you two feel?" He asked as he lowered his claw and placing it beside the tower.

Fenrir slowly opened his eyes and looked at both of his hands. "I don't feel any different."

"Nor I." Obsidia opened her hand, her flames igniting from her palm just like before. It stayed black with the white hue for a while before it slowly changed into a sphere.

"It shall take time to adjust to, but I do believe the two of you have a world to rebuild."

The two looked at eachother then back to their new master. Fenrir stepped forward and looked up at him. "May I ask you a question?"

He nods to Fenrir, his fists clenched. "Does this mean I can revive my brothers and sister?"

He thinks for a moment before answering the wolf. "It is possible, but before you are capable, you must learn your new powers yourself."

Partially relieved, Fenrir still was not certain of what he meant.

"As for now, I must think of a new name for each of you. Especially you, Fenrir, as you are an anomaly to this timeline."

"You don't need to, master. Just call me Fin. It is a name I went my for a few hundred years."

"Very well, Fin. And you Obsidia, you shall be given the name of Dogma. With your powers you an Authority."

"Thank you master." She spoke softly. Deep down she didn't care for her previous name, but with their new master, she could feel at ease with a new one.

"Join the others, and when the two of you feel ready, you may depart."

Now donning a name he once again used, Fin turns to Obsidia whose face was bright red. It had been so long she had forgotten her old name but her new one gave her purpose. Fin held his hand out for her. "Let's go talk to the others. We've got a lot to learn."

"You're right." Obsidia… No. Dogma, takes his hand and they walk side by side through the gate. Once they were gone, The Master looks at the gate and smiles.

"Those two have a lot a head of them." He closes his eyes and sighs softly. As he had seen the towers future.

"Master…" A voice called out from the shadow of the tower.

"What is it?" He replies, waiting for an answer.

"It's Chaos… He killed Drud and Elder Gaelus, his father."

"Those two underestimated him. I sensed their deaths during the renaming of those two…." He closed his eyes and sighed once more. "Summon Estrel and Chib to me. Beril may be able to track his aura."

Meanwhile:

Nieo sat between Nendrerth and Eaos with her eyes closed, enjoying their time together. Zero began to pace the room they sat in, which was the size of an average living room.

"You know, pacing will not help the matter… The Master has been watching those two since Fenrir went back in time." Eaos spoke softly as he runs his hand slowly through his daughters hair.

"I know… I'm just worried by taking your places, he's going to…." Zero is interrupted when the door to the room opens, Fin and Dogma walking through the room and stops. Nieo jumps up and rushes to them hugging the two.

"Sorry we're late." Dogma says. Zero walks over to her face to face.

"Why couldn't I sense you two coming?" Zero asks with a worried look.

"Don't worry Zero, we took their places and now we were tasked with rebuilding the world." Fin walks over and places his hand on his head.

"Thank you both Fenrir and Obsidia." Nendereth stands up and kneels. Then feels a hand from both on her shoulder.

"You don't need to thank us. We've been wanting to do this for Nieo for some time." Dogma says softly.

"Plus, it's Fin and Dogma now." The two smiled.
