Trapped back in his massive form, Fenrir limps back toward the ocean in hopes of finding his siblings. In moments, he reaches the shore and collapses to the ground, causing the earth to shake under him.
Hours pass and the sun had already set. Hel and Sleipnir found Fenrir and stayed beside him as he rests.
"I almost forgot how huge Fenrir was, Hel."
She stood beside Fenrir's head and gently caressed his cheek. "What ever happened to him, he couldn't bare to stay in this form. We can't run and let this happen again, even if he tells us to run."
"Agreed. I shall see what I can do about his wounds." He trots over and begins to examine Fenrir's wounds.
The day of Ragnarok:
Set, Anubis, and Fenrir all stood before a Pyramid. Set walks up to it and begins to mutter something which causes an ominous glow to appear from the pyramid.
"Fenrir. It's time." Anubis looks up at Fenrir who now steps forward to the pyramid. Set stands there smiling as the orb begins to move forward to Fenrir.
"This orb shall give you more power and in return for my favor, it will also give you the ability to shift into a mortal form."
Fenrir growls then opens his mouth and devours the orb. Nothing seemed to happen at first until the ground began to shake around him. Fenrir's growls continue then He looks up into the sky and howls. His howl busting through the sky. Anubis walks over to Set and watch as Fenrir is much larger than before, his fog is gone and replaced with crimson fire. Now he looks back down, eyes closed and smoke flows from the corners of his mouth.
"More...." His voice echoes through the empty wastes "I... Need... More..." His eyes open and thunder cracks all around him.
Present:
After healing his wounds, Sleipnir steps away to rest. The sizes and amount of wounds Fenrir had took a toll on him.
"Now he just needs his rest."
Hel sat against Fenrir, worried about what is to come. "That was only one of them... What will happen when they are all together, Sleipnir?"
"I do not know. He mentioned the one who caused the black flames was one as well. If each one of them is this strong, then I'm not sure." He sits there pondering as well.
"It's best not to think about it." Jormangundr slithers into view from the ocean. He and Fenrir were now the same size again. "Our brother needs our help. You two rest for now, I shall watch over tonight."
Hel nods and closes her eyes. Sleipnir curls up across from Hel and Fenrir. Jormangundr looked down at his siblings, remembering when they were all young.
Meanwhile:
Back in the white marble throne room, Archangel sits in his crimson throne. Zero was in wolf form but the size of a man, stood beside his sister Obsidia. Another man enters the throne room, dressed in black armor.
"I see Zero and Obsidia are both here so I assume the others are on their way as well."
Obsidia and Zero looked at the man. Obsidia was about to speak when Archangel stands up from his throne.
"Alister, the time is near. I have asked for the Six to meet here for a reason, which I shall explain when the others arrive."
Alister bows before Archangel, "Of course master. While we wait, do you mind if I go and see to the kitchen? I have been traveling for hours trying to blend in."
Archangel nods and allows him his leave.
"I know he's the leader of the Six master, but do you trust him?"
Archangel looks down at Obsidia then begins to walk down the steps from his throne. "I gave each one of you your powers for a reason. He is just the same. I trust each one of you. If we are to succeed, you must trust eachother. We have two Fenrir's in this time line so I need half of the Six to keep him busy."
Obsidia bows "Forgive me for questioning your plan, master." She could feel his gaze on her before she stood back up.
"Obsidia. I have a task for you..."
Fenrir finally woke up and looked around. Hel was asleep on his arm while Sleipnir was curled up beside her. Jormangundr was the only one awake at the time.
"You're finally awake brother."
Fenrir laid his head back down before he spoke. "I underestimated how strong they can be."
"Did you not fight them in your time?"
He sighs then looks up at Jormangundr "No... They hunted be down where ever I went. Killing and enslaving Gods and man alike..."
The two, mountain sized brothers, now sat quietly.
"The three of us agreed to never let you fight alone again. What ever happened to your time, we now have a chance to make right."
Fenrir nods, "How long was I out?" Fenrir then heard a voice below "Only half of the day."
Fenrir glanced to the sky "Its almost time. We don't have much longer before this needs to be stopped."
"How long would you say we have?" Hel asks before getting up off his arm.
"Ragnarok happens tomorrow night. I can get you two there on my back in no time, but I'm not sure about you, Jormangundr."
"Do not worry about me, I think I may have a way. I have lived long enough to learn things about my powers while I was imprisoned"
Fenrir nods then stands up and stretches*
He thought for years that he never wanted to be in this form and now that he's transformed back he's not sure what to think.
"Before I passed out, I was able to get his scent... if we stop myself first we might have a chance to stop them as well."
Hel looked up at Fenrir, partially worried about him "Let's just focus on stopping the other you first. Now that you're in this form you probably can't shift back, can you?"
Fenrir sighs then relaxes for a moment "I need to get used to it this form again so for now we'll say no. If I can later then that's different.
Fenrir lays down so Hel, Sleipnir and Cerberus can climb up onto his back.
"I shall meet you all there when the time is right."
They nod and Fenrir stands up as Jormangundr takes to the ocean and disappears back into the depths for now.
"Are you all aleight up there?"
"Well I can hold on but Sleipnir and Cerberus might have a hard time if you run."
"Ha I might as well run myself if that's the case." Sleipnir neighs and lays down.
Cerberus was back in his Husky form laying down beside Hel, he didn't seem to care too much. Now their Journey really begins.
