Chapter 10 - Allies of Old

Fenrir sighs, looking back at the dust as it flew away. "I will make things right, guys. Just wait for me." He looks back and follows Cerberus through the portal. The moment he steps through, he is greeted by Cerberus, who was ready to attack someone. The Hound was growling and stood next to him was Odin, Thor, and Loki.

Loki looked back at Fenrir, he could sense the pain and anger and looked down. Fenrir's eyes were still glowing orange instead of blue or red.

"Good timing Fenrir," Odin says as he carefully pets Cerberus "Lets focus on these immortals for now. Afterwards I wish to speak with you."

Fenrir nods and looks forward. In front of them stood a massive Crimson Castle and in front of it stood two unfamiliar characters to Fenrir, but a familiar and sinister scent left the two figures. "They're part of the Six I spoke of, Grandfather."

Odin stood there thinking for a moment. "They should be here soon..." as soon as he said that, a flash of lightning struck the ground behind them. Smoke rose from the spot and several gods stepped forward. Out from the smoke stepped Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, and Ares.

"Well that would be one, now where is the other."

Zeus stepped forward over to Odin "Ra was sometimes late to battles my old friend."

Hades' walked over to the duo and began to examine the castle. He wore similar clothes to Zeus but dark colors. "So this is the castle of the pretenders? It appears to be well fortified. All of their fortifications are hidden some how."

"Do not underestimate them..." Fenrir spoke up, his gaze was focused on the ground. "It may be easier if we are all together but if they get the power they will eliminate everyone in their way."

All the gods Fenrir haven't met looked at him and could tell he wasn't from this time. Zeus walks over to him. "I assumed Hermès brought you back for a reason." He looked up at Zeus, who could now see his pain. "I'm also surprised Cerberus is here as well." Hearing his name he snaps out of his growl and looks over at Zeus.

Fenrir looked forward at the castle, then back to Cerberus. Deep down, something felt off but he couldn't quite place it. At the gate of the castle, one of the guards appear to have received new orders as the gate begins to raise.

"Something isn't right about this...." Staring at the gate, Fenrir is confident something is off. Knowing who they're up against, the enemy wouldn't just casually open their gates like this. Behind the gate steps forward a man in black armor.

"Fenrir, it certainly is a pleasure to see you. My master would like to see you."

Odin looked over to Fenrir. "If these guys haven't gained their full power yet, this should be an opportunity."

Fenrir takes a step forward "I'm more concerned about how strong their master is." He begins to walk toward the castle, the two guards seem calm even though they're out numbered. Cerberus began to follow but Zeus stopped the Hound.

Once inside the gate, Fenrir was overwhelmed by an aura he hadn't felt before. All of the old gods had a slight aura to them but this one was crimson and spread out from the castle to to castle yard. He takes a step forward into it and stopped. He felt as if all of his senses were about to overload all while a shiver was sent down his spine.

"You can sense him can't you?" The armored man asks as he walks forward into it. "That is my masters Aura. Each and everyone of us had grown accustomed to it." He smirks and turns to Fenrir. "If I were you I would leave now while you have a chance"

Fenrir shakes it off and manages to catch his breath. Remembering what his sister told him, he starts to walk again trying to walk through until the aura withdraws back into the castle. The pressure he felt had finally relaxed. Was this being just flexing his power, or is he able to control it at will. Fenrir wasn't sure what the answer was but he knew he needed to go in.

The man walked forward through the castle, Fenrir now followed him. He was almost fascinated with the design, the exterior was a crimson red but on the interior it was a light grey. "The time I come from I only ever came across you guys. I never met your master." After saying that, Fenrir began to regret it as they grew closer to the throne room.

"Well. Now is your chance to meet him." He smirked and opened the large door. Once opened Fenrir could feel the aura again but it was faint, sending a chill down his spine.

"Master, I brought Fenrir as you ordered." He bows slightly then stood up again.

"Thank you, Alister. Go ahead and get the others ready."

"Yes master." He turns to Fenrir and smirks again before leaving.

Fenrir now stands in the white throne room of an unknown enemy. "Why have you brought me here?" He asks and takes a step forward.

"Well you did kind of ruin my original plan." The man in crimson armor stands up and steps down from his throne. His eyes were closed under his helmet as he steps further down. The moment he reached the base of the throne, he opened his eyes and flared at Fenrir, his aura spreading throughout the room and reaching Fenrir. Fenrir stands there unable to move as the pressure of this man grew stronger than before.

"I don't like showing off my powers but this is just a small taste of it..."

Fenrir's hands began to tremble, losing everything for revenge and now standing before such power, he wasn't even sure of what to do now until he began to hear a soft and familiar voice whisper in his ear.

"You're never alone Brother... We'll always be with you."

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Thank you Hel... I needed that." He finally was able to relax for a moment, unaffected by this strange power now.

"I see you have adjusted now. Maybe it is time for the main event, don't you agree?"

He looks at the man "What are you planning?"

"I can't be a god just yet, you ruined my original plan like I said. Now that you've brought most of them to me..."

He stops and realized he messed up again. "You keep using me no matter what..." His eyes begin to glow red once more. "My father, Set, You.... My father did it for a good reason but you and Set are just alike..." He shifts into his wolf form just in time to hear the clashing outside. "I won't let you have your way again..."

"Do you really think you are strong enough to face me. I know the Trio could've easily taken me, but you don't have it."

Fenrir begins to growl and readies himself for a fight, a fight he knows he might not win. His body begins to shift into the Demonic form but keeping his wolf size, ice begins to form on the ground and the White marble floor begins to decay. Sighing softly, he now fully realized what his sister meant, but will it be strong enough?

"Hmm. I didn't think you had that power... Unless..." He smiles as he just realized himself. "You're just ready to cause Ragnarok aren't you? You are facing me, Archangel, God of The Six."
