"Thirty three… thirty two… thirty one…"
I stare at the clock on the wall, counting the seconds before my 'mission' commences. My blood is boiling and not just from the anger I feel towards my family but from what I'm about to do.
As the clock strikes 8 o'clock, I pull out my boots from under the bed and start to put them on. There's a quiet knock on the door as a stuff my wallet into my backpack. The door opens and dad sticks his head in the head.
"Edan? Can we talk?" My back is turned to him so he doesn't see what I'm doing.
"When I get back." I pull on my baseball cap and sling the bag over one shoulder as I head for the door.
"Get back? From where? Where are you going?" I push the door further open and slide past him.
