Jamil P.O.V. 1st Person
Kneeling in front of the blue haired magi I bowed my head, letting off a relieved smirk. "I've been waiting, Magi. I've waited ten years for you to appear."
I observed the scene around me. A blanket hung above the ceiling, his head resting on another, and a third rest on top of him. Some water and food was set by him with a lantern as well. The boy was asleep, but it looked like he may be weak right now. Brilliant. This would make it easy to win his favor. "Oh dear, I hope you're not injured." He seemed sound asleep, maybe I could just cut the humble crap and be myself. I shook my head, feeling (y/n)'s hand resting on my shoulder.
They leaned over, resting a hand on his forehead. I glanced at their (e/c) eyes to which they shook their head no. "He's just sleeping."
"Goltas!" I motioned him forward. He approached, picking our dear Magi up with one hand and hanging him on his shoulder. Letting him lead the way, Morgin, (y/n), and I followed.
"Wait! What are you doing?" The blonde commoner called out. 'Just ignore him.' I turned to (y/n), letting out a hearty laugh to which none of them made any sound. Tugging their hand forward, I motioned to the exit of the tunnel. He ran in front of us, "I said wait! Where do you think you're going? Aladdin stays here!" We all went silent, I sent him a frown. 'I was just going to ignore him, but I can't now. Stupid commoner: always begging for attention.'
"That's what I'd like to ask," I pointed towards him in distaste, furrowing my brows, "Why are you following us?" 'Trying to spoil my chances? Oh, please. Get out of my way, insect.'
"Why am I...? That boy's with me! Don't take him away." I was starting to feel irritated, especially with that attitude of his. I clenched my hand tightly on (y/n)'s, looking back towards Goltas.
"He's with you? Hahaha really?" I waved my hand around as if shaking off the idea. "Listen boy. I'm on important business that isn't for regular folk. You're unnecessary, so go." I walked past him, clinging (y/n) closer to my side.
His hand grabbed my shoulder, "I said wait!"
I swiftly smacked his filthy hand off. Turning, I glared back at him, "Excuse me, did you just tell me to... wait?!" I sighed, walking away again and past Goltas. Didn't he know how merciful I was to let him live and flee? "Unruly commoner. Goltas, kill him."
You could hear Goltas' large feet clomping towards the boy, his chains clinking. I could only imagine the way he towered over the boy and the sound of his breathing filling up the mask. "Kill… no no no... you're joking, right?"
I couldn't help but snicker. "Sure." I stared back at his begging golden orbs. 'What's taking so long? Just make it quick, I don't have time for this.' Goltas raises his sword but the boy dodges as it slams into the ground.
I gasped, Morgin and (y/n) were watching in just as much shock as the boy managed to restrain Goltas, holding a dagger to the slave's throat. He got the larger male on his knees and immobile. "What's the big deal, huh?" There was silence as he glared at me with the same annoyed pout I gave him moments before.
I could feel a grin climbing up my face. Clapping my hands together I started laughing, "Incredible! I can't believe you dodged that! Seems I underestimated you!"
You could see the relief on his face as he huffed out a tired laugh, "Hah... ha ha... ha..."
Gripping onto my sword, I stabbed Goltas in the gut. "By comparison, you're useless. Work is a human responsibility, but a slave is less than human. If a slave can't do its job, how much punishment is enough?" I ground the sword deeper and deeper. "This much? This much? Oh, no, more than this?!"
I could hear the boy muttering to himself about me, "What's with this guy?" I guess he'd never seen someone who knew how to properly use a slave. With his attitude though, I'm sure he would've been dead by now if he had. The boy was shaking, and I stopped shifting the blade. "He's not normal, he's insane..." 'What did he call me? I'm just using the power that's mine. The things that are mine.' I glanced in his direction, approaching his trembling form. (y/n) followed closely behind me, but Morgin stood his ground.
But he could be a pawn in my game, if I used him right. I could always kill him later. "Oh right, you wanna be useful? Fine, I'll put you to work." I pointed my blade at him giving him a wicked grin. "Walk ahead of us and sniff out traps. Only then, can you come with me. You will do it… right?" There was no answer, only a quiet 'Sure.' I pushed the tip of the blade against the fabric of his shirt. "Look me in the eye when you answer." I snarled, the four of us glaring down at him.
Amber eyes stared confidently into mine, he nodded. "Tch." Getting up, I had him help carry luggage along the way there. We hurried along as he led with the lantern. "Great then! I lost most of my slaves near the entrance! It was such an inconvenience! But now I've got you! Make sure you're a good boy, mmkay?" He looked pathetic dragging his feet along the path. He seemed to be plotting something, but I won't let a commoner get in my way. "If you make it out alive, you can even work for me!" I smiled. Because I would make it out of here. I would be king. I pulled out the flute I saw around Magi's neck. "What's this flute?" I exclaimed, trying it out, but it didn't make a sound. He slowed down glancing back in my direction. 'Gotcha.' "I wouldn't want him to drop it in his sleep, so I'll take care of it for him."
