"I can't believe we have to take Divination class. What's the point?" Ron leans back in his seat making sure.
"I know right." I silently agree. "Ms. Trelawney is so weird as well." I get mad. I can't manage scrying and I've been trying for two weeks now. I've found some hacks and secret spells that help to manipulate the crystal ball but in the end she'll know if I try to deceive her. But he won't.
I make sure that Ron is distracted with rereading the same page over and over again trying to find out what we are doing wrong. Ms. Trelawney is also distracted explaining some students what they should do in order to make more detailed predictions. When I figure that everyone is busy doing something else I discreetly take out my wand silently whispering the spell I found in one of my mother's old books.
"Somnum exterreri solebat sem."
Draco who seemed very unbothered until now suddenly seems startled as he gets closer to the Crystal ball. His eyes are filled with fear and his already pale skin becomes even paler and it looks like he's about to throw up. I felt a smile creep onto my face as he started to panic and look around. Before his eyes could meet mine I looked down pretending to be busy with my Crystal ball.
"What is wrong with Malfoy?" Ron asked me.
"What do you mean?" I pretend to be clueless. Out of no where a loud sound from a chair falling down echoes the room and everyone turns silent. I only catch a glimpse of Draco tossing the glass ball to the ground and running out the room. It shatters into a million pieces of glass which spread on the floor.
"What the-" Hermione yells out in shock.
"What happened?" Ms. Trelawney asks Crabbe who just shrugs his shoulder still looking startled. "Can you please go after him and check if he's okay? Hermione, could you get a broom from the cabinet? Everyone please be careful with the glass shards. Class ends early today."
Everyone starts muttering and conspiring what Malfoy must have seen in his future that shocked him so much.
"I've never seen Malfoy so scared. He looked like he was about to cry. What do you think his future showed him?" Harry wonders as we walk down the hallway.
"I don't know. I'm curious though." I lie knowing exactly what he saw.
-
It's been three days since anyone saw Malfoy. He skipped every class and I didn't even see him in the Slytherin dorm. Some rumours said that he left Hogwarts, but I saw Crabbe buying two times the amount of food he usually does so I just figured that he's probably in his room feeling terrible.
It's currently 2am and I can't sleep again so I'm at the rooftop taking some fresh air. When I hear footsteps appear behind me I panic thinking it's a teacher. I wish it would've been one.
"Leave." I just tell him. He looks terrible. The redness in his eyes stand in contrast with the paleness of his skin. His eye bags are darker than a late winter night and there is no sign of his usual put together self to be seen. When he realises it's me his eyes widen.
"Sorry." He attempted to turn around and actually leave but for some reason I needed to rub salt into the wound.
"What is it though?" I stand up and slowly walk into his direction. "What was it that you saw in your future that left you so scarred?"
"Nothing." He couldn't even look me in the eyes.
"Didn't seem like it was nothing." I started to laugh. He looked up and obviously seemed confused.
"What are you laughing at?" His voice was hoarse. He probably cried.
"Tell me. How did it feel?"
"How did what feel?"
"How did it feel seeing your mother die?"
"W-What? How do you-"
"How did it feel' I took a step closer. 'seeing your mother cry? Seeing your father being brutally murderer? Tell me, Malfoy. Did it hurt? Did it hurt you?"
"How do you know that?" It took him a few seconds until he realised. "Did you manipulate the Crystal ball?"
"Bingo!" I clap my hands laughing.
"Are you sick?" His voice gets louder and clearer. I can see his hand forming into a fist and his jaw clenching. "Did you let me believe that my family would die? Why? Why would you do that?"
"Because I know it'd hurt you."
He looks startled.
"Because I wanted you to feel the same pain I felt but even worse. And I won't stop. I won't stop until you loose everything you love."
"I did not kill your-"
"But your father did." I pushed him away. "And what did you do? Nothing. You did absolutely nothing. Tell me. Did you know? Did you know your father was plotting against mine? Did you know he wanted to kill him? Did you?" I was just screaming at this point.
"No! I swear I didn't!"
"I don't believe a word you say! You're a liar. You are a liar just like your traitor of a father. My father trusted him! He fucking trusted him! But your father killed him. Just because he didn't believe in what Slytherins believed in. Your family is pathetic. You are pathetic!"
"I am sorry."
"A little late for apologising, isn't it? I loved him! I loved him! My father is dead." My voice breaks and my eyes start getting filled with tears. "I will never see him again. Do you even know how it feels to be loved? Since your family is a cold hearted pack of monsters you probably don't. You wanna know something, Malfoy? You're such a fucking, pathetic freak. Let me guess. Daddy never showed you any love? Mommy never complimented your drawings? How does it feel to be a fucking disappointment? You are not good enough. Whatever you do, you do it wrongly. You can't even be evil and make your parents proud. And you can't be good either. You're gonna die alone, knowing that no one likes you. Knowing that you never had anyone to love you. Knowing that you were a mistake." I breathe out.
Up to this day I regret what I said that day. He did mess up, yes. But it wasn't his fault though. But I was so filled with anger and hate and since it was the first time I actually talked about my father's death and he just happened to be there I let it all out.
While I was yelling at him I kept pushing him away further and further until only a few inches separated him and the free fall. I look down and then back to him. "You should jump." I give him one last look and then turn around and leave the rooftop.
"Did you see Malfoy?" Crabbe encountered me on the stairwell.
I was debating on whether I should just keep my mouth shout. The problem would solve itself. "No."
He attempted to turn around and go back downstairs.
But my consciousness kicked in. But my consciousness kicked in. "Wait. He's upstairs. Rooftop."
Telling him was probably the smartest decision I made that day.
I walk downstairs back to my room not even bothering to get changed. I just lay down on my bed looking to the ceiling. Head empty.

"Back then when I was laying in my bed that night I didn't know that the moment I wake up he won't be there anymore.", I sighed.
