Azazel, a fallen watcher, the Angel of war.
Within Dudael, is the fallen Angel.
During his imprisonment, Azazel has been raising his daughter.
A young girl whose name is Sera.
Azazel was holding his daughter close, for he, as usual, was protecting his child from the unforgiving Haboob with his wings.
Sera, in an attempt to block out the horrible sounds of the Haboob, listened to her father's strong and mighty heart.
" Sera… " said Azazel.
The young Nephilim looked up at her father.
" My child…. you have only known suffering, loneliness. All because of my sin. Which gave me you… but. I see now, believe now. That it was all worth it… all the pain… " said the Angel of war.
" Why is that, father? " asked the innocent sweet little girl.
Azazel now gave his daughter a warm hug.
" For I have you… " said the fallen watcher.
Sera now started to cry.
She did not cry, when she was alone, for she had her father.
She did not cry, when the sandstorm was tearing away at her skin, for she had her father to protect her.
She now cried, because her father cried.
" It is now time for you to go… " said Azazel.
" Papa…. I don't want to leave you.. " said Sera as she held onto her father, as tight as her little arms allowed.
" You must. You can't suffer for my sins. You must go, and live " said the mighty Angel of war, with the smile of a father.
" Papa… "
Those were the last words Azazel heard from his daughter, as Sera was now teleported away.
He was now alone… amidst his brethren… all suffering from their sins of lust.
A bit of context;
The historical Emperor Commodus. Was…. well…. a far cry from his beloved and legendary father.
But!
I am here now to fix that.
I may not do it well, but I will in this story, make the son of Marcus Aurelius Antoninu.
A good and wise Emperor.
I will do justice to the Philosopher Kings bloodline.
The year is 190 CE
Location; Commodiana.
Part 1
Sera found herself, amidst something unusual.
She was used to seeing the dry and depressing image that was Dudael.
But now. Everywhere she looked, she saw colors of all kinds, she saw people happy and smiling, she heard laughter of joy and happiness.
Sera was so confused, she did not know what to do.
" Papa…. "
" You look lost "
Sera turned around and saw a kind and warm face of a man.
" What is your name, little one " said the man as he was kneeling down to Sera.
" Sera… "
" Good to meet you Sera. My name is Maximus. Where are your parents? "
Sera now started to cry.
" I see "
Maximus now extended his hand.
" Why don't you follow me? "
Sera noticed that Maximus had the same face as her father, the face of a kind warrior.
Sera took Maximus' hand, and the two of them now walked, towards the palace.
As they were walking.
Sera yet again noticed all the love and joy of the people of Commodiana.
Maximus could now feel Sera's once cold hand, now becoming warmer.
Maximus and Sera now reached the palace.
" My Emperor "
" Two secs Maximus " said the Emperor joyfully.
Maximus was just smiling.
" What is going on? " asked Sera.
" You see that guy over there? That is Giovanni Paolo Pannini, and he is painting something that the Emperor has been waiting for, for a long time, Modern Commodiana "
" It is finished, " said Giovanni.
The Emperor now showed a childlike excitement as he beheld the painting.
Emperor Commodus now looked at the legendary painter.
" Giovanni, please marry me "
The painter giggled.
" I am happy to see that the Emperor is pleased "
" Pleased? My good friend! You have made something that not even Athena or Arachne could ever hope of coming close to! " yelled the Emperor so loud that even Athena heard it. But. Minerva decided not to react on her anger.
For even Athena had to admit that what the painter had made, was truly a masterpiece.
The Emperor now turned to Maximus.
" My loyal- and good general " said the Emperor as he gave his dear friend a hug.
" What can I do for you, Maximus? " said the Emperor with a smile.
Maximus gestured to Sera, who was now hiding behind Maximus' leg.
The Emperor kneeled down, and said gently;
" Hello. And who might you be? " said the Emperor with a smile.
Sera now hid her face behind Maximus' leg.
" Oh no. Please don't be afraid, " said the Emperor worried.
Sera now looked at the Emperor, and Commodus just had a warm and passionate smile.
Sera, now smiled as well.
" My name is Commodus "
" My name is Sera "
" It is an honor and a pleasure to meet you, Sera " said Commodus as he extended his hand. But, Sera instead gave the Emperor a hug.
Commodus could feel that Sera was shaking a bit, so he picked her up, and held her in his embrace.
Commodus then turned to Maximus.
" Where are her parents? "
But Maximus just shook his head.
Commodus now had an expression of compassion on his face.
He could also feel that Sera had now fallen asleep in his arms.
The Emperor walked to a room, so that Sera could rest.
After a while.
Sera awoke, in a new place.
She noticed that she had the Emperor's cloak as her blanket.
She knew that it was the Emperors, for it was purple.
Sera looked around the beautiful decorated room, but, despite the beauty, Sera still felt alone.
" Oh, you are finally awake "
Sera now saw an old man at the door.
She also saw three children, about her age, standing behind the old man.
The old man walked over to Sera, he then gave her a glass of water.
" Hello child. My name is Chrétien de Troyes, and these three little angels are my grandchildren. Florismarte, Segramor and Andronia " said Chrétien as he was pointing at his grandchildren.
Florismarte, Segramor and Andronia were all three just staring at Sera.
Chrétien could see that Sera was getting uncomfortable.
" Why don't you three go and get Zeno? " said Chrétien.
" I thought that he was in Cyprus? " said Segramor.
" He was in Cyprus, he came home last night, " said Andronia.
" Let us go! " said Florismarte.
The three children now ran out of the room.
" They can be a bit of a handful " said Chrétien with a smile.
Chrétien then noticed Sera crying.
" Come now. Why are you crying? " asked Chrétien, with the loving tone of a grandfather.
" I(sniff) miss my papa… "
Chrétien now held Sera in his embrace.
" I know that it can be hard. But please rest assured. I am certain that your father is in a better place "
Sera cried even more, for she knew better.
" My Emperor " said Chrétien.
Sera now saw Commodus standing at the door.
" My dear advisor. Will you please give us a moment? " said Commodus.
" Of course sir " said Chrétien as he left.
Commodus walked over, and now sat on Sera's bed.
Sera held out her blanket, as to return it to the Emperor.
Commodus simply took the blanket and then wrapped it around Sera.
" You need it more than I do " said the Emperor with a smile.
Sera was quiet, as she felt the warmth of the cloak.
" What will happen to me now? " asked Sera.
" Well. I would imagine that you have no place to call home " said the Emperor.
Sera was quiet.
" No matter. For from this day onward. Commodiana is your new home " said Commodus as he had a warm smile.
It was that warm smile, which melted away the last ice on Sera's poor heart, she too, now had a warm smile.
" So pretty… "
Hiding behind the door was Florismarte, Segramor, Andronia, Zeno and Chrétien.
The Emperor gestured that they could come in.
Everyone now entered, and then cheered, for Sera had now become a part of their family.
Fire and ice
One day.
Sera was walking within a forest, alone.
At the beginning of the day.
She was walking with Commodus and Maximus, but Sera got lost amidst the crowd, she was now in a huge forest, alone, crying, while the Emperor, worried, sendt out his whole army- looking for Sera.
Sera, in the meantime, was walking around the forest, the only thing that could be heard, was her tears hitting the ground and the sniffing of her nose.
Sera then felt something cold land on her rosy colored cheek.
She opened her eyes, and saw pure white snow, everywhere.
" Wow… " uttered Sera, for it was the first time she had seen snow.
Sera walked around this wonderland of ice and snow.
She picked some snow up, and then threw it up in the air.
She giggled with joy.
" It is pretty, is it not? "
Sera turned around, and saw a woman, that looked like snow itself, like winter itself, and calling this woman pretty, would be an insult to her beauty.
" Wow…. " said the young Nephilim.
The woman smiled and then kneeled down.
The woman gently ran her cold hand on Sera's warm cheek.
" See, even the cold can be gentle "
" May I know your name, pretty lady? " said Sera all shy.
The woman giggled.
" But of course. My name is Khione. Now, may I know your name? "
" My name is Sera, pretty lady Khione " said Sera with joy.
Khione now held Sera in her embrace.
Sera could now feel, with her cheek, the one warm place on Khione's body, her chest.
" Look! " said Sera, while pointing down at the ice.
Khione now saw magma underneath her ice.
The top part of the ice was being lit up by the magma below, it truly looked magical, and yet again, Sera said;
" Wow… "
" I see, she wants to show off a bit, " said Khione with a smile.
Before Sera could ask what she meant.
Sera now saw another woman approach.
This woman had a fiery beauty to her.
She was hot, and dangerous.
She was Pele.
" I thought that you could use some heat to balance out the cold, " said Pele, as she gently placed her hand on Sera's cheek.
" Soooo warm " said Sera, as she was enjoying the warm touch.
Things continued in a likewise manner.
Khione and Pele both showed Sera, the beauty, that was fire and ice.
Sera could now hear the worried Emperor closing in.
" I don't want you two to leave… " said Sera, sad.
Khione and Pele, each placed a hand on Sera's cheeks.
" Who said that we would leave? " said Pele.
" From this day onward. We will be with you, forever " said Khione.
The two goddess now inhabited Sera's body.
Sera could feel something cold, and something hot, within her chest.
" Sera! " yelled Commodus, as he ran over and then picked up Sera.
" Thank the gods….. I was so scared..." said Commodus, as he was holding Sera, while she was resting her head on his strong shoulders.
" Where did all this snow come from? And…. is that lava?.... " said Maximus.
Rome, the chicken
On this day.
Emperor Commodus has a strange visit, a man, from out of time, has come to Commodiana.
" Who are you? " asked the Emperor.
" My name is Dr. Joseph Bell, " said the Englishmen.
" Why aren't you using your real name? " asked the Emperor, intrigued.
" Ah. But you see. This is my real name " said the doctor and detective.
" What brings you here, to my Commodiana? "
" You see, Emperor. I had a good five minutes- before I went to Scotland Yard with the Isdal woman case solved, so I decided to come here to your exquisite kingdom to see it for myself " said the detective with his usual charm and cheer.
" Okay…. But… How did you get here? "
" Ah. An excellent question, good Emperor, but I am sorry to say that you asked the wrong one. The real question is; Why? "
Emperor Commodus did not know what to make of the situation….
Dr. Joseph Bell now looked at his pocket-watch.
" Good heavens! I really must go. It would be rude to keep Watson waiting. Emperor. It has been an honor " said the detective, who went as he came, from out of nowhere.
Sera made a new friend this day, a chicken.
This chicken was once the man known as Alectryon, the once mortal turned into the god of chickens by Ares.
Alectryon could talk, and now went by the name; Rome.
Rome has been blessed with the ability to transform into a feathered dragon, a form that makes him more massive than the colossus of Rhodes, and more feathered than Quetzalcoatl.
So yeah…
Rome the dragon-chicken-god, is now Sera's companion.
Part 2
Rebellion
" I will help make you stronger… "
Sera now awoke, sweating and her heart beating fast.
Sera looked around in her room, but all she saw was the light of Diana.
" Is something wrong? " asked Khione.
" No…. no, it was nothing " said Sera as she went back to sleep.
Later.
A Praetorian Guard entered the throne-room.
" My Emperor. There has been a request for combat, and the challengers wish to battle you, my Emperor " said the guard.
" Really? A challenge has not been sent in years, since my kingdom has become so peaceful "
Commodus opened the latter and then said;
" Spartacus and Maternus… hmmm. That last name sounds familiar. But since they are two, I would need another to fight alongside me. Maximus, you up for some fun? " said the Emperor with a smile.
" Always " said Maximus with a smile as well.
" It has been settled! To the colosseum! "
Sera thought that the Forum had a special kind of energy, but she was blown away by the crowd's energy at the legendary colosseum.
" It has been a while since the last battle here at the colosseum, " said Zeno.
" Indeed, and it shows, just hear the roar of the crowd " said Chrétien.
The Roman crowd was more excited than any football game.
The bard-announcer now said;
" Romans, of all ages. It is my honor today to present the grand fight that is about to take place.
On the left side; we have the Emperor and the general; Commodus and Maximus!!!! (The crowd cheered) on the right side; we have the challengers, who have told me that they represent freedom through rebellion; Spartacus and Maternus!!!! (The crowd cheered) Now. I know that all of you are as excited as I am. So, without, further ado. Let the gladiatorial-games begin!! "
And thus the match began, and it was a fierce one.
The crowd witnessed each warrior display herculean level of skill of combat.
But, it seemed like this day, that the rebellion was put down.
Commodus and Maximus were victories, but something strange was happening.
Spartacus and Maternus were slowly turning into dust.
But as they were vanishing, the two rebel warriors started to sing;
" Do you hear the people sing?.... "
" Singing a song of angry men…. "
" It is the singing of a people who will not be slaves again…. "
The two rebel warriors now disappeared.
Both shall forever inspire change.
But rest assured Spartacus and Maternus, Commodiana is a peaceful place.
For Emperor Commodus is fair and just, and most importantly, he is beloved by his people.
HH
" Is it not a lovely day " said Rome, the chicken, while he was being carried by Sera.
" It sure is, " said Sera, enjoying the blessed weather.
" You know Sera. I have been wondering… "
" Yes? "
" Do you eat chicken? "
" Well, yes. You guys taste delicious! " said Sera as she was hugging her friend.
" Hmmm. Maybe I can convince you to become a vegan, down the line… " said the chicken as he was enjoying the loving hug.
Sera now stopped walking.
For there were two LARGE individuals standing ahead of her.
" They are HUGE! (Cluck!)" said the chicken.
" Uhm. Hello… " said Sera, as she was hiding her face in Rome's feathers.
The one man readied his club, and the other readied his mace.
" Uhm… Khione, Pele, a bit of context? " said Rome.
" The men standing before you, one is Hercules, and the other, is his lover and dear friend; Hylas, " said Khione.
" Want me to roast them? " said Pele.
" Nah. I got this(Cluck) " said Rome.
" Sera. I want you to go and hide. This is going to be ugly " said the chicken with what seemed like a smile.
Sera did as she was told.
Rome now walked up to the two heroes.
The two giants looked down at the little chicken.
" Uhm, herc. Did you order dinner? " said Hylas.
" Well. Chicken breast is filled with a lot of protein " said Hercules with a smile.
" Sorry gentlemen. But this chicken fights back " said Rome as his eyes glowed.
Rome now transformed into his feathered dragon-serpent form.
Rome was massive in size, he was longer than the great Wall of China, and as stated before, more feathered than Quetzalcoatl.
" So, Herc, my love. How much protein is that? " asked Hylas while pointing at the feathered world-serpent.
Hercules simply smiled and readied his club.
" I don't know. But I really wanna find out! "
To say that a legendary battle followed, would be putting it mildly and kind of insulting.
For the battle between Hercules, Hylas and Rome, was more grand than words could ever describe.
The battle ended, in Rome's victory.
The two lovers disappeared, while bumping-fists.
Colored love
Sera was witnessing something truly magical.
She was watching Florismarte, Andronia and Segramor training.
Despite the fact that these three were still children, they had already mastered many weapons, from swords, spears, bow, you name it, they have mastered it.
These three are truly the spitting image of their great father.
Sera's eye now caught a glimpse of something.
She saw a hippogriff in the nearby forest.
Sera got up and then ran after the magical creature.
After having arrived at the other side of the forest.
Sera now saw a group of men before her.
The hippogriff walked over to the man who appeared to be the leader of the group.
" Well done Buckbeak " said the leader as he was petting his old and loyal friend.
The men did not look scary, quite the opposite, they looked friendly and pretty.
Sera started to walk towards the men, thinking that they were friendly, but the leader held out his hand; as a sign that they were not friendly.
" Who are you? " asked Sera.
" I am Astolfo, these are my men, the Sacred Band of Thebes, and this is my advisor " said Astolfo, as he was gesturing to his advisor.
" The name is Sir Isaac Newton. How do you do? "
" My name is Ser- but before Sera could finish- Astolfo caught her off by saying;
" We know who you are, little Nephilim "
Sera now started to feel scared.
" What do you want?... " asked Sera.
" I am afraid… that we have been sent to kill you " said Astolfo coldly.
A chill ran down Sera's whole body.
" But… why? I didn't do anything… " said the scared little girl.
" Please little miss. Don't get the wrong idea. We are not here because we want to be here. Our wills are not our own " said Isaac.
" Who sendt you? " asked Sera, wishing to help.
But Astolfo simply mounted Buckbeak, and made a sign for his men to get ready.
" I am truly sorry little one " said Astolfo.
Sera's whole body froze.
" This is going to be very gay " said Astolfo proudly.
(Note; the medieval form of gay means; brightful or cheerful)
The men charged at Sera, but that was when Khione had had enough.
The goddess of winter froze the whole group in their tracks.
" Hmm. I did calculate the risk. But even I did not see this coming… " said the great mathematician, from within his ice coffin.
The ground under the men now opened up.
The men now fell into very hot magma.
" Are you okay? Sera " said Khione.
" I am…but… who would be so cruel? To make someone do something they don't want to… " said Sera.
" I don't know…. but I really wanna melt that individual, " said Pele, as the magma got more hotter.
" Sera. Go back to the others. They are probably worried about you, " said Khione.
Sera did just that, but she still wondered.
Who was behind all this?
Part 3
The 11th
" What are you writing? " asked Sera.
" Well. My father wrote his meditation. So I thought that it was high time for me to write my own, " said Commodus.
" 'I am grateful for Sera'? " said the Nephilim surprised.
" You are grateful for me? "
" Of course. You have brought much joy in my life. And I am forever grateful to you for that " said the Emperor, as he was patting Sera's head.
Sera's eyes glowed with joy and love.
" Emperor! " said a guard.
" What is it? " asked Commodus.
" An army…. " said the guard as cold sweat could be seen on his forehead.
" An army?! " said Commodus, surprised.
The Emperor now walked out to his general.
" Maximus. What is this about an army? "
" Sire. An army has appeared just outside Commodiana "
" Where did this army come from? "
" We have no idea…. they just appeared out of thin air "
" I see. Are they hostile? "
Maximus nodded his head.
" War it is then "
Commodus kneeled down to Sera.
" Sera. I want you to go inside and stay safe " said the Emperor.
Sera looked worried.
" Now what is with that worried look " said Commodus as he was gently pinching Sera's cheek.
Sera smiled a bit.
" There you go " said Commodus, who was smiling as well.
" Don't worry. Me and Maximus will return "
" Pinky promise? " said Sera, as she was holding out her pinky.
" Pinky promise " said Commodus, as he made the promise.
The Emperor and his general, along with the army of Commodiana, now reached the enemy.
" Has the leader given his name? " asked Commodus.
" He calls himself; Constantine the 11th " answered Maximus.
" Constantine the 11th? I have never heard of him. But I must give credit when credit is due. His army is truly Impressive " said the Emperor, as he beheld the mighty army of Constantine the 11th.
" Sire. They have arrived, " said one of Constantine's generals.
Constantine turned towards his mighty and glorious army.
" Men. I am sorry to say. That I won't be giving a long speech this time- his men giggled- But! I will say this. Consider now, my brothers and comrades in arms, how the commemoration of our death, our memory, fame and freedom can be rendered eternal! "
The men cheered so loudly, that even the Roman(Greek) gods could hear them.
" Now that's what I am talking about " said Ares, who considered joining the fight, but Zeus just glared at him.
" I think that they are ready, " said Maximus with a smile.
" Whatever gave you that idea… " said Commodus with a smile as well.
The Emperor now raised his sword.
" My Romans! My people of Commodiana. Will you all stand and fight with me? " said Commodus.
The men cheered as a sign that they were ready to die for their beloved Emperor.
Commodus now turned towards the enemy.
" I am the Emperor Caesar Lucius Aelius Aurelius Commodus Augustus Pius Felix Sarmaticus Germanicus Maximus Britannicus Pacifier of the Whole Earth, Invincible, the Roman Hercules, Pontifex Maximus, Holder of the Tribunician Authority for the eighteenth time, Imperator for the eighth time, Consul for the seventh time, Father of his Country, to consuls, praetors, tribunes, and the fortunate Commodian senate, King of kings, Look upon my works and men, ye Mighty and give into despair! " yelled mighty and wise Commodus, who amazingly had the lung capacity to say all this.
A grand and legendary battle began.
Many warriors met a glorious death that day, the fallen were in the gentle care of the god of peaceful death and the ferryman.
After a long struggle.
Commodus and his men were victorious.
As the Emperor, his general and all his men were being welcome back like heroes by the Commodians.
Sera ran through the crowd, straight towards the Emperor.
Commodus quickly dismounted, and the two now embraced in a loving hug.
" You kept your promise… " said Sera, as the tears of joy would not stop.
" Of course " said Commodus, while gently holding the shaking Sera.
From that day onward.
Sera decided to become as strong as the Emperor.
Within Dudael.
Azazel opens his eyes, to look abon one of Archangel Gabriel's Hounds.
These hounds help the beloved messenger deliver his messages across all of creation.
" What do you want? " asked the Angel of War.
The hound simply walked over and placed a letter in front of Azazel.
The hound then flew away.
Azazel read the letter, which said;
" Be patient. For the Lord has not forgotten you " - Gabriel.
Azazel simply smiled, as he for once, after so many years, he felt a bit of hope in his chest.
